I only pray that in 20 yrs I'll be able to put in the work like you do in the gym..

I want to be like the other guy myself, so your not the only one..

Tropical thunder, I watched Escape Plan last night, those old guys are still rocking it..

Always killing it Turff!!! Incline Rev ez curls sound nice! I'm not a huge fan of rev curls! Lol

Doesn't look like I'll get my evening workout in. Still at work and looks like I'll be here another hour. Geez!

That's Ok! Your morning workout was fantastic! Strong Turff!

Well, I made it home in time to knock out 5 sets of Front squats
3 sets 135
2 sets 185

Got too dark to do anything else(outside at home) and it's humid as heck. Maybe I can work the Sumo deadlifts in tomorrow.

Your home weights are outside? covered?

Not covered. It's an old power rack and about 600lbs of old weider and York weights. Have them out by the pool on the deck. The bench and old dumbbells(Yorks) are on the porch along with another 130lbs of plates for the EZ curl bars.

Hellacious front squats! Did you count the weight of the additional rust on those plates? Jk

Love the determination to get some in even though you got home late!!!! No excuses for you!

Thanks guys/gals. Finished the workout last night, ate dinner, showered, and straight to bed.

Day 60 - SHOULDERS

0430 came early this morning. But, had a good shoulder day.

HS OHP
90, 180, 230, 240, 220, 200, 180, 90
The 240 was only 5 reps. 230 was 8 reps, everything else 10 reps

Side laterals. These I bring my arms up to horizontal with palms down. Hold for a couple seconds and then arms down to vertical, and immediately back up.
20, 25, 30, 35 all at 12 reps

Front laterals done the same as sides
20, 25, 30, 35 all at 12 reps

Rear delt destroyers on incline bench
20, 25, 35, 40, 45 these I do not pause with arms in horizontal position

Upright rows
70, 80, 90, 100

Now to work my Sumo deads in tonight!

String delts Turff.

240 for ONLY 5? That's insane.

I'll have to see where I'm at on behind the neck military press(at home) one day. Last time I did those I maxed out at 165. Those really stress the delts though. The HS OHP goes out and up. Plus the bench back isn straight up and down. Ergonomically it's real fluid and smooth and I've not felt the tweak/pinch in the shoulder like a vertical bench OHP with a BB.

MIssed this... sounds like a pretty sweet set up by the pool.

I think he just called your delts stringy

nice # for the military press -- BB I assume, yes?
a lot of guys have that issue with those stressing the delts, fortunately I am not one of them, is one of my strongest lifts..
but I'm an old-school free-weight guy, trained for yrs with majority free weights (and a few cable exercises here & there)...these new machines and whatnot they have down at the gym I go to now, yeah some of them are pretty cool, get some new movement and action going on - that OHP machine tho, hmmm not a fan personally, would rather stick to free weights here

Yeah, BB. One reason I need to do them again, see how my #'s compare. With my neck fusions I can't do BB press in front of my head. Just can't maneuver my head neck in the right position.
I'll do some Military presses Saturday and see where I'm at. Hopefully 200-210.

I agree with Thomas 240 for 5 is insane!!! Awesome job Turff!!!

Nice!! I'd still say your showing me up!

Day 60 - evening session

Sumo Deadlifts
Sets
135 x 12
135 x 12
185 x 8
185 x 8
225 x 8
225 x 8
275 x 6
295 x 1

Oh well couldn't hit my 310. I'm feeling like I'm a little week on these. Also I think I get hesitant on the heavier weight due to my back. I gotta work on these. Shoot, my hack squat is much heavier.

And you say I'm the "stud"! Freakin strong lifting! Two-a-days on top of that!

I am impressed! Lifts look strong to me!!

You guys are both wrong.

Could've sworn I said Stud Muffin...

Today is a rest day. Some cardio and a quick ab session tonight only.

Didn't have time to run home for lunch so went to subway. Hadn't eaten at one in over a year. Double meat sweet onion chicken on flatbread wasn't too bad. The girl wouldn't do triple meat...said she couldn't fold it! lol

Haha that's funny! Should've told her you were going for the "flat-bread" approach! ;)

That was verbal, and I no longer record our convos.

Slap another flat bread on top! Viola!

that would put it into my range for calories/carbs...as well as bumping up cost to $17-18 range (assuming we're talking 12" here) :D prolly not an economically viable solution
Only thing close to the site I was working on so $17 would've been ok for today only. lol
Is there one shorter than 12"...lol

Day 62 - BACK

Didn't sleep well last night. Ran out of G8 a couple nights ago and didn't want to take an ambien.

One Arm Bb rows
70, 90, 115, 125 8 reps each arm per set

Meadows Rows
70, 90, 115, 125 8 reps each arm per set

HS ISO lateral rows palms facing each other
180, 230, 270, 320 10 reps each strict form on all except 320. Started having to bring chest off of pad on 320. Then did one arm isolation alternating with the 320(160 each side) for 2 sets at 12 reps each arm.

One arm DB rows
90, 100, 110, 120 10 reps each arm alternating.

Shrugs
180, 230, 270, 360, 270, 180 12 reps each 3 sec hold each rep.

Felt great. And felt like I had enough energy even with lack of sleep.

Tell me you're 30! Inspirational workout right there! (I say struggling to talk myself into set 10 of my rows and cussing my sore shoulders!!)

Thanks man. I'm just trying to catch up with Thomas...
What was surprising to me was how light the 100lb DB felt today on the DB rows. If I could do a different exercise between the one arm bb rows and the meadows rows I could probably increase the weight a little. But it's set up inside the power rack and if you give it up someone else moves in. I get there just early enough to be the first one to the rack.

Definitely killed it today despite the lack of sleep!! Very strong as always Turff!!

Rack-thieves...

Your Bb row are more powerful than mine for sure. I have to use straps on Meadows'.

I was also surprised how light DBs felt after several months of Meadows Rows.

Wish I could say I don't use straps. I use VersaGrips. Not sure I could handle the 120's if I didn't use them. My grip would give out on them after a couple reps!

Yeah, I only get a few over a hundred before either my grip gives or that little spindle on the end turns.

Day 63 - LEGS

I was going to switch up and do chest but legs felt good and I could still feel tightness in my upper back from the row-a-thon yesterday.

Hack Squats
90x15
180x15
180x15
270x15
270x12
360x 10
360 x 5 failed on 6, went to deep

Here's where I thought for a moment it was going to be a bad day. I refocused and the rest of the workout was great but brutal!

Leg press
180 x 15
270 x 15
360 x 15
450 x 10
540 x 8
From here only rest was removing the plates
540 x 6
450 x 8
360 x 8
270 x 8
180 x 8
Oh my gosh my legs were burning, HR was pegging, and I was sweating buckets.

Leg extensions
120 x 12
150 x 12
180 x 10
195 x 8
Quads were friggin fried

Seated leg curls
120 x 12
150 x 10
180 x 10
195 x 6

Thought I was going to have to low crawl dragging my legs to leave the gym.

I'm at 3400-3500 cals a day and am still losing a little weight. Honestly I've never had this problem. Before the cycle I weighed 190.6. And the end of cycle I weighed 200.0 This morning(3 weeks post cycle) I weighed at 187.5 but have not lost any strength.
I'll check my bf tomorrow morning and see if I can get some pics for comparison.

Wow! That is odd! Killer leg workout!! Glad you refocused and didn't let that one fail mess you up!
