And ya, clinicals suck. My gf and sister both just finished theirs within the last year. They were basically MIA for the entire time and miserable when I did see them ha. Nothing like being broke and overworked.

This may be total bro science, but here goes......not hating on you boone; im just trying to help out! You eat all of this food daily and wonder why your gaining weight so fast! Maybe start making better food choices an save the candy oriented food for once or twice a week to fit them in! I mean seriously what successful bodybuilder gets most of their carb/fat intake from oreos, ice cream, ect! I mean 200 calories of poptart are going to effect your body different than 200 calories of brown rice, sweet potato, ect! Anyway, this is just my 2 cents, and im sure that many people will disagree with this! But from my experience, my food choices drastically effect body composition!

Yeah performance this week was eh. Gonna deload the next few days and starting next week I'll probably increase cals and carbs to 2,800, and 375C. That's at least what my coach hinted at

How many TOTAL rest days do you take? Maybe a few will do you good (2-3 in a row) for mental/physical relief if you just feel MEH and going through the motions.
 
Its not really a mental eh feeling. I take one full rest day and one day of weakpoint stuff, but only in there for 45-60 mins doing a "pump" training

I don't know what it is, could just be a little funk as I've had a lot of mine and been a bit stressed. Had off Wednesday so I'll see how I feel tomorrow and Sunday and go from theree

Perhaps take Monday and Sunday off, we shall see. Or eat more food!

And I'm motivated to workout just haven't hit my numbers (only 2 sessions. Not like its been happenig for awhile) and then I let it effect me. Instead of using it to motivate me it turns the rest into ****ty. Haha idk I'll be fine

Or a combo of both, but honestly listen to your body. that is the #1 thing most trainees do not do, and take enough rest.
Sometimes taking 3-4 days totally off does wonders to charge the batteries, get your motivation back, and let your joints/body rest/restore for a bit.
I took about 8-10 days totally off this summer when i was out in colorado, yellowstone, montana, idaho etc and just chilled with my fam, did some hiking, sight seeing, a few bike rides in the middle of no where in idaho, hiked to the top of the grand teton mountains etc.

I came back in the gym and felt 100x better, much more motivation, and my lifts started to sky rocket about 3-4 weeks back into progress. Joints felt 100x better too giving them some rest.
 
Yeah I'll probably do that then, I'll take off Sunday Monday and Wednesday coming up

Or perhaps scratch the weakpoint day and do 5 on 2 off or go to a rolling 3 on 1 off repeat split. Dunno I'll talk to my coach about it tomorrow
 
For me 1-2 rest days is fantastic, more than 2 days off in a row I dislike.

Don't know if its just a mental thing but I always feel off when I do hit the gym again. Out of my rhythm
 
I've read some guys just go HAM for 6-8 weeks then do what Bob said and take about 2-4 days straight off

Makes sense in theory. Many of the time we need to be reminded we grow outside, not insid . And letting myself and yourself heal, rest, recuperate = greater PRS and greater long term success
 
Off day from the gym but I'm playing in a weekend long deck hockey tournament. Hiit for days ;) should be a good time to see some of my old buddies when I used to play like every day.

Body is feeling really nice, albeit a bit sore so it'll be good to take a day off the weights and just get some stretching and cardio to loosen me up. Depending how far we go in the playoffs will depend when/if I lift tomorrow.

Hockey is pretty boring i agree with you, but nothing is worse than baseball. That is like watching paint dry.

I just like how hockey is nonstop action. Hardly any stoppages like football where there's like a min or two between every play.
