Article: Natural Bodybuilding: True or False?

I googled you and you aint natty brah

He could be natty, but it aint likely. I'd rather use, compete in an organization that expects me to use (NPC/IFBB), and be as honest as I can about it than to front as a natty and lie about it all day long.

That said, natty guys use GH and GHS products all the time because they r undetected and certain peptides r not on the list of banned substances I imagine.

But I agree that users should stick with NPC and stay away from the natty orgs. It isn't fair or right.

Cavino johnson isn't ****ing natural he's a pathetic douchebag liar. He's one guy who goes out of his way to convince ppl he's natural it's ****ing pathetic

i used to compete in natural shows there was alot of substance abuse hell the last natty show i did the guy that won had mega gyno lol. I switched to NPC 3 years ago not because of drug use but because natural shows are boring. I want to be on stage with freaks i want people puling neck muscles from doing the double take so hard when i walk by and that does not happen with natural physiques.

also theres not many people i dislike more then fake natty douchebags.

Yeah, natty vs. User can often times be synonymous with lying vs. Honesty.

I find it disgusting and hilarious that the general, non-competitive population thinks that using gear is an exception found only in a few dishonest athletes. In truth, it's the folks they believe in to be honest and "natty" are the dishonest ones and being natty at an elite level OF ANY SPORT is a rare thing.

WADA should never have been created. They ought to legalize steroid use for certain organizations in order to level the playing field. Have designated natty orgs for those too ignorant and stuck up to try some PED's.

Natural or not, once you get hugggge, people are not gonna believe you that your natural.

Yeah that's true too. But it helps to have done a cycle or two to know what synthetic androgens do from a physiological perspective.

Hardness, fullness and most importantly, rounded muscle bellies being the most notable marks of supraphysiological androgen levels.

I had to have the talk with a couple youngins the other night at the gym. They asked me if I thought the owner of a local strength training facility was on roids. I had to explain that he is, they all are at that level, and just because he uses doesn't mean he doesn't work harder than you.

The guy competes in 308, isn't a disgusting fatass, and totals 2,700lbs in multiply gear. I've watched him incline press 405x10 raw like it was nothing. You don't get there "just by taking steroids".

WTF brah thats total bs. the only reason the guys able to work harder is because he's getting the energy, motivation and results from the juice. Bragging about working hard on roids is like bragging about getting a boner on viagra.

That's almost correct. Except that most roids don't give energy, they take it away.

And that roids contribute NONE to a clean diet. Lol, and since diet dictates the majority of one's success, it is still safe to say that there is no quick way to getting huge. Even with gear.

Have u taken any roids? I kinda feel like u r always bashing the non-natty guys. Make sure u actually have authority on the subject if u want to convince others of ur perspective.

Now, u weren't totally wrong in that statement though. Motivation, strength and stamina as it pertains to the gym performance is definitely an attribute of steroids.

However, the biggest reason to take steroids is not mentioned - muscular feedback. On gear, u can tell what's going on with the muscles, when they r anabolic vs. catabolic and especially mind/muscle connection - which leads to better gains in the long run. Roids allow u to more effectively target muscles correctly during training which in turn allows u to reduce the weight and reps, create greater pumps and reduce injuries.

There are serious misconceptions about steroids doing all of the work. The give an edge to a gifted and dedicated athlete. That's about it. To the undedicated, unmotivated and ignorant athlete, it does nothing for them outside of the cycle itself. No permanent or semi-permanent gains at all. Nothing to show for them.

Also, it's been a LONG time since I've met a roid user that bragged about his size. Fact is, (at least in my social circle) most guys on gear are quite humble about their success. Seriously. Go to a bodybuilding competition and talk to some of these guys. They r polite, helpful and modest about their acheivements. It's part of being a bodybuilder. The sport would never advance itself if they were pompous a-holes.

wtf

I am on a hrt regimen and I tell you what. If I didn't commit my life to god and havdon't thimany tragedies and losses occur in my life, I would be one cocky sob. I take in testosterone and sarms. I by no means am a natural bodybuilder. It does give you energy and greater sense of well-being and aggression. You may see these juiced up guys bring quiet and quite pleasant but, you don't know what their like to their family or in their everyday personal life. He may be really cool to you but, he may be a cocky sob toward someone who he particularly doesn't like. I don't believe that all steroid users are nice and humble. So, when a juiced up guy goes to the club with a super tight shirt showing off his body and smerking at the the other dudes who aren't genetically gifted as him, then I must be reading into something else. I guess that isn't nonverbal arrogance and body language. Sometimes you don't even have to say a word to show your not humble. Women and other people read into nonverbal cues too. If you take steroids, You will think your a demi god. Do not believe what anyone else tells you. If you don't believe me, get a hold of just 250 MG of testosterone cyponate and inject it once a week for 4 weeks and tell me you don't feel super confident.

