Wasme's recomp journey....

Wicked, what happened to your log? Hope You and Dad are recovering.
I pulled it. Attorney advised against pics and too much info on things. This is going to be a tricky case and dont want to comprimise it in any way. I will start a new one tho. Maybe a recovery and back at it log. Everyday little steps, but going in the right direction. Thanks for the good words kenpo!
Thanks to all my AM fam for the support!

Glad the heat broke and gotta love when you finish a workout and can say great workout! What kind of machine you have in the garage for flies?

Oh, just throwing this in here: 2 young guys in the gym this morning were doing the 1000 rep arm day. There last 100 reps they were having to use the smallest weights they could find. I'd read the srticle(tnation) but that's just insane! They did it though. I had to commend and congratulate them. It only took them about 1.5 hours too.

Great workouts as always!! Love the look of those kayak rows!! Glad it cooled off for you too!!

It's cooler which means you'll have to double your normal workout in order to break a sweat! Was 58 F here today and it felt great.

What I'd give for 58. I'll be outside at work all week...

Love the spidercrawls! So many BW exercises that are a great addition to any wo.

Thanks man!

Cable fly maching, part of my smith rack which has dual pulleys .

That is quite something. I have that article bookmarked to read. I have a week left on my current meadows routine, perhaps I will give it a shot next week lol

So true, although I worked up a great sweat while running :)

Looks like another solid day in the Simon household! And, with a little 6k run just to get the blood flowing! Maybe you should add bands to those lying tricep extensions...lol bet it would give one helluva pump! Or a big bump on the forehead...

Yes the bands are b*tch on those for sure.

9/8/2014 Rest Day

Need this one. Feeling a little off today and lethargic.

Legs on tap for tomorrow.

After reactive pump ( last 5 workouts this week) I am going to give the 6 week Muscular Demolition program a go. I wont be able to get in all 6 weeks before heading to Myrtle Beach but will get a good feel for it none the less.

Enjoy your day off. Looking forward to being jealous of your routine next week.

the rumors are true then - simon actually DOES take days off!
I bet he either got up and ran or will run this evening and just not tell us...

I bet he either got up and ran or will run this evening and just not tell us...

I am actually pissed at myself for not going for a run this morning lol.

Debating legs after work, but I just dont have it in me to give 110% tonight...

Rest crazy fella!!!!! Lol A day or two here and there is good for you! May be hard mentally but your body is begging! You're always kicking butt!!

No rest for the wicked! SMHS!

lol thanks guys. Funny the guilt you feel when you don't get a workout it. Not too mention that extra time... hmmm what to do! lol Back at it in the morning..

Oh forgot to mention something. Got home today, and my FINAFLEX package was here. Promptly mixed a scoop of Muscle Fiber into some water and down the hatch... no taste, mixed perfectly with a quick shake.

Now I also cracked open the newly re-flavored Fruit Punch BCAA+SAA. I have to say, this stuff is just fantastic!

The Muscle Fiber will set you free!!!

Can't wait to try the revamped BCAA/SAA myself!

I'm eyeballing that flavor too.

I feel you on the feeling guilty part, and, it takes me forever to fall asleep on rest days.

Finaflex flavoring systems are the best IMO! I still love watermelon Ignite and I'll use it to flavor other supplements.

Started the morning off with a 5.5 km jog. Had a great pace and feel far more energized today. Leg session after work - should be a good one!

Strong squat #'s there! Great workout. 30 second rest will wind you quickly, that's impressive on leg day. I can't do 30 sec rest on leg day...

Holy Mackeral that's a killer leg workout! Question: you started with leg curls then squats, is this to fatigue the hammies first? That session would kill me!

Wow! They said it all!! Awesome leg workout!

I'm with you Thomas...just a little tiny run will do me in! Haha

I'm not simon, and by all means he can comment as he wishes here..
but there is something to be said for switching up the order of exercises, not only for change sake, but yes to focus on and hit the opening bodyparts/exercises harder for addtl growth
this doesn't mean just doing hams first, then quads, then saving calves for the end (as most ppl do), but also would include blasting the calves first, then following with bodypart order you see fit..
I am huge proponent of switching these parts up, since I most always do legs all in one training session
so the first leg session of the week, I may do standard quad/ham/calf format; then, second leg day of the week, maybe I do hams/quads/calves
following week, maybe I do calves, hams, quads last....and the next session that week I go back to standard quad/ham/calf format

this is just one way to do it - if you are "specializing", maybe you hit calves or quads (whatever you are focused on specializing) first for every leg session, for 4-6 weeks, then change up the order

lots of ways to go, but yes I notice most guys employ quads first invariably in the leg training format
try switching things up!

On the Meadows routine, as far back as I can remember, he has us hit the hams first. Sometimes it's just a pump warmup, and sometimes he wants them blasted and useless so as to hit the quads more for the rest of the routine.

Yup!

Fantastic leg workout man. Strong all around

Thanks Joh

I was huffing, puffing and sweating like a ba$tard

Thomas has this covered. Meadows always does this.

Really like when Steve shares his knowledge. When not on a Meadows routine, I would do something along the lines of what Steve does. Thanks for sharing!

Exactly. In week 1.5 of Reactive Pump there is actually no squats and he blasts the hams. " I occasionally like performing stiff leg deadlifts first when taking a break from squatting. That way you can take your hamstrings to an even deeper level of exhaustion before working quads"

9/10/2014

Morning started with a 5.5km run. Legs are pretty sore from last nights onslaught, pace was down and that first km was pretty tough - but did find my groove and felt good to get the legs moving again.

Chest / Shoulders up after work.

This is my training philosophy too. I've never seen it not work. You sometimes need to shock the system. If you do the same routine day in and day out, I think progress stops or comes to a crawl. By switch up you should always see an increase in reps or weight for at least one of the exercises in your routine.

Killer workout! I'm sure the chest was pumped after that. Strong #'s on cage presses to finish with after all that too!!

I think he is, and is selling the chapters as a monthly subscription.
Really? Do you have a link or do we contact the guru of muscle directly? Oh and Simon, you are still a FF Freak!
