PES Select protein .........ummmm say it ain't so

Stoked for this deal. Stocking up for sure.

Milk or vanilla almond milk hands down. This is coming from someone who thinks all vanilla based proteins taste better in milk though. Anything else just makes them watery and weird. It is better than most others in water though and definitely still drinkable

Normally I would agree with this, but the Select CnC does really well in water as long as you don't dilute it too much. However, using almond milk does take it over the top :)

Yeah it is definitely significantly better than any other vanilla or C&C I have tried in water. I just only put 4 ounces or so of water in it. Milk though just really makes the flavor shine and gives that extra creaminess. Especially since I only drink whole milk

Awesome mountain there my friend. Now, go mix one scoop of milk chocolate + 1/2 scoop of cookies and cream, add a dash of cinnamon in 2% milk and thank me later. You will have an orgasm in your mouth.

That is a thing of beauty my friend :).

Believe me Ben and I usually stay pretty busy forwarding the insiders to customers who didn't receive it. We always ask that everyone checks their spam folders before requesting the forward! :)

So I want to know who cashed in and how many of each flavor each got? I would have to go with 3 CnC, 2 SD and 1 choco personally.

Well sheesh, I bet milk chocolate feels left out. Gotta go 2,2,2!

One of each...if it gets here by Tuesday I am gonna try one of each and order more of my favorite!

Let us know man! Don't be afraid to try the Snickerdoodle + Milk Chocolate combo!

I typically add ~5g of leucine to 1 scoop of protein. I know that Select has PepForm and that PES probably won't disclose the amount, but should I to continue to add that to Select or am I covered with PepForm? Maybe a rep can help me out; about to cash in on that insider.

Looking forward to the feedback! I'm kind of addicted more to the CnC than anything. SD is better for mixing and adding to oats and etc though.

3 mc and 3 cnc. I got sd already and can't drink it by itself, but getting power cakes to mix

Nice score brother! Smart move stocking up with the max amount. Won't have to purchase protein for a long while now!

Adding 5g of leucine to a product which is already dense in Leucine and Protein content in general, may not be worth your time.

There was a study done that compared whey work leucine in several groups. The idea was to maximize MPS by hitting leucine threshold.

I'll blow through it! Just finished two chocolate tubs and am drinking sd tonight til I get my power cakes mix!

I feel ya on the overuse issue. I'm very guilty of blowing through tubs like hot cakes as well. Hence why I was so damn excited about these bigger tubs!

Yes but Solution's point was that Whey is already a rich source of Leucine. A single scoop should get you to the optimal leucine amount for MPS.

I too try to add it to meals that may not hit the optimal amount, and opt for higher leucine content BCAAs for between meals far apart, but it is likely just a waste to add extra leucine to a meal already reaching the desired amount, and the studies showed no benefit at all to exceeding it

Same here man. Sometimes I wonder if I'm mixing up shakes in my sleep.

As the Solution and Driven mentioned, I wouldn't worry about adding extra leucine to Select. The protein blend is already enhanced with pre-digested leucine peptides, which should allow both leucine blood levels and MPS to spike.

This.. I remember sitting in Layne's Seminar at the arnold this year, he only adds leucine or BCAA's to meals that are made up of incomplete protein to hit proper leucine threshold (Such as meals heavy in cheese) or eating oatmeal + BCAA as a pre-workout meal, something along those lines where trace protein is the primary source, not complete protein (Eggs, whey, chicken etc)

As these guys mentioned we added Leucine Peptides to ensure it maximizes MPS. No need for any additional. ;)

I just wanted to get in on the conversation even though it wasn't needed.

Made snickerdoodle pancakes today, unreal

Oh yum! I've been out of snicker doodle for a while but in the last few days I've made them with choco and CnC and I prefer the CnC of course.

The only store around me that carries Kodiak Cakes, according to their site is Target, but they did not have them when I went :(
