NMDA or Daa?

600 mg caffeine is absurd. I'm sure some folks can go that high, but they're stimmed out and ultra tolerant. 100-150 mg is all I need to get my system engaged. I can tolerate 200, but anything over that makes me feel horrible.

I think the study showed that 600 was the max effective dose, not that less wouldn't work but that 600 was better
Off topic but there was a recent study published showing consumption of 600 mg did not have any negative effects in the test subjects...

I wasn't saying it would, maybe I just worded my response wrong

5mg per kg was the studied dosage. So the effects of caffeine are actually dose dependent based on weight.

Damn, I've been leaving gains on the table for years! :p. Never had over 250mg of straight caffeine at once.

Ok so I cant find an internet version of it but I have a book on athletes and supps , it states here that 600mg is an optimal dose for most male athletes but dehydration occurs at this dose

No need, you're right, I'm pretty sure I've seen that study as well. You don't need 600 mg of caffeine to get a boost.

Yeah and I find that when I use it only on days when I train back , legs and chest and take the rest of them of , I only need 400mg to get realy pumpd and I dnt fel sick and ****

I've experimented with as high as a gram of caffeine preworkout.

As someone who is not caffeine naive, I didn't find it unbearably/uncomfortably bad, I normally have 400-500mg preworkout for perspective.

I think people in general overestimate the side effects of high dose caffeine, but, individual tolerance varies I suppose.

That said, it didn't really seem to have much of a positive effect on my workout (I was mainly looking for the power output benefits shown in some of the really high dose caffeine studies) so I didn't keep doing it.

Same here. 400 gets me going and 600 is like rocket fuel.

If paired with theanine then sides are more tolerable.

Personally, I go with 500mg caff, 1 gram theanine, 2.25 grams tyrosine and 50 grams of a carb source pre workout. It's very effective.

200-400mgs is perfect for me. I usually have 200mgs in the morning and another 100-200mgs prior to training. I've done the 1000mgs pre workout and I had to put my heart back in my chest..

Yes 400mg of caf with bcaa's , glycocarn ,citruline malate , carnatine and 20g of vitargo is my go to pre ,, sometimes sme l-glutamine and beta-alanine are good to