This is also why I mentioned "at least in my social circle".

I live in the South so southern hospitality is expected here. Most folks around here are fair and straight forward at least in public.

I also don't go to clubs as there is nothing good in general about showing up to those either - steroids or not.

Of course steroids increase confidence. They do this by increasing dopamine activity. That however, is a short-lived effect of hormones. Eventually ur dopamine receptors get insensitive to that dosing and u must keep increasing the dose to get the right feeling again. Not something anyone wants to do.

Good point. I agree with your statement about the dopamine release. That is physiology 101 and no one can argue against that. You and your friends are but a small percentage of individuals that have probably a good sense of morality and quite laid back naturally which the steroids do not affeCT your attitude and the way you view the world. However, there is that percentage of folks who use and abuse steroids that have made life terrible for other people and themselves i.e craig titus.
I am not a competitive bodybuilder now but I use to compete in natural shows. But because I have put on the posing trunks several times in my past and flexed and posed in front of people who were subjectively viewing my physique, I will always consider myself a bodybuilder. I have just retired from competing-that's all. And I don't go to clubs either because all i am asking for is trouble.

I wasn't saying he works harder than YOU - I was telling these fairweather gymbros that he works harder than them. I've watched him train, and I understand the years of consistently beating his own ass in the gym, week in and week out that he spent to get where he is. He's the one competing on the international level, the one sponsored by EliteFTS and the one setting records. And all the guys he's competing against are using gear as well, so I'm not sure how I see that he's getting any kind of special advantage.

I can't speak for your work ethic, or anyone else on here other than myself or those I know personally. And it's pretty immature of you to immediately interpret my story as such, instead of re-reading it once more before you call me out on some objective semantic bs argument over nothing.

I understand what you mean but steroids do a lot more then give you an edge when it comes to bodybuilding. They are everything. You CAN NOT be competitive in professional bodybuilding without them period. Thats just a fact

Sorry I didn't realize you knew the guy personally

Oh I agree. But I also know that u can't be competitive without a disciplined diet and routine.

The reason I KNOW steroids are talked up too much is because I have had FAR more gear in my system in the past and was in far less impressive shape then too. I also know that u can run tons and tons of gear and never get lean and never get competition ready. This directly suggests that regardless of using steroids, TUT and consistency still play the key role to results. Until u hit pro status, being "Conditioned" as the judges call it (aka lean) matters more than anything else on stage. Steroids do very little to get u lean. They do tons to help u retain lean mass and indirectly contribute to even growing mass but never actually partaking in direct fat burning or direct muscle building.

This obviously doesn't apply to GH use though as it has direct pathways to both fat burning and muscle growth.

I say all this because whether u care to acknowledge it or not, steroids cannot make a bodybuilder all alone. They r not everything because alone they do not produce comp ready results without other things first being in place. Eating 6-8 fat-burning meals a day and weight- training everyday with healthy portions of cardio are what allow steroids to really shine. Thing is, the steroid-user must do the EXACT same dang thing that a natty guys does to get lean but his results on PED's r simply more exaggerated. Hence, "performance-enhancing" drug.

I don't think much changes at all from natty to PED's. Natty guys try so hard to differentiate themselves from the way gear users make progress but honestly it's not different at all. It's just that natty guys are at about a 2-4 times slower pace than PED's users and with a nuch, much lower ceiling for ur potential. You're hormonal makeup will peak and begin to decline before u ever make it to that steroid-like size. But did the roids-users work less hard? Heck no!

Other times, it's not the pace of gains made as much as it is the ability to stay lean in the process. Running GH or GHS peps will keep u relatively lean while allowing absurd amounts of carbs to gain weight. This same approach to eating is used by natty guys but instead of sitting at 12% at the end of their bulk, they end up around 18-20%. Think about it man. We do the same things it's just PED's exaggerates the results. The rules f physiology and metabolism don't change when u take gear. They r simply amplified.

If the human body was capable of staying in a "hormonal peak" all the way thru our 50's and 60's, I'm certain some people could accomplish similar feats of size, strength and growth in a natty state as the steroid-users do in a relatively shorter period. To finish up, I'm saying that no natty person has authority or the right to say that using PED's is a matter of work-ethic. For most of us it is not. It is simply necessary to compete. That is all. We do the same things. We train hard, heavy and frequent, even when we don't want to do it and we eat those stupid bland meals of chicken, rice, potatoes, oatmeal, egg whites and fish on the regular. For many of ua, we also do ALOT of cardio to get ripped.

Now what ISNT fair is genetics! That's the most unfair, biasing aspect of all physical sports - the fact that some can do what others cant...and this is something they didn't earn! They were BORN this way. How is THAT fair?!?! At least steroids help level the playing field and gives those average genetics a chance to compete. A good example? Branch Warren...
