Swol and Boone's Quest To Get Hyooooge

But like everything else, people evolve and it's why we have been around for so long.

I have a hard enough time eating 6k calories in 14hours. No chance I could eat that many, nutrient dense foods, in that window. It may work well for smaller guys but to be elite in this sport, no chance.

I think it has merit of you're smaller and are lean and want an easier time staying lean without the cardio and intense hunger. More food equals more growth.

Guys think to be big you have to use a lot of gas with 10 compounds and extreme doses..... I'll stick to my moderate test doses and "stupid old school eating methods" and wake up weighing 220lbs and a waist that's under 33"

How tall are you DW?

Mirin, that's the long term goal!! Would love to be 5'4" and hit the 180-185 mark with that waist, many years to go

I'm 5'8

I've been doing this for about 10 years but got serious about 3 years ago. First show was August of 2012 and was 167lbs on stage. This next June 2015, I plan on being 198 1/4lbs and best conditioning to date. (Has gotten better each show)

Damn brother that's awesom . Very inspiring to stay consistent and just keep working hard. Can't wait until breezy11 and I get started with my new training and can't wait to see where I'll be in a year or two

I might get flamed for this, but you can make it work regardless of goals.

Like DW said, its not happening if your goal is to add muscle and you require a good amount of calories to grow. I slept in today because I'm sick, and losing those 3 hours of eating time makes a huge difference.

Yeah, consistency is a big factor in one's success. Looking forward to it man.

And breezy if you can get me to 3,500-4,000 cals I'll be the happiest guy in the world lol

Always hungry at 2,800 but still gaining so no need to increase

If im not mistaken, breezy doesnt practice IIFYM!

doesn't mean i can't? lol 95% of my food choices come from whole, nutrient dense food sources

i'm sure as long as that trend continues and doesn't move to a 80/20 mark he won't care. consistency is key. i brought it up to him and we're on the same page in that regard.

besides, if i can't occasionally have a poptart, da fuark am i gonna do with the 5 boxes i still have from Bob lol

Just boiled chicken, greens, and egg whites. No spices or condiments.

If i was being coached by him, i would do whatever the crap said! He knows his stuff!

Exactly! Lolo ;)

breezy, i noticed recently i'm experiencing more doms, would it be wise to up my intra drink to 70g? its progressively getting worse i've noticed, particularly legs. like right now, my legs are shot lol. i'm recovering fine before my next session, just a tad uncomfortable.

could easily take 10g cho from my pre workout meal or post workout meal and put them intra, just don't know if it's necessary.

That IIFYM won a pro-card at nationals this last past week

Oh noez.

I am with Swole though, 90% of my foods are whole foods, micronutrient dense foods and i focus primarily on getting adequate vitamins/minerals/fiber/protein/fat first and foremost. I eat a good dose of veggies/fruits everyday. and my favorite carb sources are potatoes (both), rice, and then ill throw in a roll to make a 94/6 Turkey burger or chicken sandwich on with lettuce/tomato and some fat free cheese. Some cereal here and there, pancakes every now and then.

Swole your on ARA Right?
that is probably why DOMS increased.

yessir. baked tilapia too. my only carb sources can be oats and brown rice... das it mayne

No carbs. They're bad and make everyone fat. :)

The increased soreness is probably due to the ArA (if still using it) and I don't think moving 10g would change that effect.

Speaking of ara doms... Mine seem to have died back down again since bumping up my dose to 1.25g. Very odd. I have 1-2 more workouts with X factor advanced (with fish oil in it) and then I'm into the good stuff with just plain ara.

No I heard you, just wasn't experiencing them in previous weeks with the intra carbs, hence my hesitation to see if its Ara

Try taking extra fish oil away from the ARA dose, to test if it is inflammation from ARA vs. slower recovery from lack of carbs/cals

did exactly this last nice, popped 4g instead of my usual 2g before bed still woke up sore lol, but it's only one day

I see differences over weeks typically, and only ever got extra DOMS with ARA half way through my run. When using Cissus I never get soreness at all

Seriously?!? A 100lbs bikini pro?!?

Don't see any of them in this discussion. I mean if you're going for the minimal muscle, lean look, then yes, you're right on track

Dude I love it. Now I'm going to have to try it on a bagel!! Cannot take all credit. Goliath1 brought this sweetness to my attention. I'm just helping spread the love.

flexible dieting does work just like IIFYM because anyone who eats any food source is fitting your macros even if it is only chicken, oats and broccoli. Some just use small differences in their food sources based off what the mirror is showing and some people tolerate different things to a better degree than some.
many bodybuilders even have won their pro-card doing so (IIFYM/Flexible Dieting), but again personal preference.
Same applied to the NPC and Nationals and a bikini girl (the reference) to the post.

For 99% of us on here that will never make a living off bodybuilding or competing it should be the least of our worries because this will never exceed as a hobby for us.

Blast of pics from last nights aftermath of thanksgiving coming (have to post 1 at a time cuz the app is being a baby). Wasn't able to take anything of the full spread before we started eating as I walked right in and sat down so everything is picked over ha. Menu was: roasted sweet potato chunks, parsnips and creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, gravy, turkey, cranberry apple walnut crisp, green beans with caramelized onions, stuffing, and for dessert apple pie and cranberry cobbler squares.

So, every year my friends from college and I have a little competition on thanksgiving that I think I should spread here. I'll start a separate thread for it but basically it goes like this:

Pre meal weight
Post -pre meal weight = points

Post meal - Weight after First poop after meal= points

Time you spent on the john (less is better) = multiplier for poop weight loss points.

Highest points wins thanksgiving ha.

Maybe I'll make it a promo and give away something from my stash ha.

I'm so excited for my Spanish thanksgiving. My grandma makes homemade empanadas... ****s on any restaurants

I am addicted to empanadas but they are ruined for me forever because no one I know and no restaurants here can make them as good as my ex's mom (Argentinian)

Send me some ;)

What nationality is your grandma?

They only speak Spanish to me also lol they refuse to talk to me and only me, in English. My brother (cause he looks like my Irish mom) gets English, I get Spanish lol
