Yeah I see people running keto diets on tren and I'm just like, why? Your body is supposed to be in its most efficient state of nutrient utilization. Why devoid yourself of the greatest macro EVER? :-)

keto and cyclic keto are legit as long as you achieve ketosis. keep in mind tren will get you diced and a lot of guys will only use it to cut because quite honestly the sides can suck. i think one of the quickest ways to get lean is on a ckd or keto diet... tren +ckd=freak status in a hurry.
 
depends on what you wish to use it for
wanna get peeled? low-carb in cal deficit on tren is unreal
wanna get bigger? then you take opposite approach
myself, only use tren for final stages of stage-type approach
don't pigeonhole yourself into an isolated use of the compound, there is much more to it than that

It certainly makes sense...I can see for someone who competes how it would be ideal but I really have no need to get too shredded and actually don't want to. If I get to 9-10% bf and continue to add some lbm...that would be awesome!

We all learn. Even the knowledgable guys pick up information by the boat load, even some of it in the "noob" logs. That's what makes these forums great.

I think you have a great plan there 1ifeblood those macros and cals should treat you nicely for a little bit. Kind of grow you into a recomp.

Doing much better...I was pretty out of it Monday night though. Apparently there's some strange stomach bug staffing through the states. So far everyone in my household has gotten it and several other people I know. It didn't get me puking like most people but my stomach was jacked up nonetheless and the aches and lethargy was more than I've experienced in a long time. Had to miss my workout this morning but I'm going to tear it up Friday, rest over the weekend, pin on Sunday, and start my routine on Monday. This is gonna be AWESOME!

I will definitely be making adjustments as I go but I think it's a great place to start. I'll be leaning on you experienced fellas (and ladies) for advice on what dietary shifts to make depending on how it's affecting me so there will be plenty of noodz and measurements throughout this cycle.
 
Btw...had to synch my belt another notch this morning. I think bf% is pretty close to where I was before my test cycle last fall so I'll be interested to see what measurements are come Sunday.
 
Oh man...my buddy who I've been training for the last few months has NO idea what he's in for next week lol. I gave him a run down of what the routine will look like and he's all gung ho! I love the kid's enthusiasm...he's come a long way since he started working out with me. A virgin to the weights and overweight himself. But he's dropped 30lbs in 3 months, hadn't had a drop of alcohol in over 100 days, has gotten very strong very fast (he used to struggle with my warm up weights), and is constantly striving to get better. Needless to say, he's been a huge inspiration to me and has kept me motivated on those mornings I just didn't want to get out of bed.
 
Nice sounds like a perfect partner. Not sure if my wife will ever see the mention... she has not even logged in on here in a very long time. Other stuff going on and hasn't really been to the gym with me in a long time. I miss my workout partner...

For those who weren't in my last log, this created some fun chatter, but I kept this last set of pics to start this log off so I guess this is as good a time as any since its been so dead. Unfortunately gokix811 has not been able to join us yet, but I'm hoping she will eventually.

Well...today was my last day of the full body workout I've been doing while cutting. To give you an idea of the difference between when I was my strongest on the last test cycle I did to now, my max bench was 235x3 and today I BARELY got 225x1. Squat max was 285x5 and today I did 255x3. Even though those weights are not even close to what you monsters do around here, for me being on a caloric deficit (and the fact that I was sick this week) it's still stronger than where I was pre cycle. And I've never really trained for strength, I've just always wanted to look good. :-)

I do think the full body, 3 times a week workout really helped to hold on to the muscle I gained on test. Now it's time to let tren sculpt the Greek god that's hiding somewhere on my form! This run is gonna be...AWESOME!! :-D

Inclines. Incline bb incline db heavy as fuark for 3-5 sets of 3-5 reps. Seriously. Nothing better then heavy ass compound lifts lifting like a power lifter. Take 1-2 minute breaks between sets to regain most of your strength. The longer the better. If you've got a spotter hit negatives and forced reps.

I've gone back to working in my flat bench but when I try to get upper chest work in I'll get good and warm hit inclines, for like 4x6 then I'll do incline db with a pause at the bottom and explode to the top. Honestly it was like the chest day in my log, but all on an incline.
 
I was seriously considering the reverse grip bench press. It's it necessary to be at an incline or would you say hitting it on the flat bench activates it plenty?

I've always felt tons of pain in my shoulders and it activates triceps far more than pecs.
 
What should hand width be?
 
Mid grip. I like rev grip bench cuz its easier on my shoulders. Try db champagne presses for upper chest too.

When you do them, do you bring the bar to your sternum or do you hit a little lower?
 
Just a bit lower. After a couple reps you get the feel for where its most comfortable.

My dad said when he was competing, he could bench more with a reverse grip lol
