I've pinned myself under the bar dozens of times in the middle of a packed gym. Fortunately it's always been under a pretty heavy weight which spares at least some dignity.

I didn't catch the kgs part at first and was thinking who does pull ups with 8lb weights? Lol.

So I'm now into my third week and am yet to see or feel anything.
I was certainly expecting to at least have "some" sign that the 1-Alpha was working by now, so I'm a little disappointed in all honesty.

Would upping the dosage to 6 capsules per day make any difference?

I've ordered another 2 bottles just in-case.
 
Something that may (or not) be worth noting, is that I've been getting slammed with bouts of sleepiness late in the afternoon.

Everyday between about 5pm and 7pm, I get so sleepy that I can't keep my eyes open. If I'm at home, I go to bed and sleep for one or two hours and wake up feeling pretty fresh and gtg.

This is something new though, and has only started happening since I started the 1-Alpha (since app. 10 days ago).
 
At four caps a day you should without a doubt be seeing results.

Has body weight or body fat changed? Have Diet and training been consistent?

Diet is "always" on point, 1-Alpha or otherwise.
Training has been as well - it's all been documented here.

Body weight has fluctuated by about half a kg (1.1lb) since I started, however the only visible change I can see, if I had to point out any, is that I've lost definition in my abs. They were quite visible before I started (app. 9% bf), but now they're less so. It could be due to water/glycogen from the increased carbs I've been having since I started the Alpha, or due to the increase in calories. Either way, I wouldn't consider it a positive thing.
 
I've been recording every single thing I've eaten since the beginning of last year (haven't missed a meal) and keep a tally of how many calories I'm consuming. I don't write down the macros because I know what they are in my head, and it's very time consuming.

I just pulled out one day's worth of food from my diary so you can take a peek at a fairly average day -

My body doesn't react well to large amounts of carbs and I find that I look and operate much better when I eat high protein and fat, and get my carbs from vegetable sources rather than from things like rice or oats. Having said that, I still include these foods on occasion, but I eat them sparingly.

I've experimented with all ways of eating over the years, however this is the one that works for me the best, and the one that I have seen greater results with; not to mention that I feel a million times better.

But the question still remains - would upping the dosage to 6 make any difference? Before I know it, it's going to be week 4 and I'm yet to see anything.

By now it should have kicked in, right?

a full 3 weeks into cycle is, while not common, not unheard of either, as far as qualifying any results

I should ask then - in your experience, would upping the dosage to 6 potentiate the possibility for greater results from the cycle?
Or would it more or less yield the same/similar results as 4 would do, and as such, just be a waste of money?

Would 6 also increase the chances of side-effects? And if so, what?

Mmm.. I will give it a few more days and reassess then.

Seriously though, I did a short 1 andro run a while ago and found that it took a while to notice anything...probably about three weeks. I'd give it the three weeks then see if you want to bump it up.

I'm lurking in this log as I have 3 bottles of 1 alpha and 2 bottles of 550 xd that I will run later this year. I'm trying to gauge what to expect and you have a detailed log so far.

Amazing how some people are affectied more than others. Here I am taking 1-andro which isn't even close to as strong, yet I am seeing huge results. I could only imagine what a cycle of Alpha would do for me. I gained 10 lbs already on 1-andro. And you certainly are working 2x as me and have a much better on point diet. Weird stuff man. Keep going with it. Interested to see what happens. I'm in for the rest of the cycle if ya don't mind.

I took another 1-dhea product in the past and the first 3 weeks there was nada then boom.Be patient man this is not superdrol

Day 19 interim review:

Ok - I'm now almost in the 4th week of my 1-Alpha experience and wanted to give my thoughts about everything so far.

When anything training related occurs, it's very difficult for me to attribute those things to a supplement. The fact of the matter is that whilst I may not look like a pro bodybuilder, I believe that I live the life and have the discipline of one. I structure everything I do around the betterment of my physique and thus I correlate any improvements I make to the hard work and dedication that I invest every day. As a result, I can not say for certain whether the points I will raise below are indicative of the efficacy of the 1-Alpha, or if they are due to other possible variables.

