Newb with some questions

First off i have searched a couple different forums before i came to this one like T nation, etc and liked this one the best. I have searched about the product that i am using and PCT and feel like the guy i get my gear from is on the up and up and i can trust him but The more i read across the boards about PCT, cycling etc i just thought the hell with it, and i will post a newb thread and try and get some concrete anwers as i have seen a few different things.

I have been training almost 6 months now. I go 5 days a week, here is my breakdown.

Monday Chest and tris
Tuesday Back and bis
Wednesday Cardio and abs
Thursday shoulders
Friday Legs

Sat/sun rest

I was talked into getting into the gym from a friend and immidiately started to hit it hard. I weighed 162 and was out of shape. I trained about 2.5 months and dropped down to 149 (mostly lost stomach fat)

I then decided i wanted to start growing back and bulking up. At about 2.5 months in i started to use whey protein, casein protein, bcaa, preworkout etc

My diet is as follows
7am
1 cup oatmeal and 2 tbsp pb
1 cup greek yogurt
multivitamin
fish oil
horsechestnut pill for bloodflow to legs (poor circulation)

9 30am
1 slice whole grain bread
2 tbsp pb
25g protein shake

12pm
2 slices whole grain bread
3 slices deli chicken or turkey
1 slice deli cheese
1 cup 4% milkfat cottage cheese
fish oil

2 pm
21g protein bar

3 25 pm
preworkout

BCAA intra workout

50g whey protein shake post workout

7pm
2 tilapia filets with lemon pepper and virgin olive oil
1 baked sweet potato and a small salad
multivitamin
fish oil

Get at least a gallon of water a day

Before bed
50g casein protein with whole milk

I stay pretty true to my diet during the week, weekends arent as tight and i rarely drink

I am a hardgainer, and even though i researched really believe i should have tried more direct supplements like Creatine, before i began a cycle

My other friend who is a user for 6 years, and who i get my info/gear from is who got me thinking to go a little further

i did a cycle of BPI sports A HD, and then planned to just go off. He kind of put it that if i am having trouble getting mass, that i could consider the alternative. Looking back, i should have trained a couple years and waited to plateau but i didnt so here we are.

He has used a lot of dif gear. He likes sustanon 250 and says he had good results. He recommended i do a partial cycle to see the gains and since i was on test support A Hd, to maybe only go 4-6 weeks. I had seen many side effects of gyno, acne, teste shrinkage, cancer etc etc and decided if done right i would be legit. But the more i read the more i am not sure if his cycling methods are solid. I asked wether he would recommend clomid or nolvadex for PCT, as well as if there was something i should take intra that would decrease the chance of gyno. He says he has no problem cycling off clean in his years, and if anything bad happends to go to gnc and get test release pills. He recommended 1cc twice per week. I am on the third week of the cycle, and have had some results, no side effects that i am aware of yet. I just want to get a better idea if this dosage is ok, and if PCT is a must, what to do, etc.

Thinking now i really should have waited until i hit hard plateaus but i didnt. Im 27 years old, as another fact and just want to make sure i am doing this as properly as i can.

I am sure with more in depth searches i can find instances close to this one but i was hoping you gurus would formulate a response that is direct to my situation.

I was curious to try AS like you did before.

But i never took any. I figured was 23 years old, young and still full of test. Plus seemed kinda expensive.

So you're trying to gain mass?
And only 6 months in the gym, I personally don't think using AS right away is the solution. You can still gain mass by adding more calories, try +15% above TDEE during workout days and at maintenance during non workout days.

As for the program, have you tried strength programs like 5/3/1?
I'm a hard gainer myself and after years of experience, trial and error the best way for me to gain muscle was to hit them with heavy compound exercises at low reps.

I've also learned that diet is extremely important, it could make or break the physique you want.
 
OP- quit relying on your friend and do your own research. You should know this stuff. And the fact you think a natty test booster counts as a cycle shows your lack of basic research and knowledge. And if you've been training any amount of MONTHS you shouldn't even be considering this stuff. Really? 2 months and you want to run a cycle? You'll still be tiny I promise. You don't know how to train or diet yet so you will fail any cycle you run.
 
What everyone here is trying to tell you is that at 6 months in and at 5'8" 150lbs, you have a lot of room to grow naturally. You should consider an AS once you get to your genetic max threshold, otherwise you risk (1) losing gains made on cycle; (2) Injury, as your tendons, joints, and supportive muscles/tissue do not have the requsite tolerance to deal with the relatively rapid increase in size and strength.

Therefore, at this point in the game you would be wasting money, risking injury, and unecessarily taxing your body. Hope this helps.

Also OP, you don't just come off of AAS without a PCT.

That kind of **** can put you on TRT for life.
 
Thanks, guys, for helping the kid out and not just pissing him off. You guys have been an incredible help to me and I appreciate it. Just didn't want the noob to get pissed off and get a "I'll show them" attitude and screw himself up for life...
 
Everyone else commented on the AAS, so I'll comment on something else.

Get rid of all the damn whey you're drinking daily and buy yourself a 6lb package of 90/10 beef or 10lbs of chicken.

Do that and I bet you'll not only feel better, but you'll have no problem gaining some weight and adding some muscle mass.

You can get some real test cheaper than the $65 youre probably dropping per bottle of that horny goat weed crap. You say youre a hardgainer, i would usually recommend Anadrol or Halo but considering you haven't even been working out for a year, if youre really stuck on a "quick fix" and want to cycle why not just do a simple dbol/deca/test cycle? There are a million threads on that. Search around. As for PCT, you NEED it and it isn't that expensive. Some Clomid and Proviron would work great. If youre worried about gyno/sides, have some Nolvadex on hand. The best of luck to you.

As previously stated, pct is a MUST. Reading through a a handful of threads, every one of them talks about some type of pct after your cycle. Don't ignore it, you'll end up hurting your body in long run.
 
The thing with SERMS is this...

Why do you need one?

Your ingest hormones that alter cells in your body...

You have to have a REAL SERM (and yes you have to have a real one) because it is also hormones that change cells in your body to help get you back to normal.

This is why OTC SERMS are a ****ing joke.

You could only get real SERMS OTC BEFORE they banned stuff like Superdrol.

Technically you can't have a SERM unless it is in pill form from a doctor OR a liquid for "research on subjects (test mice and rats) only".
