Honestly from experience, i wouldnt just eat whatever! Your going to blow up in fat gain, especially since you have been low carbing! Im telling you dude, you will not like the results if you just gorger everyday!

Not gorge but just not worry is more what I mean. I've had the unpleasant experience of a 10day gorge til I was sick at every meal and I went from the leanest I had ever been to skin hurting and gaining 20lb on two weeks. That won't happen again.

aye - coming out of contest prep/show and then gaining 20+lbs in less than 2 weeks -- and so much of it water, the joints and skin are just screaming because things are so bloated & tight....uggh

Ya my skin was literally in massive pan by about week 3. I was so bloated and miserable.

I have seen people up 30-40 in a matter of 2 weeks. it was not pretty when their ankles were swollen.

How long is the progress between those pics? From the start of your prep?
 
That's since I started with my coach. About 6.5 weeks and 7-8 lbs. Started around 11-12%, dunno where I'm at now. Got another week then vacation in Hawaii for two, then prob another 4-6 weeks to cut to 6%. Then reverse diet and a solid 12 month gain phase.

Man you're right about on the same schedule a me. We'll have to keep comparisons through the year and see who can get the most work done!

So, I'm scheduled to have my next refeed on Sunday which would leave me 4 full days (mon-thurs) to get back to baseline or below (exactly what it took last time so cutting it very close). Debating how I want to lay out the next week or so... I have a few options: A) same refeed (~500g carbs/3300kcal) as last time, back to current diet mon-thurs (assume this will have me back at baseline thurs morn) B) smaller refeed, back to current diet mon-thurs C) same refeed, PSMF mon-thurs (follow Lyle Mcdonald's Rapid Fat Loss Diet) D) larger refeed, PSMF mon-thurs E) No refeed, just stick to diet for the extra 5 days F) Go for broke - Small or no refeed, PSMF (This would be pretty crazy but might be epic results...) My only worry is that with option F, on vacation I would absolutely balloon out of control (not just weight wise, but fat gain wise). Keep in mind I plan on drinking throughout vacation so there is basically zero chance of fat burning. I will be lifting however so some of the excess calories will get put to use in what should be a fairly anabolic environment (as long as the booze isn't constant ha).

One more bump for opinions
 
My god I just tried my first 1/2 cnc 1/2 sd select shake and now I have a full blown proteirection. It might never go away. This is seriously the best thing I've ever tasted.

1 scoop CNC with 1/2 scoop sd is my favorite

Also recently tried 1 scoop chocolate with 1/2 scoop CnC. Amazed!
 
Well, I decided to go for a slightly milder refeed yesterday and I'll be doing a PSMF through the week and absolutely pounding water. Yesterday ended up at about 2800 kcals and exactly 400g carbs. Scale showed +11lb this morning haha. I know for a fact this is a ton of water as I made a point to drink about 2-3gal throughout the day. I was still having dry mouth but was so packed full I just couldn't stomach much more. Definitely look much fuller, but also feel a bit watery/soft in comparison to yesterday morning. Will be drinking 3gal of water the next few days to clear everything out.

Today is my last day of XI-KT. Overall I feel that it def took some time to show effects (say week 3+) and the bump to 1.5ml/day seemed to make a difference as well. This is definitely the leanest I've ever been so I have to say this contributed at least somewhat.

Finished up TT-33 over the weekend as well and cut out all yohimbine to prevent any excess water retention. Since I'm done with the XI-KT, I'm going to start my cannibal alpha log (sponsored) early and see what kind of libido boost I can get over vacation. The og plan was to start after but I've read such good things about the libido boost and can use it as part of my "pct" for the XI that I think it will help improve my time on vacation. I'll post up a link to the log when I get it up later for anyone interested.

