proper rest periods are the little known ingredient to continued and sustained growth ;)

a de-load every once in awhile is not a bad thing as well..

You still lifted impressive weights.
 
Tomorrow is a planned rest day. Lol
May skip Friday(BACK day) and then do legs Saturday. All comes down to how I feel. Could just be my work schedule. Pretty much 60hr weeks the last 2 weeks. Out of G8 too.

On the flip side, I'll probably get good rest tonight and be angry it's a rest day when I get up in the morning! lol

Oh, forgot to mention about my wife. As I said before her leg and foot swells up after physical Therapy. She'd had enough and went to see a podiatrist yesterday. She came home with a soft cast. She has a fracture. The doc wasn't real happy with them at the PT center pushing her even though they new it would swell.

Wow... sorry to hear. At least it is being dealt with correctly now.

Wow Turff!! That's horrible that the pt would do that to her and pay no attention! So glad she went to the dr and he took care of her!

Really is unreal that they kept telling her she needed to move it more to work the swelling out! Of course I told her that isn't normal. Swelling isn't a by product of doing PT. Makes me mad to even think about it.

There are some bad eggs out there. I ha to go for a wrist injury to prevent losing all my ROM, and the dude did was sit there flirting. I did all the work myself at home twisting light DBs and stretching my palm.
 
Day 69 - BACK

Yesterday was a great rest day. A little cardio at 5am and a lite workday at work.felt good this morning but decided to play smart(in my eyes anyway lol). So I did light heavy. Did not push and kept the weights one set off what I normally do and in turn didn't do my failure set. It felt good and didn't strain the CNS.

Not sure I could. I'm usually sucking some serious O2 after each set. lol

I am way too winded after either to super set them. Would be fun though.

Was a good morning. Nice and cool outside for once and no rain.

Started feeling it in my right hip. Probably went to low on one of those last reps.

I normally don't do front squats on leg day and now I know why. My abs were taxed by all the others. I could've done 185 but didn't want to push it. Abs were really feeling the 135. I usually do them on arms day as a 2 a day(arms morning, front squats evening). All in all a great workout. Sweating profusely and sucking a lot of O2! Can't ask for more than that.
 
Heavy hacks and extensions, Turff. Knocked out quite a bit of volume.

Thanks. I can't complain since my weight right now is at 187. I've quit dropping weight, now just gotta put it back on. Not a fan of Mass Gainer shakes but may have to do that to increase my cals. Not sure I could plug any more clean food in me. I'm never hungry because I'm eating all the time(3500 cals). Lol I need to get back to 200 so I can push heavier. I still don't think I've lost any strength and if I have it's very minimal. I do feel it in my joints more though. They tend to ache for a short time after I hit my failure sets.
Good thing is PCT is done and I've been planning my next course of action...

From your log, I would say your strength is consistently on the increase.

I too feel my joints from time to time after my lifts when I dig deep..

..any clues to this next course of action?
 
Agree with Simon. Your strength is incredible. Do you do bloodwork after cycles?

I tried really hard not to go too heavy today. And decided not to do any DB pressing.

I took longer rest today between sets. Probably in the 90-120 second range. Was spotting a guy on some forced reps to help him out.

Next week I plan on dropping the HS and just do DB's

Good chest training ..... its hard to keep yourself from going heavy when you're feeling it. I know how it feels. Had to go lighter and avoid barbell bench for the past couple weeks .... nursing some sore shoulders.
 
Whoops, I benched 500! Silly me! Lol. Very nice lifting!

Felt good today! My sups came in yesterday so good to go on Muscle Fiber and had a good night sleep thanks to G8! Gotta love FINAFLEX products!

Decided to superset some things today:

EZ Curl with V-Bar press downs

I haven't supersetted in awhile. Arms were Swole today from it! Surprised I was able to go as heavy as I did Supersetting these. I may do this routine for a few weeks on arms. The 130 on vbar felt pretty easy which is close to a pr. Probably is considering it was with a superset.

Nice arm thrashing session

I'm lovin G8 also .... FINAFLEX hit it outa the park with this one. Got mine Saturday and have had the best 3 nights of sleep of my life .... ;) Feeling good again
