Sexy looking legs there, Snags.

No training for this guy today. Been queasy all day and just not feeling right. Gonna rest up and hit it tomorrow.

Well some discouraging stuff these last four days. My colitis flared up again. This is probably why I was nauseas the other day and is definitely why I've been frequenting the bathroom so much.

Started my corticosteroid last night in hopes of getting back to normal ASAP. Energy is down since I'm only partially digesting my food and I'll be holding a bit of water the next couple weeks while the Entocort does it's thing. Not a good time for GI distress.

Oh man that sucks! I am sure you will get it squared away in time for the show and get that water off.

Simple leg day today. After adequate warm-up I did eight sets of Smith squats with bands and 240 lbs (no bar weight). Explosive concentric trying to mimic chain squats. Reps were in the 12-10 range with a ninth set of twenty with 140 lbs after the eight set.

Seated leg curls. Four sets of twelve with constant tension and a hold on contraction each rep.

Seated calf press fifteen sets of fifteen. Limited rest.

Hope that issue heals quickly Monte. Glad you can still get in and do work though.

Oh btw on the job front. Didn't get the position. Politics won in the end.

Did chest today.

I'm holding a ton of water right now...between my body being in shock from the flare up and starting the corticosteroid it's pretty apparent.

Here is a video though!

It's a shîtty feeling, big guy...I know. But if there's one thing I've learned about life (hopefully I've learned more than one) it's that you will end up right where you're meant to be. As long as you keep your eyes open for opportunity and go after it with all you've got...you'll get exactly what you want! When I got fired from my last job (because I started dating an employee add a manager...she's my wife now) I was looking all over for something worth while. I actually had to go back to a previous job because I was asked if I wanted it back and didn't have anything wise so I took it. A year later I got promoted and have been making more money than I thought I ever would. Just keep your head up bro...lift weights...and prevail!

I wonder how the homeless peeps would feel about that sense of destiny...

Some of the most highly spirited people I've met were homeless. I lived in Chicago for over 3 years...I got to know some of the homeless that hung on my block. They were always smiling, laughing, joking around...it's like they didn't know they were homeless. Or maybe they were just crazy. But it's about what you make of life. Hell they were probably happy because they had a place to sleep or a recent meal...things we take for granted are like the rays of the sun on a gloomy day. Fact of the matter is, things could always be worse. So the best thing you can do is appreciate what you've got but strive for what you can. You guys are no strangers to setting goals and meeting them with every determination your will can muster. People just have different goals.
