In that case, I'm of the opinion that you should probably do your main work conventional until it gets a little closer. Use your squat volume to build the leg strength for your sumo and really work that weaker conventional pulling to attack other weaknesses and spare the hips and switch to your sumo when you get closer to your meet prep work. Just some food for thought.