Supps for this week will be pretty basic:
AM/Pre cardio - fitmax, EC, Cannibal Alpha
Mid Morn - EC
Pre workout - fitmax, EC, Cannibal Alpha
Pre Bed - Cannibal Alpha, AP (first day or two to help clear any glycogen)

Workouts will be higher rep depletion type split like this:
Mon - Legs
Tues - Back/Bi's
Wed - Chest/Tri's
Thurs - Shoulders

what i did for my contest pics is stop drinking water at around 7 PM, small sips afterwards. then wake up, have 2 poptarts for about 10g F, 75g CHO (40g sugar or something) and 5gP with salt sprinkled on. Also ate 1g of sodium straight to the face. still no water at this point. waited for thirty mins, and could feel my skin literally tightening and pumping up from the simple carbs and sodium. then did some push ups, jumping jacks, biceps band curls and boom was pumped, full, and skin was tight as fuark

Very nice. That's pretty similar to how I've done it in the past. Never kept water quite this long tho but it seems to be the better way to go as opposed to a 2-3 day slow back off. This time I'm gonna try the heavy water until the eve before and drop it completely like you said. I'm sure I'll have some junky foods too on the plane/way to the ship so that should fit perfectly

Be careful. I did really high sodium (like 7-8g) up until about 3 days out, then dropped it completely until the night before. That night I had a giant gravy and cheese covered meat thing from some bar restaurant we went to figuring the sodium would blow me up. Instead I spent the entire next day shiitting myself while trying to run a race. Had to stop and unload like 4 times in the middle of the woods. It was not pretty and ruined my entire 3 months of training ha.

Ha ya it was a rough day... I had a 3 year streak of crushing my buddies in our yearly race and was primed to do it again... Then shiit happened. repeatedly. They all thought it was hilarious
 
Apparently yesterday was my whoosh day... Dropped 7lb from morning to 8pm. Dried out a ton and I'm ready for the final stretch. Gonna do about 1.5-2 gal of water throughout the day and then stopping by around 5pm or so. Just small sips and such through the evening and tomorrow morn/early afternoon. I looked great this morning (albeit a bit small/flat) so I should be absolutely shredded, hard, dry, and pumped once I get a few carbs and some sodium in me tomorrow afternoon. Hoping those first few pics on the boat are knockouts!

I plan on doing a final weigh-in tomorrow morning before I leave and maybe snap a few pics for some before/after vacation reference ha. Should be a great time. Taking defuse, SSv2 and some EC for the trip to help mitigate fat gain. Also, the boat has an insanely nice gym on board (waaayyyy nicer then where I normally workout ha) so I'm def gonna get some workouts in and put all the good food to use! Should be anabolic as all hell when I add back in calories so I should get max benefit.
 
On another note, DO NOT get a boner while sleeping that rides up into your waistline and rubs on the spot where you put Evomuse eviscerate smolder... you will wake up with a burnt log hahahaha. #morningwoodproblems

Just had my little evening carb up with some frozen yogurt and misc toppings. Water was cut at about 5pm so I should be dry and tight tomorrow morning. Doesn't sound like I'll be able to get on during the cruise but hopefully my gf is just wrong about that. Either way it'll be a great time.

In our natural state we actually have MORE water inside our cells than outside our cells (subcutaneous water). It is when you screw with things that you start getting problems. People seem to have this notion that if they cut water, they will lose all their subcutaneous water.

There are a few problems with this: 1) You won’t just lose water from the subcutaneous area, you will also lose it out of the muscle tissue, and you will most likely lose MORE from the muscle than from the subcutaneous layer as the body will attempt to maintain the water balance between the inside & outside of the cell. 2) You will flatten yourself out big time. The only reason a carb load works is because the increased glycogen causes your cells to store more water. All you have really done is flatten yourself out, you haven’t changed the ratio of intracellular/extracellular water at all.


I know what you are thinking “but Layne, at my last show a judge said I needed to be drier” or “everyone tells me I just need to lose the water.” Well I’m not here to make you feel better about yourself, I’m here to help you do better at your next show. And the truth is that people are telling you that you are ‘holding water’ because they don’t want to hurt your feelings. The fact of the matter is that you weren’t ‘holding water’ you just weren’t lean enough. Period."

I've played with this before and had good results so sticking to what works for me. I've read his thoughts on it but in my experience it makes a big difference for me. I have a few carbs and I am dry as a bone a few hours later.
 
Weighed in at 154.1lb this morn and officially beat the scale... It wouldn't even register a body fat haha. My est is prob around 7-8%.

Looking totally diced and feeling great just a little tired. Should feel better when I eat in a bit. I'll post up some pics I snapped this morning for reference.

This is definitely the leanest I've ever been and I'm totally proud to say I lost 50lb the last 7 months. Now to just keep most of it off! My goal for the rest of the summer is to stay around 10% or so and keep my abs (at least reasonable). I'll keep this log going until I start bulking again in the fall.
