Doggcrap, myokem and ... a tyga?

Thanks bro. If I drop to maintenance and reduce carbs would you recommend increasing fats?

Yep. I kept all my carbs intra at about 100. I have a problem with controlling my eating post workout sometimes to it made it cut and dry with them all intra. So you could do pre/post and minimal on off days (before bed of lifting the next day).

My fats went from about 70/day to closer to 150/day when I switched over. 30gr @ 5 meals but none post (6 meals/day) used MCT oil preworkout.


-Ish? He's using RTS....so that's pretty much as powerlifting as it gets lol

Tuchsherer is such a beast; more or less goodmornings 605 for a set of 4 from below parallel. Does he still have the world's highest drug-tested deadlift? Guy is incredible.

When we were in Springfield there was a small child trapped in a car a women had accidentally locked her keys in. Tyga stepped up and actually tore a hole in the roof of the vehicle with his beard alone, and reached in to lift the child to safety. True story ;)

Side note. God is good.

We've constantly been blessed with minor things. And we've always been consistent with our tithes and have NEVER not tithed even when we knew money was sparse. As of this week I've gotten a $5k raise to my salary and the wife got a raise recently as well! Yesterday, my wife tells me our balance at our hospital was $600 (wife's medical junk), but it shows its paid off. Neither of us paid it, and no one in either of our immediate families did either. Again, a blessing in disguise!

Anyways, be easy! I won't be working out again until Monday. My Saturday session will get skipped because im in my buddies wedding.

That's encouraging about the blessings my friend. God's Word is littered with hints at how much He values a man that invests his earnings back into the Kingdom. I think of Malachi and the quote from Jesus saying, "then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and the things to God that are God's".

Yeah man! It's a 25lb increase with the same RPE from my last deficit pull.

That's massive. And that's a macho deficit! I just stand on 45's, and I more or less tuck & squat the weight up even then. Looks rather different from my floor pull, but I'm so strong off the floor I don't worry about it. I just use them to build quad & glute mass.

I use em for a variance from blocks and standards. Definitely can't hurt :)

I think the deficit measures at either 3 or 4" I don't remember. My homeboy measured it though.

I've got to start squatting my top sets and back offs without my knee sleeves.. Since we can't wear em in the comp :/

Unless they're BRAND NEW, they shouldn't be contributing to the lifts - only providing warmth and passive support to the tendons. Seriously, it should be a comfort thing - don't let it hold you back mentally.
 
That being said, I'm not maxing out without them - I value my knees, and if I were to blow them and knew there was something I could have done to keep them warmer/safer but I let my ego get in the way, I'd never forgive myself. Those ultra-raw guys can have it if they like.
 
They're definitely not new. After my warm up sets and wearing the sleeves for a good 10mins before hand, my knees should be good. Also, they're not allowed in the comp, I need to get comfortable squatting without them. It's been a few years since my ACL/MCL, meniscus and LCL surgery but I still tend to baby the knee for a good reason obviously.

I pay a big mean fat gal to beat me up. Once you go that route, you'll never go back to lacrosse ball mash. You will, however, be frequenting the dentist for a new set of dentures periodically. But you gotta pay to play, right?

I don't foam roll unless I get legit backpumps on cycle (just have no need too) but in that case a foamroller is useless - I use a big piece of PVC and it really seems to push the blood/water out of my lower back. Makes a big difference between sets, keeping the pump down.

Just figured it out one day when my back hurt SO bad during pulls. I realized my pumps were diminished if I kept my weight belt cinched tight during rest - the extra pressure was preventing my back from pumping as freely. Obv wearing the belt between sets is gonna be uncomfortable and limit breathing, so it's much more effective overall to take it off and lay down on the PVC in a glute bridge til I'm ready for the next set.

Ok workout was crap tonight. I'll get into why..

1) my wife dumped boiling water on herself last night while draining my spaghetti noodles. Took her to the ER around 9pm left at midnight. Didn't fall asleep until 1am. Wife got 2nd degree burns, borderline 3rd degree.
2) had to wake up at 6am to eat and get ready for work. Was on the road all day and went into train tonight an hr past my normal time. Mind wasn't in it tonight.
3) medial delt on my right shoulder was strained during my board presses. For some reason I lost tightness on my 2nd rep.

RTS four rep week for comp movement, accessory 3 reps
Body weight 144.6

Comp dead
345x4@9 (5lb add @ same RPE and rep count) slight improvement. If I could have nailed my cues it should have been a 10-15lb increase. Next time :)

*terrible day with cues. Mentally I came into the gym unmotivated and honestly not even wanting to be there. Right then I shoulda called it a wrap, and bounced. But, hardheadedness wouldn't let me.
