TGR's Cheetos Chraining

Lol! Not feeling it?! Freakin beast! Strong rear delts moving 30 for 20 reps x4!

LOL. Thanks Mark. The only reason I didn't drop weight is because the DBs were on the other side of the gym.

For someone not feeling it that was a pretty good workout! 60 on hex presses AFTER the other lifts is friggin excellent!

Now as for not feeling it: what did you have for dinner last night? I've found certain foods the day before affect my lifts. Beef other than extra lean makes me sluggish, probably due to the extra fat and longer digestive time.

I agree with them! One heck of a workout to not be feeling it!

Thanks Turff. I just felt like I was going through the motions trying to match previous attempts instead of pushing for PRs.

I ate 6oz chicken, 1c black beans, a large carb balance wrap, sriracha, and 4 tbs sour cream.

The only thing out of the norm was sour cream, but I was just trying to hit my minimum goal of calories and I wasn't that hungry.

I agree with them! One heck of a workout to not be feeling it!

Thanks Kat!!

Days like this happen. But remember can't always hit PR's.. No biggie, look back at that workout later - the numbers are great. I mean, as Turff said 60's on Hex Press is impressive.

Your workouts are always insane!

Sleep day for me. Or an attempt, anyway. I'm volunteering for the high schools football game tonight and was hoping to get some extra sleep, and make up the arm day this weekend.

Your workouts are always insane!

Thanks Puccah! I don't think my volume is even close to yours though.

ARMS:

This week John said we could slow down instead of restarting the SS's after short breaks, but I've been doing 30-60s breaks since November of last year and it just keeps me in the zone.

CARDIO:

:30/:30 HIIT for 12 m at 7-8mph/3mph + 3 min cool down at 2.7mph.

Notes:

I finished up a tub of STIMUL8 with a full scoop. First time I've gone over 1/2 in about 4 weeks. At first I was like, oh hell...

On set two of push downs my mind was really in the zone though. I could feel my triceps filling with blood and squeezing my lats with each rep.

You could probably guess how sweaty I am right now...

Cardio got my HR consistently staying between 155-170.

I'm going to take a two week stim break. I'm contemplating dropping caffeinated coffee too. Something I haven't done in years.

Oh, our school was slaughtered last night 45-0. We are the only school in our division that doesn't recruit. Yet.

In!

What're your training goals at the moment?

Welcome, and thanks for joining!

To get bigger and stronger, of course.

I'm kinda playing with my metabolism right now and trying to increase it's output. Cals are currently at 2600/day, just shy of maintenance, and I'm adding in cardio to see where my sweet spot is. Ultimately I'd like to lean out the weight I put on earlier this year being out if the gym, but with increasing my calories.

I want 315 on bench before 2015, 400 on squats (365-375 now), and 420 on deads (400-ish?).

So far I'm anabolic free and want to stay that way as long as possible.

Nice. Who doesn't want to be lean? Haha

I'm eating just over maintenance myself. Looking to put on some size and see my numbers rise.

Natty as well, and will stay that way for the foreseeable future. The pressure is there to join the dark side in this lifting game, but I'm not there yet.

Do you have a specific program you're running or just kinda playing things by ear. I'm a big proponent of structured programming.

Agree on all fronts.

I am doing MountainDog Reactive Pump, week 1/2 of 1.3.

I just finished MD's Program 3 following a homemade GVT style WO.

I have seen amazing progress with MountainDog and will probably stick with it for some time. I might throw something in for a few weeks in between restarts just to change things up.

I almost bought chains today. Lowes only has them to 3/8" though $3.75/foot). I'm going to check a few tractor supply stores for 5/8 or 1/2 first.

Solid! Well good luck, looks like you've already got a nice following

Thanks L&S! There are some very knowledgable and motivational folks in here for sure. Having a log with support helps overall progress, IMO.

Thanks Kat!

They felt kinda like the cable extensions he had me do last week, but with more muscles involved. Wore the tris out quick.

Definitely doable goals! I like that you are willing to exhaust all 'natural' methods before testing some 'other products'.

Too bad about the ball game. Shame you have to play against other teams that recruit.

Waiting on a squat rack.

Do you really have to row off of a rack???

Lame! My gym only has one rack so I feel ya

We have three. It just irritates me when you're using it to hold a weight that can be left on the ground. I mean, you walk out of the rack for rows anyway.

PR machine! Nice lifting!

Alt least on the heavy compounds. I've gotten a lot of useful feedback in the short time I've been on here that has translated to more pounds on the bar.

I definitely need the help on bench. I'll video them tomorrow and post.

Looks like the man was on a mission with that workout. Huge volume for leg day! Some strong lifts/curls/pressing going on with those legs!

They said it all!! Wow!!! Absolutely on a mission for most PR's in 1 session!!! Way to go!!

Thanks Kat!

To be fair, I've only done banded squats a few time prior, so to some extent PR's are expected. However, they did feel much better today, and no joke the 315 flew up at first. I wonder if I could hit my 1RM WITH the banded resistance....

This is what I was wondering. The blues are 40lbs aren't they? 315x3 is a lot considering that would be 355x3 at the top, which is good for 355 straight weight at a single all day. Maybe 365 too. Your squat is strengthening!

They're listed as 25's, I believe. I might pick up another 30 or 40 today.

wow impressive work man. strong banded squats and congrats on that pr!

Thanks AT.

That's also why I did banded bench instead of reverse banded. The only cage was taken.

Strong pressing especially banded and 60 sec rests!!! Cable raises are very strong too!! Those feel crazy heavy!

Thanks y'all. It's funny you say that Kat. I was expecting more with them, but they did feel real heavy. They pumped my shoulders up real fast.

I bet so! The first time I did those- I loaded like 15 on there and couldn't move it! Lol

What a way to get Labor Day going! Taxing the chest even more than the IRS hits you up for! Great workout and strong lifts.
