Looking for a new whey protein. Any suggestions?

I use true nutrition custom blend. 60% Complete milk protein isolate, 25% CFM Whey Isolate, 15% whey hydrolyzed in dutch chocolate. Mixes extremely well, two scoops in less than 16 ounce water with a spoon and tastes good. I use isolate because concentrate gives me problems.

Not worth the outrageous prices for shipping.

Interesting def gonna try.

I like one scoop OEP Banana
1/8 C almond milk
1 egg
1/4 TSP baking powder.

Pam the inside of A bowl, add wet ingredients, dry next, then mix and microwave from 75-105 seconds. Mines gtg after 90 seconds at school but at home 70-75 seconds

You get a nice "mug cake" and I'll top mine with Walden farms spread or peanut butter

I just made this and it was AWESOME!!! I added Walden Farms Chocolate & Caramel sauce as a topping. The cake is a bit dry & the greek yogurt would be a good idea to moisten it...however I am lactose intolerant...any other suggestions? I thought about unsweetened apple sauce but I didn't know it it would change the flavor of the cake? Thank You for the great recipe!!!!

Works with apple sauce or pumpkin puree. Any moist puree really.

Pumpkin + a cinnamon powder is bomb.
Apple is fairly tasteless once mixed in just sweetens it

Some of my favorites are

Cellucor Cor Whey
SAN Titanium Whey
Universal Whey Pro
Controlled Labs Pronom
iForce Protean

They are all at a good price and have some of the better flavors. Most important, they do not contain fillers.

Last time I ordered from them the price for 5 pounds of protein shipped was around $22. $11 is still pretty damn expensive.

$22 is pretty expensive I agree. I'll check what their shipping costs next time I order and if they go up as the quantity goes up

Not to pile on but TN shipping prices is the reason I stopped buying from there. No matter what it seems to always be in the $23 range. No thanks

Just tested it out $68.45 for my mix, $9.39 shipping with a coupon code that was automatically added. So $77.84 total. Pretty expensive. Yes quality protein but still a lot of money to spend on protein powder.

Just simple answer will do. Looking for a new whey protein. Have tried many before, but just wanted some input from the rest of the people here. What is your favorite and MOST EFFECTIVE whey protein that you've taken. I usually just take NOW Whey Protein Isolate or Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard.

Invalid Link Removed Last a while and for me best tasting. Been hooked 3 straight yrs now. Wife puts it in my pancakes and just can't be beat.

Little late but I'm partial to combat by muscle pharm. tastes good and it has bcaa and is time released.

If you want muscle pharm combat go to Costco if there is one near you and you have a membership, it goes on a sale often for 5 pounds (not 4) for a little over $30. Good stuff for a good deal.

Eh that ok, we'll see how it goes. Why don't you like it? Beef protein, sounds pretty solid. And reviews are good.

This isnt something you can gauge if it's working. It is junk, regardless of what you experience.

type "musclemeds carnivor collagen" into google and click any of the links. You are literally consuming amino acids that have no effect on muscle mass

You mean to tell me the 23g of protein per serving has no effect on muscle mass? Please enlighten me. I'm honestly interested. I don't take protein shakes for anything more than protein, so i don't care what else they put in there like bcaas and such.

Can you please do what I said above? I'm fairly busy at the moment (I'm not up at 3 am on Saturday by choice) and threads have been made about this ad nauseum. Type those 3 words into google and hit enter

Hmm, it's kind of crazy how they can bs people like that. I guess I'll go for something else.

its not like that..what works for me not necessarily works for you
especially when you consider eating habits and workout routines

any way i mostly would recommend on organic protein, and if not
i would say Hexapro as well. tried it few for a long period- did good with my body

Hexapro has like 8g of added taurine/glycine. Between this and carnivor, apparently anything can make people feel like they're growing faster

Carnivore is arguably the worst protein money can buy...
lqtm
thank you (I wasn't gonna say anything, lest my head get a brick thrown at it for no reason once again..)

