Refeed are one of the best feeling ever. Look 10x fuller too :)

I think my last 3 refeeds fell on leg days. So I don't feel the fullness or the pump much, but I definitely like the increase in strength and muscular endurance.

Updates:
Legs are starting to get some more vascularity.
Already started tanning. Going to continue probably 3x per week.

Going to start getting the skin ready by clipping the hair this week with no guard and exfoliating and then shaving 1-2x per week.
 
Refeed:
Calories 3800-3900

Macros:
Protein 485g
Carbs 390g (not including broccoli, spinach)
Fat 33g

Carbs back to 75g tomorrow!
 
Typically:

Fats only fats in protein sources (chicken, turkey, and EFA soft gels)

Yep!

Extra rice at 2 meals, sweet potato at 3 meals, and I actually made pancakes!

Mashed 1 sweet potato (6oz)
1 c liquid egg whites
1 scoop of elite xt (woulda used 2 but ran out, so used WPI instead)
1/2 scoop whey iso
Cinnamon

Blended it up to make pancake batter. Woulda used more sweet potato (it was kinda egg whiteyish) but it was my last meal of carbs for the day and I'd used up my other potato carbs earlier in the day.
 
That's a hella amour of protein, I struggle at times to hit 220-230 lol.

Your still having shakes I see so I suppose that helps. Other than that what's your main source of protein?

1.5 c liquid egg whites 2x daily
7oz ground turkey 99% 1x daily (measured cooked)
8oz chicken 3x daily (measured cooked)

Used to have ground beef but dropped it and added chicken.

In the past I've made a home remedy with:
Crushed aspirin tabs
Witch hazel
70% alcohol
Dalacin -C (antibiotic)

Worked like a charm within days! Especially when tanning.

BUT I'm out of the antibiotic :(

What are some of your at home remedies or suggestions bros???

I get the same problem, I tried quite a few things, increasing zinc. Scrubs, exfoliants etc.

But for me nothing worked :( when I can off it obviously cleared up. Id like to know anyone else's opinion too.

I also couldn't eat chicken 3x a day lol
 
I tried that aspirin and witch hazel remedy, works like a charm! Added in some benzoyl peroxide 10% to sweeten the mix

DD had recommended Clearasil Ultra and it works well but when I start breaking out a bit more I up adex to 1 instead of .5. My wife loves to zit pop and that's her main source of me blasting ?

I don't like fish! So chicken it is.

I literally live out of Tupperware so when I get 10-15min between clients at work I just smash a chicken and rice meal.

The only meal I enjoy right now is breakfast, but it's so small! Dropping to 1c egg whites and keeping oats at 1/2 cup.
I finish that in under a minute!

I know! I want to eat more "solid" food because my hunger is through the roof with sll the cardio!

But he wants to keep my fats low, thus the shakes, but I think next week we will probably drop some shakes and chicken and move to 99/1 turkey and egg whites

I've switched to lean turkey and bison and its a nice change to flank steak. I love tilapia and I cook trays and trays of it.

I typically see it 8-8.49 99/1 turkey $5.75 93/7 turkey $4.75 or more Chicken breast $1.99

Pretty consistent with my area. Can you get elk there? When you did your last prep was it similar in protein intake or is your coaches philosophy all new? Is it pin cushion week?

Haven't seen elk around.

Protein is a lot higher than last prep, as are calories. But I'm also 28lbs heavier
I carb cycled for my last prep more frequently than coach has me doing.
He also keeps fat low where I had them higher on lower/no carb days.

I like carb cycling. Allows me to take in carbs on my hardest training days (legs and back)

Basic carb cycle begins similar to this, obviously numbers may be different:

Back High 300+
Chest Low 125-150
Cardio core No <30
Legs High 300 +
Arms Low 125-150
Shoulders Medium 175-200
Cardio core No <30

Then as fat loss slows I'll either add in more cardio OR drop a medium to low OR drop a low to no

I try not to add cardio and change diet in the same week. Helps to prevent muscle loss IMO.

