So ever since I was in middle school I've had a minor stutter. Lately..at age 25 it's gotten worse from stress. Is there anything that you all recommend as a supplement to help with anxiety/stress?

It was both ****ed up and funny..mine is definitely not that bad. I barely do and if it happens its a few times a week
Have you sought professional help? I knew a guy in primary/ intermediate who had a very bad stutter who saw a speech therapist and within a month it was pretty much gone. Huge improvement
yeah but if it bothers you enough it might be worth it. I had a little gap in my teeth and they said it was fine but I got a retainer to close it because it bugged me personally. Up to you though brother. Best of luck either way.Its not bad enough for that. Only certain words I get screwed up on if I'm stressed or anxious.

I found, and others report, increased speech fluidity with Aniracetam. I have to speak to groups of people ranging from 5-100 people in a room all the time in my career and I can tell you that it has changed my game. Words just come to me and there is no searching for words.
No stuttering here, but anyone that has to speak in public would attest to anxiety and stress when you can't find the words you are looking for.
Good suggestion.
OP kisaj knows his stuff on this so give this a try!
I have no supplement recommendation.
I suggest going straight to the source which is low cortisol. I'd try taking some Nutricology pregnenolone but no other because those not in a lipid matrix do not work. Get the 150mg tabs, start with half, go up from there.

let us know how it goes man. Good luckThanks for the responses. I ordered some bacopa and ashwagandha. Hopefully this helps and if not then I'll try out the therapist.
Are you sure about that?
There is a bit of research floating around on stuttering and not one I have read attributes it to low cortisol.
stuttered until 10th grade. occasionally stims like ephderine or 1'3 bring it out. do you take any stims? i doubt taking a supplement will help. maybe not taking certain things is a better pl;ace to start looking

Ok thanks. Will do
Nothing will help except a speech therapist to give you strategies to use when you get blocked.

Because you never had a stuttering problem...I can understand why you might not realize what a d-bag move that was. Because it was. But obviously you are ignorant on the subject.
Agreed. My wife's is an SLP, they help you to stop.
I have a friend who has a stutter. The only thing that he has seen help him are anti-anxiety medications. That is likely because his stutter is worsened by anxiety though. I doubt they are all that way
Theanine and Ashwagnada are both good for stress