Very arguably, I can think of worse ones :D
like isopure? :D

all I know is, if you are one to get in such heated debate over which protein powder is "working the best", or your powder is a big mainstay portion of your dietary fare .........
then you tripping over pebbles to climb the big rock...you are missing the boat and have already failed

all i know is i've made banana snickerdoodle bread, snickerdoodle waffles, and even just had a snickerdoodle shake with PES' Select, and Greek Yogurt mixed with a scoop, and it's officially my favorite flavor, hands down
woohoo
imagine all the time & effort you would have saved (let alone better micronutrients, no comparison) had you just had a steak & sweet potato..arguably, tastes better as well....and DEFINITELY more satiating ....

but I understand -- most ppl have this fixation with worthless carbs, hence attempt to mimic these poor choices with what they consider "good" sources like the base word "protein" (ie whatever powder they can get that tastes sweet) or these non-sugar sweeteners or syrups etc etc to aid in this taste issue...
hey, whatever floats your boat

i make sure to get my micros in..
what does this even mean? :p
there is no amount of "micros" to get in...
the idea of consuming quality micros is to make each feeding rich in micronutrients..every time you eat
it is a lifestyle, not simply some target range to shoot for, some random arbitrary amount ..

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to snagencyV2.0 again....Great post.

This might help, it's a list of proteins and ranked by protein content (from CnP's website):

This might help
not really friend...

another example of misdirection in industry advertising -- "my protein contains more protein per equal measurement than yours"..
this is not only grossly irrelevant to any part of the big picture, is totally skews the issue from the IMPORTANT things
ie
protein source(s)..protein processing method used..carb sources..fat sources..additives..etc etc etc

not being a prick here, but that info you post is as worthless as a $3 bill

Holy crap, figures this table is bunk! I hate all the misdirection and lies about supplements out there! It's so hard to research when this kind of misinformation is out there. CnP= Chaos and Pain. Oh well, I'm taking the table off the post!

nah leave it up brother
it's a great example to ppl of what NOT to pay attention to, for future references..

Lol I wouldn't throw a brick at your head silly. (Maybe a small pebble). But we are past brick throwing. ;)
But really, muscle Meds is screwing people.
I'm gonna go with optimum nutrition instead.

I posted this in another thread about other products but I picked up a bunch of stuff from a newer company. The vanilla protein is pretty good really simple list of ingredients just whey isolate., sucralose, and that's pretty much it off the top of my head. AlphaPack Labs 100% whey-iso. You can pick it up pretty cheap if you use a coupon code. Taste was pretty good price and quality are most important to me as I drink my shakes down quick. I also like All-Max isolate but just too expensive at the moment.

I know absolutely nothing about this company, but a cursory glance shows there is very little info to be found on them (or the product), outside of their own very limited website, and a few sellers on amazon..
the label I see tells me nothing about the processing method of the product..
another quandary I scratch my head at is: they list 19 cals from the 109 total per scoop coming from fat....yet, the label declares 0g of fat at the same time...
(correct me if I am wrong, but my outstanding mathematical skills tells me this should equate to 2g of fat per serving)
and if there are 26g of protein per serving, that would be 104cals right there, no? so out of the addtl 5 cals left to be accounted for, somehow there are 2g of fat and 1.5g of carbs floating around
hmmm..

That's just the start snags. An actual isolate doesn't have 2g fat per serving so the protein source is probably falsified. Also, the cholesterol content is clearly mistaken.

30g scoop with no fillers = 26 G protein, 1.5g carbs, and the magically removed but present 2g fat

I hear ya guys the tub I received actually had correct numbers on it. They responded and said the label on the site was listed in error as there was a mistake by the designer which was then changed. Mine has 1.19 calories from fat or something like that. They always respond quickly. The other products I am using from them have done great (prohormones) so I am leaning toward believing what they have to say. Like I said before just added it for op I do also use allmax but cost sometimes doesn't work out for me.

If anyone is interested they can pm me I'll send the label i have I don't want to take the focus away of this thread.

I tried to upload the image from my phone didn't work, tried to convert it on the computer didn't work (im not tech savy) anyways here are the numbers on my label.

calories 109
calories from fat 1.19
total fat 0g
saturated fat 0g
trans fat 0g
cholesterol 4.22mg
total carbohydrate 1.44g
dietary fiber 0g
sugars 0.9g
calcium 126mg
phosphorus 62.2mg
sodium 44mg
potassium 87mg
protein 26g

I think I got that right ... who knows. Ingredients listed are

pure whey protein isolate, natural and artifial flavor, xantham gum, sucralose (splenda)

Anyways that was my contribution. Again I tried this, I am comfortable trying new companies if I can get a deal. There are so many options out there it is almost a shot in the dark until you find your favorite. Allmax flavoring is superior to this I listed for sure, but again I got a great deal and that's enough for me to give it a whirl. Worst case scenario it sucks right lol.