The most extreme I went was kinda CKD style 4-5 days <30 (all from veg) then 1 day 350g (all starchy, as little fats as possible)
The first 2 no carb days aren't too bad but I was full zombie the last 2-3 no carb days.

But I don't suggest doing that for very long.

Even though your carbs are lower/none on some days I'm guessing you still make up your normal calories with added fat & protein?

Yeah. I can't remember exact percentages but I'm still a fan of high protein even on high carb days. I just play with fats and carbs with only slightly changing protein.

Not exactly what I did last time but.

High
Pro 40
Carb 50 (carbs at each meal, trying to focus on starches)
Fat 10

Medium
Pro 45
Carb 40 (split between 4 of 6 meals)
Fat 15

Low
Pro 55
Carb 20 (breakfast and post workout only for starches, veg at other meals)
Fat 25

No
Pro 65
Carb 5 (all from green fibrous veg)
Fat 30

But if I were to do it again I'd probably keep fats at 25% on "no" days and just eat protein for days!

However if the "no" day fell on cardio/core only then typically the calories were 200 lower or so.
 
I agree with only adding In cardio when you're not messing with the diet. I loved one variable at a time this cut and it is working out a lot better than previous cuts.

Protein is 1.5g/lb so about 300/day. One refeed meal per week for sanity. Fasted cardio is at 3 days right now 500 cal each. Lifting 5 days going to 600 test/week starting today.

Heck yeah sounds like a good recomp there! The test will hold onto muscle while u melt the fat

Gonna take some cleanse caps the next 2-3 days to see if it helps with my digestion

My digestive enzymes are in the mail and I'll start them when I get them.

Also picked up L Carnitine to take pre cardio.
 
Digestion slightly improved. Took 3 cleanse caps and 3/4 teaspoon of Epsom salts last night.
Hopefully digestive enzymes will arrive today.

Quick question:

When do you drop ancillary/support supplements?

Right now:
Creatine 2x daily
Bcaa a ton all day
Multivitamin 2x
Fish oil 3x
Saw palmetto 2x
Milk thistle 2x
Hawthorne berry 2-3x
Valerian root (bedtime)
Melatonin (bedtime)

Not sure how these things effect stage condition or water. I'll bring multivitamin to the show to take between pre judging and night and after the night show.
 
I think the only thing that will cause water retention would be the creatine, drop it a few days before. However you may not look as full. It should only be a slight decrease in water.

Then maybe throw it in morning of the show with glycerol

Yeah bro. Its killing me!

I mean I feel tighter, a bit more vascular, a little harder, but the weight wont go down.
Just nervous that it wont drop enough and ill end up carbing up into heavyweight and end up against some 230+ lb monster
Im 5'11'' so id look tiny in heavyweight at 200-205 lbs
I wouldn't look as bad at 198lbs in light heavy.

I plan on moving up and competing at about 215 lbs in the future but obviously that will take time!


New Macros for the week (with the addition of 99/1 turkey and tilapia)

Calories: about 2400
Pro 445g
Cho 95g (25-30g are from broccoli/asparagus/brussel sprouts/spinach)
Fat 23g (not including 6g from fish oil softgels)

Carb meals:
1/2 c (measure dry) oats at breakfast
1 medium apple at snack
1/2 c white rice (measured cooked) in pre workout meal
All other carbs in meals are from veggies only
 
Post up some pics and I agree you're going to kick ass in light heavies!!! Keep grinding, plan looks great, and just think how sick you'll look at the top of light heavy weight!!! Dope!!!
 
Check out that post cardio pump from a few days ago.

Digestion is 50% better than in the photos. A little less bloated now, thank The Lord.
Drank 1 teaspoon of Epsom salt and had a few "cleanse" tabs that helped slightly.

Hopefully the addition of the letro and the drop in carbs will help me lose another few lbs of fat and water in the next few weeks!

Going to bump Clen to 70mcg tomorrow.
