Exactly!!Mmmmmm.....creepylicious
Guy comes across as seriously creepy,
Exactly!!Mmmmmm.....creepylicious
Some are really clueless in the gym.
I have the same problem as above with an Indian guy.
I'm sat down doing rope face pulls, he sits on the pulldown looking right at me whilst I'm working out, bearing he's what 2ft from my face.
I mean seriously what is it with him, I asked the owner what his deal is and apparently he's learning so will tag onto whoever he admires.
Well he can, just stop being such a space invader.
I'm really having my reservations about this guy, given he's middle aged so should know better.
I now have visions of being hog tied like in deliverence.
ninja edit- just saw that he follows you into the locker room. You need to confront that with the gym management.
True but I should also mention he follows me into the changing room.
That would be a totally different workout.

didn't know you were still here.... Nice squatting... DoucheNothing at the gym has gotten me really pissed lately, except that it is like a freaking library in there. Any time anyone slams weight or makes a sound people just glare at you. So to rectify the situation I was doing some heavy squatting, suicide silence comes on - no pity for a coward , Invalid Link Removed , so at that point its on. Gets to a point in the song where im just looking at the weight I have on the bar and then it happens..... i just scream " PULL THE TRIGGER BIIIIITCCCCHH" and start repping out my old max like it was 135. Pretty big adrenaline rush, after I got some strand death stares and then laughed.

So the same guy that I laughed at for his half shrugs was doing tricep pushdowns on the knee pad of the assisted dip/chin machine. Do I have the right to laugh at him again?
Yes laugh hysterically and very obnoxiously loud at him! Then post pic of his reaction!

Sometimes doing weird exercises on a machine is beneficial. Doing the tricep pressdown on the assisted dip machine can be essentially like doing a diamond pushup. One can position their hands in the fashion you would for the pushup and the triceps are more isolated. Doing shrugs in the standing calf machine is great too, especially with slow negatives. The pads are trying to force your traps down while one tries to contract them.
I travelled the world for a while, and some gyms have very minimal equipment or some just don't have the exact pieces I want to use for certain workouts. I'll improvise however I can. I've been known to use seated calf raises and lat pulldown machines as GHD's many a times. You do what is needed to get sh!t done.

Minced McStaresalot..... K
you're gonna be 40, right??Wade, our Bdays are coming up!!!
Lucked out at the gym today. Decided against my usual postworkout doobie in the back, walked out front and there's a cop checking in.
Niiice. I hope you smoked when you got home? My routine as well
I remember when I turned 40.... OH WAIT
Pretty lucky. Not much goes on at my gym, EXCEPT on the squat rack. Curling, rowing, shrugs, etc... Only 1 squat rack, too. Come on...
Oh, there is this one guy I rarely see. He always loads the bar up way more than he can safely lift (Squat & Bench) and knocks out 1/3 reps. First time I saw him bench, I just saw him and what he had on the bar and just waited thinking I'd surely be yanking the bar off his chest at anytime. Haha. Then I saw how little he was actually moving it and rolled my eyes and walked away.
New Years is here! Aaaaaggghhh!!! So many newbies at the gym today it was scary. But the worst was a dad training his son on legs, and doing so poorly that the poor kid is going to blow out both knees before he graduates high school. I wanted to say something to the guy because I was getting so pissed at his horrible instruction, but went to the desk and asked if anyone who was a CPT could talk to the guy and correct him. Luckily the head trainer was on duty and talked with them. But of course being the douchebag I figured he was, after the head trainer left the guy went right back to having his son doing leg press with his toes pointed in and his feet nice and close together. I felt so bad for that poor kid.
Semi-busy gym. Dude is curling in front of the dumbbell rack/mirror. When he finishes he slams the curl bar to the ground. Not drop. Hurls it into the floor. Every. Single. Set. It wasn't like he was curling 135, but he clearly did that just to make a scene because he'd look around afterwards to see if people were taking notice.
Two kids were doing shrugs right in front of the dumbbell rack today. I had to put my dumbbell back, at first, I stood net to one o them, thinking he would move back with the 3 feet he had behind him. No. I walked right in front of him to put my weight back. I don't want to disrupts anyone's workout and I always walk around if they are looking in the mirror, but come on. Have some common sense and etiquette.
And I say kids, but they were probably mid 20s. When people piss me off, I always call them kid
There's like 10 different guys at my gym who do this. Drives me batsh!t crazy.Pretty lucky. Not much goes on at my gym, EXCEPT on the squat rack. Curling, rowing, shrugs, etc...
