Montego an Snagency tag-team with FINAFLEX in the corner

the shoes?

okay just got back from tennis...not too shabby for first time out, if I do say so myself
only thing that felt foreign to me really was my power serve (which usually takes 2-3x out to really get dialed in anyway)
everything else was groovy, slice serve was beast, even toyed around with a kick serve a bit
forehand was good, backhand was solid, and footwork was outstanding all things considered
I even went to the net a few times, dig it

im a lefty....used to have a wicked american twist serve, now if i don't practice often it goes off the edge of the racquet.

I am something you probably have never seen tom - ambidextrous, but mainly play right-handed, and I serve lefty (cannot serve righty for the life of me)...same thing in baseball, I switch-hit, can catch equally well with either handed glove, but I only mastered throwin hard from the left side
kinda weird I am :dunno:

a well-placed lefty slice serve can certainly dominate an opponent -- esp if you are equally adept at hitting one right down the middle if they start cheating way out there for the slice :yup:

lol...i eat, write, and play tennis lefty....i throw a ball, bowl, bat righty. american twist is a very hard serve to master, being a lefty i throw toss over my right shoulder and use legs and torso to strike the ball with racquet open like you would a kick serve. like laver i just use a continental grip for all shots including serve, this grip serves me well regardless of type of shot, topspin/underslice/flat. of course learning to play using the old small frame woodies is probably a good reason why i have such a wide variety of shots.

A little self inflicted torture tonight.

My wife's birthday is tomorrow and she has always said these were her dream pairings for a dessert. Chef Montego made it happen.

I present to you. German Chocolate Banana Pudding Cake.

I can't have any but her and the kids tore it the fuk up!

Looks good, and look at you with the will power...

Happy Birthday to the wife!

Legs are not happy right now.

Smith lunges
Four sets of twelve semi warm-up/working

Leg press (feet low and together)
Sets of eight working up to failure in 25lb increments

Leg press (feet mid platform and wide)
Sets of twelve (starting with weight used to failure above) working up to 18 plates for three sets of ten then four drop sets to failure

Db lunges
Three sets of ten on each leg

Leg extension (back off pad)
FST7

I think it was like 35 total sets and none of them were a cake walk. Varied TUT to make final reps painful on every set.

but this is good news!
DO WORK

getting my own iron-slinging session going on right nao
(is it time for chest/shoulders again?? eeash)

something different again for workout motivation

oh, and recovered nicely from tennis yesterday, happily..
wasn't going all out by any means, but pleased with the lack of soreness and stiffness this morning upon waking

Lefty here to but I dont think I have any special serves... or should I say had any...

Yep I bet you were left handed and got the old right hand forced on ya. I started to get it forced on me and like you and Tom I am ambidextrous as well. I can switch hit, throw decently with my right, I am a right footed kicker, I can box to either side just as effectively. Can write legibly wiith my right hand even in cursive just have to concentrate a little. All in all I love being ambidextrous.

yeah, I may have had that forced thing going on, I really do not recall
since we're the same age, that forcing RH sh1t was really past its time (more of an old school thought process there, like the 1950s) but yeah I know it was still straggling around by the 70s
whatever it is, I have never really paid attention to it, just got comfortable in how it is and that's that
I only remember it anymore, when someone watching me points it out (like on a tennis court, "did I just see you switch hands after your serve?" is a common refrain from those who have never seen me lol)

nice workout today, pretty swole
so, let's show something I didn't work out today -- the legs

damn, time to shave again....

Lol, they were still doing that with my little brother in the late 90's....

really? huh
that's very surprising, to me

Yeah, I think it was only with the older teachers though.

And I don't remember if it happened after kindergarten/first grade age, but he had a few that made him write with his right. Now his handwriting is terrible with both hands, possibly because of forcing him to use the wrong hand for a few years and then switching to him being able to use his left.

Or, his handwriting could just suck.

prolly this
seems to be applicable to majority of males in this country :D
on same topic (only different) - did I hear right, that the US education system is eliminating teaching cursive?
I mean, who came up with that brilliant idea?? how will ppl sign their names down the road, if they never learn cursive?
mind-boggling

It wouldn't surprise me, a lot of stuff is going towards e-signatures now.

It's still dumb though.

Worse yet kids won't be able to read the original constitution! This is true it's no longer taught!

I missed that comment...

Yup, our kiddo was not taught cursive in public school. Moved him to private school this year for multiple reasons.

Not a fan of DOE at all.

Snags just told me the same thing. He pats me on the back every once in a while.

Speaking of legs, not much soreness today even with the thrashing I threw at them yesterday.

Just got done stocking up at the grocery store. Buggy full of gains!

I didn't see any pics of Steve N Agency's legs, only those of Monte. If his legs are as thick as his chest, I'd be curious to see.
nah my legs are a shadow of what they used to be...they're doing all right these days tho
pic was on same page as monte's, couple posts before his

and speaking of wheels, man I had a fantastic leg session today, really crushed them things
in the groove, energy abundant, just wanted to keep going...now, I am falling into walls cuz da wheels are rubberfied :dead:
good times
