Nice job on the PR!!! You got some good weight on that bar!!

365?! Way to go beast!!!

Great PR Beast.

365x4?... 4 plates is all yours!

You got 405 in the bag man! Just load up the wheels and do it ;)

I hit 365x6, 6, & 5 last night (wrapless, obv) and I can squat into the low 4s right now I'm sure, easily. My training max is set at 455 right now. 405 is most certainly open to you any time you want it. Just do minimal, smart progressions, take a long rest, crank your knee wraps, jam out to heavy stuff and hit some ammonia. Easy as pie, no doubt.

Barx5-10, 135x5, 225x5, 275x1, 315x1, 365x1, 405x1. 6 sets preceeding the attempt is all you need to prime the cns. Keep some pants on over your shorts til 405 since the warmup is so minimal, but this would be a competition style warmup for a lot of guys. Wrap for 365, but not 315.

Belted only on mine. :-D

That's what I'm getting at. You know the wraps will be good for 30lbs at least, and btw we've still got 3 reps to trade in for more weight. It's in the bag, brother.

maybe i'll give it a run in a week or two

Do it! Then use the PAP (post-activation potentiation) from handling a larger weight than your working weight to increase the number of reps you can do at your given work weight. Basically, once you smash 405 and rest for several minutes, 345 is gonna feel lighter than it ever has, and you can knock a couple great sets out after that and then just breeze on into the rest of the routine (probably on the lighter side). Back-off sets are where the gainz are made!

That sounds pretty sweet. Almost like a widowmaker but less puke!

Read about the study (done on parallel backsquats) in a Muscular Development a long time ago. Paul Carter calls them "Over-warmups" and uses them extensively, especially in hypertrophy work. But the science really goes back to something we've all known for a long time, but never thought about - you can literally lift something more times if you've forced the CNS to see bigger weight immediately prior. Think how heavy 6 plates feels on legpress warming up, but once you've repped 10/side and you drop to 6/side following that it feels like babyweight.

I actually had more in the tank, BUT, I adopted another fur baby last night and wanted to get home. Nervous about my 10 hour shift tonight.

Sounds like an awesome workout. Nobody knows what ILS frequency is except for us lol

Post some pics of the puppin!

Lol fair enough. I hear ILS and I start thinking of a plane missing the runway in autoIII Landing not bodybuilding. Sad. I'm not a true meat head.
