Here's to my first log

So daughter is gone to a friends lake house, hubby is working, and little man and I are hanging out together! I come in, from painting outdoor furniture, to fix him lunch. He told me he wanted a surprise! "Anything I wanted to make him!" Then 2 minutes later, he sees me starting and says..."oh, you're making that?...ummm will you make that..." Describing every detail exactly as he wanted it! This is what he wanted!...Oh, the joys of a silly 6 yr old boy! Lol He keeps me entertained!

Haha thanks girl! It's soy butter "sushi" with mixed berry preserves and topped with strawberries. (He's allergic to nuts)

He doesn't care though luckily! Lol...me too! It's so sweet! By the time they're teens, it's hopeless! You could spend $2000 on doing something and may get a glimpse of excitement somedays! Haha

Are you spending Mother's Day with your feet up in bed?

Pretty close! I just woke up from a 2 hour nap! We went to church this morning. Hubby and I are in the praise team. Then, they took me to lunch. Perfect day!! :D
 
What an amazing Mother's Day weekend! I am truly more blessed than words can describe!! My son proudly picked every beautiful weed flower he could find and placed them in a bucket on the table. Both kids made me cards and other sweet memorabilia. Hubby made me filet and zucchini for dinner too!! Man, am I a lucky gal!! God has been so good to me!!

Thank you all for thinking of me on Mother's Day as well! I am so thankful for you all!! :D

Well well, I was all pumped for my workout mentally today but my body didn't seem to agree! I feel weak today. Still push through and went up on some exercises I attempted pull-ups in my workout and it just didn't work. I'll keep trying and I'll keep doing them throughout the week to get better at them!

Lots of full stretch/squeezing throughout

Warm-up:
Wide Grip Pulldowns 70x12, 85x12
Pull-ups 8

Circuit:
Wide grip pulldowns 100x12, 120x6, 100x12x3
High cable rope row 35x15, 42.5x12, 50x12x2, 55x12
Seated cable row 100x12, 120x10x4 (attempted 140 but that was a no go! Lol)
Straight arm pulldown 35x12, 42.5x12x4

Underhand BB row 75x15, 85x12, 95x12

ISO row 70x12, 90x10, 100x8 (did 1 arm at a time so I could keep rolling)

ISO underhand high row 50x12, 55x10, 60x8

Biceps:
Superset
Concentration DB curls 25x12, 30x12, 35x8
Alternating DB curls 15x12, 20x12x2

Friend left so I stayed and did a few more :)

High cable rope rows 52.5x12, 57.5x12, 60x12
Superset with shoulder width push-ups with 10 sec hold at bottom 15 reps

Leg raises with rev crunch/sit ups 30

Overall I feel pretty good about how my workout turned out. Can't ask to get stronger in everything huh?! Lol

Going back at lunch for abs and cardio

I'd say that was a fine session...and 35lb concentrations is badass!

Lunch session was supposed to be abs and cardio but I felt like trying RDL's for the first time! :-O I know right?! Felt like a goober but I really like the way they hit everything!

Ab circuit: Weighted decline sit ups 10x25, 25x20x2 Oblique crunches w/ leg extended 20x3 Hanging pikes 20x3

Waiting on squat bar...
Leg Press (feet together with toe lift at top) 320x12, 410x10, 500x10, 590x8(shoulder width)

Weighted crunch machine 50x12
Pull-ups with hanging leg raises 12

RDL's 95x10x2, 115x8, 135x6, 155x4 - could have gone heavier but I want to make sure I get my form right first!
Front squats 65x10, 75x8 - I forget that I don't like the way they sit on my arms/slip down from sweat! Lol

LISS cardio 30 mins

Switching it up and going when the meat heads are at the gym tonight because hubby is leaving town today. I think my body needed the extra sleep. Not sure if I'm pushing too hard or if it's the Alpha T-2 but my thyroid levels are off again. Stupid Hashimotos! Lol Nutrition has been good but weight is no longer going down. Determined not to let it frustrate me this time though! Just gotta keep pushing and be patient!

Positive note: my whole back feels nice and sore! Workouts yesterday had some impact! Especially the deads! Yay! :)

So-so. Slightly sensitive to light, but we'll see how the day plays out. She said to take the Rx drops first thing in the morning, but she probably didn't mean 3:30 am. I'll see how they do and probably take tomorrow's dose when the sun starts coming up.

Haha yeah most people don't consider that morning quite yet! Glad they're slowly improving! Hopefully in a few days they'll be lots better! :)

Lol I have no clue how people train with the gym that full...The goal was to go in and just work on squats......but the two squat racks we have were full for the first 30 mins. I just had to make it up as I went along depending on what equipment I could find! Lol

Leg press #'s are amazing. Your quads 'read' very strong, but your hams look like power houses also.

SLDL's are impressive too.

You seem to put in great power on core/base work!
 
Good morning! Back to the 5am training! Free reign on the floor! Yay! My lower back is crazy crazy sore today!! Legs actually aren't very sore yet- might change by tomorrow though.

I have a hard time getting the 50's up so I asked for a spot. My sweet friend that has been training with me attempted to spot me but likes to just grab the full weight on one side which kills the other side! Lol I'm gonna have to get a guy to spot me so I can go heavier.

Chest/Tris/abs:

Incline bb bench 65x12, 75x8, 85x6
Cable rope crunches 42.5x15, 50x15x2

Flat DB bench 30x12, 40x8, 50x4

Skull crusher with press up 35x12, 40x8x2
Bench dips with feet up 45x8, 90x6, bw x15-failure

Sprints 26 mins- had to get home earlier- single mom for a few days! Lol

Wicked- I tried the bench dips off the end today and it actually bothered my shoulder- odd...might try them on a wider bench next time though!

Just have her spot with her hands on the points of both elbows when you ask for it.

That's what I told her but guess she didn't quite understand.
