Next PES Insider Deal???

Your missing my point! Taking antioxidants(multi) or fish oil around you workout is a no-no.
this is such a minuscule effect it's not even worth worrying about. If you think you're gonna miss out on gains by having any antioxidant in your system then you better just not eat anywhere near it either. Very silly

Maybe the multi wouldn't be super bad, but fish oil will directly hinder gains!

Lol make sure you be at within thirty minutes too bro!
anabolic window is starts closing as soon as you set the weight down... Everyone knows you have to have a shake within 47sec or you lose all gains forever. Might as well just trade gym for beer and cigs if you miss it once

I did it for PS4 Release
bought 2 of them
Sold them both around xmas time online
and made dobule the price
paid 425$ each for pre-order
and then sold them for around 800$ each

Winning?

That's classic lol staying up late drinking alphamine playing cod AW on PS4 crew lol

just like how you think in a bulking phase you should keep your carbs to minimum on off days :)
I know there is a study on fishoils in the pre/post -workout period to be avoided

:"PGF2alpha has been found to be critical in muscle growth, including protein synthesis. These results suggest that the lack of increase in PGF2alpha synthesis at three days of remobilization in fish oil might have notably contributed to the inhibition of muscle recovery at this time. These results imply that the PGF2alpha synthesis suppressed by the dietary fish oil at three days of remobilization might inhibit muscle recovery. PGF2alpha, derived by COX-2, cannot be formed from DHA or EPA, but is formed from arachidonic acid (AA; a predominant n-6 fatty acid), whose release amount from the cellular membrane is determined by its content in cell membrane. This fact suggests that arachidonic acid levels in the muscle membrane lowered by chronic dietary fish oil intake can reduce the production of PGF2alpha in skeletal muscle."

Basically ---> " Training is inflammatory, and believe it or not, we WANT inflammation as that is part of the mechanism behind cuing repair. As fish oil is anti-inflammatory, we do not want to dose it immediately pre or post workout."

Thanks! Good to know. No big deal to move the fish oil to lunch... I also noticed they said, "CHRONIC use do dietary fish oil..."; what's considered "chronic"? Sometimes studies using rats, etc use dosing so large that to get an equivalent dose you'd have to drink (ie) 1/2 gallon of fish oil a day to expect the same result. (I'm not arguing here, just curious)

I would say chronic would be an excessive dose but not 100% Sure. 2-3g of EPA/DHA should be plenty a day

I think these studies sometimes take things to the extreme. I mean, if we,are going to be strict about it, we shouldn't take HV around a workout because it has the antioxidant vitamin C in it...

Wow! I just got my Blue Frost HV and guess what was in the package!?!

A SWEET PES T-SHIRT! Needless to say, that just made my day! Thanks, PES!!!

The dose makes the difference. The vitamin C isn't dosed very high and is there for the effects it has with the nitrates.

While I also generally don't think people need to over stress certain things too much I still would avoid anti inflammatories and anti oxidants around the workout window as much as is easily feasible.

Also lucky you got a shirt. ;)

Agreed. Dosing anti inflammatory and antioxidant supplements away from training usually doesn't take much effort in most cases.

Got my shirt!

Yeah those shirts are sick. I just won one on insta :) btw happy Veterans Day to any vets out there. Thanks for your service. I know we have some itt.

Did shirts come in all of them? I'll be pumped lol if I get a shirt with my blue frost :).

I noticed when I ordered the insider said it would come with a free gift. I was thinking a cool sample or something, but the shirt rocks!

Why not just dose it with breakfast or a meal that isn't near your workout?

So, taking my second (first is with breakfast) dose of multivitamin, fish oil and meriva curcumin with dinner (and about 2 hours before my workout) is a bad idea? Dang. Wish I'd known about this earlier. Live and learn.

I work out at 6am. So I'll take them at lunch and dinner. I just don't like taking b vitamins at dinner cuz they sometimes keep me up. I'll just pop a melatonin too.

My invoice said free gift but no shirt was in the box?

Did you get the blue frost flavor? I think that's the only flavor that got the shirt.

Sleep is so much more important then this excessive worry about vitamins around your workout. Just take them all at lunch or even with breakfast. It's not gonna make any noticeable diff unless you're a top level athlete or bber.

And the Lord knows I'm not that!

A lot of small things add up to huge things boone

I'll still take the later. I take orange triad, so I like to spread them out a bit so it doesn't seem like I'm pissing them all away.

this is a ridiculous statement. If you think that dosing your vitamins around workouts is gonna make you stay small then you're majoring in the minors. Find me one person before prob 2000 that even had this info... Sure didn't seem to hurt any of them.
Food>rest>training> everything else.

Love when I have a multi and my piss is bright yellow Bye bye nutrients
haha I love this as well. It's exciting seeing the fun colors.

Opti men had me like chartreuse. It was almost scary. Ecto-piss

Didn't say that gains will be completely lost, but dosing antioxidants around your workout has the potential for slowing your gains. Im not saying you will never gain muscle doing so, but im just saying it can slow gains. Look at ArA and fish oil; everybody knows the rule with that! It is the same concept. I

Ok. That'd be just scary. :scool:

I sure did. But no shirt

Taste

Blue Frost → Very similar to that of Amno IV, but this has a stronger bluberry overall taste. Literally like you went to a farm, picked up fresh blueberries, and then made your own compote at your house and drank it. Absolutely spot on flavoring.
Paradise Cooler -→ This was a bit different. It was kind of like a mango and an orange mixed together to make some kind of a tropical flavor. This was very unique; if you are a fan of something different to hit your taste buds this may be the flavor for you. I would have to say its hard to pin point exactly what it is but could be like a mango/pineapple/orange mixture. Very unique.

Mixability

I have never had one problem with PES and mixing their products the high volume continues to trend. If it was 8oz, 10oz, 12oz it made no different. The powder was starting to dissolve upon touching the water which is always a very positive sign.

Formula

This is where High Volume shines. A very large dose of Citrulline which aids in lactic acid build up during training and also helps increase pump

Arginine Nitrate which is a nitrate that helps reduce nitrate build up / intolerance. Not to mention nitrates are king of pumps!
Agmatine is also a great agent building for pumps, which can also aid nutrient portioning (kind of like a GDA) so it's a double edge sword that is beneficial. Not to mention it has shown an increase in LBM and decrase in bodyfat.
Glycerol is another huge pump agent that is very common in the market , again stacked with Cit Mal + Nitrates = a serious mixture of pump. It helps draw water into the cells to aid cell volume and enhance Nitric Oxide release.
AmentoMax or Amentoflavone can be 20x more effective than caffeine for calcium release and aid as a strength maxamizer. It helps improve bloodflow and alertness.

Cost

Insider was 20$ for 18 servings. But in reality it is dosed to well you may not even need 2 full servings to get the true benefits of the product. Especially if you are going to stack HV with another pump product on the market that may overlap some ingredients to aid the pump found in stimulants. Overall a very good formula, a very well respected brand, and a great tasting product. PES continues to sell its products at a great price and give the consumers a great formula to boot!
