silly question about swallowing pills

From time to time when i swallow a capsule, it guess it doesnt go down all the way and ends up disolving in my chest because ill burp not too long after taking it and can taste it in my mouth.

When this happens, does it mean ur body did not absorb that dose since it didnt break up in your stomach, or it still does absorb because your just swallowing it back down after burping up?
 
Don't overthink it man �� haha yes your body is absorbing whatever you just took. When that happens just drink more water or eat something.

I highly doubt that the capsules just stopping somewhere along your esophagus. It's far more likely that the sphincter at the bottom of your esophagus doesn't close all the way so it's easier for you to burp up your stomach contents than others... What's even more likely is that nothing is out of the ordinary.

For instance, if I swallow some capsules containing cinnamon, I can burp afterwards and I taste cinnamon. It does not mean that the capsule stop somewhere in my esophagus before reaching my stomach.

If you were having capsules stop along your esophagus then you would be having the same problem with food. And I doubt that's the case here.

In other words, you're fine.

Well, there has been times where i will actually burp and powder will come out of my mouth lol. Which led me to think it wasnt going all the way down.
 
I train first thing and take my multi, fish oil, etc.
before the gym, I drink about 1.5l of water in the gym and it makes me burp every so often.... All I taste is fish oil as I train fasted too haha.

I'm used to it now though. :)
 
Try drinking a bit of water before you take the pills.
 
Yea i just down it with a lot of water behind and it usually washes them down but i know the feeling of them seeming to be stuck haha
