So I just started dress shopping... I can honestly say I'm not looking forward to this haha. Just tested my deadlift max, I pulled 535 and failed at 545 so it should be a decent pull for a guy wearing a dress![]()
I am! Haha

Thanks Bro Namath.
I sent the vid to Sean for his input. Everything but the initial pull looked ok to him (the one I reset after). I think I'm going to start pulling in flat shoes though, to stop forward drift.
FWIW, Chuck Taylor's are excellent for squatting & pulling in, personally. I've seen enough guys personally pulling well over 700 in them that I don't think they're gonna hurt, so I buy into them not being a bad choice. Your lower back stays flat, your spine is fairly neutral, & you lock out (can't see your knees in those shorts but your hips are locked fosho), so that's really all there is to it. I take my air standing up, with arms outstretched, to get the maximum belly-filling possible - when you take your air already bent over you're probably not gonna get as much air into your gut as you could standing. When I bend down, I grab the bar, take the slack, dip to let my shins contact, & pullup with eyes fwd/up. But as soon as I bend down, it's like a lightswitch - more time you spend down there thinking about trying to pull, more time you have to contemplate failure.
When I walk up to the bar, it's focused aggression, take air, bend down & rip it off the floor. I try not to spend time thinking - thinking is your enemy on heavy deadlift. You should have one thought repeating in your head at the bar & drowning out every other thought/fear - something like "Pull" or "Strong" or "I WILL!"
Yup, and pushing out against the belt. You're filling your self full if air and just hold it in during the lift?

Yup, and pushing out against the belt.
Does the same apply to squats?
Yes.
Thanks for the video. Saving to watch tomorrow...
What the ****.
This **** would've been nice to know a little while back...
All you had to do was ask lol.
Lol. I mean, I read y'all's logs. Just never seen that mentioned and I try not to ask more than one newbie question a day.[/QUOTE
It's surprisingly important and that Chris Duffin vid will show why

NoonSo...If you drink about 1.5 gallons of water a day and you were trying to weigh in as light as possible and you usually wake up around 8 am what time would you cut water off the night before. Hypothetically speaking of course![]()

He only has til Friday. Gottanother magic formula?Mon-Wed drink 4 gallons per day with high sodium, Thursday reduce it to 3 gallons and low sodium/carbs, Friday have a small breakfast then fast/dehydrate, then Saturday weigh-in. I lost 12-14lbs.

Anyone know what the added resistant is with the orange MD mini bands??
Edited:
Epsom bath
A laxative may help.
I'm only about .8 lbs off as off this morning. Did cardio after my workout today. Gonna try and cut water off around 9 PM tonight and see where that gets me I think.
Shave all of your hair off, including your eyebrows. That should do the trick.
The long mini's? <img src="http://anabolicminds.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=96767"/>

I still say shave the eyebrows.
Lmao. Bubble baths and dead lifting in a dress.
Thanks dudes! I'll see where I'm at tomorrow morning and go from there. HOPEFULLY I won't need to do the bath but if I'm still over .5 lbs away in the morning I'll go for it.
What's wrong with bubble baths bro? I'm taking one right now.
Dude Epsom salt baths are amazing in all honesty.
You got this Dan
.
Haha i hope so. I definitely twerked something in my back this morning at the gym and I haven't DL'd in probably close to a year so not only will dling in women's clothing be embarrassing it would be painful as well lol
Or, he could just twerk in a dress, since a deadlift may cause pain.Pretty sure you said you TWERKED something this morning. I'll need a video of that as well please.