Prior to starting my Alpha run, I had been on a three month gradual and slow cut in preparation for a modeling shoot. I started at approximately 12 or 13% body fat (90kg / 198lbs) and got down to 8% (83kg / 182.6lbs). To be honest, I looked a million times better being lean and at a lower weight than I did being bigger but without the definition. After I finished up with everything, my goal was to try and get some lean gains whilst maintaining the same (or as close to) body fat %. When I cut, I always eat above maintenance to preserve mass, but strategically implement cardio at various times throughout the day to create the caloric deficit required to shed the fat; as with anything else, consistency is the key.

Because I approach things in the manner described above, there wasn't much that needed changing as I switched from cutting mode into lean gains mode. The only changes I made were a decrease in training frequency to allow for more rest between workouts, and a slight increase in the number of calories consumed daily. I was taking in approximately 3,200 whilst cutting and am now taking in between 3,600 and 3,800 depending on my daily energy requirements. I eat nutritionally dense foods that are clean and for the most part unprocessed, and strategically implement carbs only when necessary.

Strength -

Since I started the Alpha, I've experienced strength increases, however this is not something foreign to me even when training without. I aim to increase the weight of reps on all of my exercises every workout and usually succeed in doing so. As a result I can not say whether this is from the Alpha, or from the extra rest and increased calories that I'm now consuming.

Weight -

This is by far the most peculiar change that I've experienced. I usually weigh myself once a week at the most because my weight can fluctuate a lot on a daily basis and the past 19 days have been no exception. Last week I was still around the same weight that I started with, however when I weighed myself this morning, I had gained 7kg / 15.4lbs. This has me baffled because 7kg in one week is a lot of weight. What's more unusual is that looking in the mirror, I see no improvements from how I looked before I started my cycle. The only change that I can see is a decrease in the visibility of my abs which were popping out prior to starting. I'm inclined to say that it's 7kg of fat, but that's impossible given the time frame and the number of calories I'm consuming, and with the way that I manage my salt and carb intake it's highly unlikely that it's water/glycogen/sodium retention; not to mention that I walk 8km a day to and from work and do 30 to 45 mins of cardio every evening after my training.

Sides -

There are two sides that I have experienced, both of which only came up in the last week. The first is that I'm shedding a crap-ton of hair. It's important to note that I have shoulder length dark brown hair and as such, when it comes out it appears more noticeable than if somebody with short fair hair was shedding. Another point to take into consideration is that it's summer here and extremely hot. Apparently it's quite normal to shed more in extreme heat, so there may be some connection there. I spent a great deal of time examining my head from all angles with two mirrors and fortunately, I wasn't able to notice any visible difference to the actual hair on my head - yet. I pray that this doesn't change, as hair loss is one of my greatest fears in life. The other side that I only noticed today, is that my left testicle has shrunk noticeably, and is now smaller than my right one which is still normal size. As with everything else however, this must have only occurred in the past seven or so days, as my testicles were both full-size less than a week ago. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't concerned; particularly for my hair.


There's still another 40 odd days to go, so it will be interesting to see what happens from now until then. I'll be sure to keep you all posted.

much the same in my approach as well as far as food choices go....however, the lack of bumping up cals is probably biggest reason why you have seen little movement in weight category
I am not saying this is a bad approach at all -- simply that, it may not be the best caloric range for you individually, for this product to help put the pounds on

I'd have to lean toward the latter explanation
1-Alpha is not really known to cause hair-loss, but understand many ppl experience individual sides sometimes to steroidal products

this also is individual, and a bit more common to users..i also get testicle aches sometimes while on 1-Alpha

while I understand your concern, let's keep this in perspective
even if these are indeed sides you are experiencing from 1-Alpha, they are temporary only ... when you are done with cycle, you will revert back to the norm in short order, no worries of long-term damage

I do hope you are right. I would be truly devastated if I lost my hair. Fwiw, I took 3gms of DAA and 70mg of arimistane before bed last night and today my testicle is now back to it's full size and firmness. Perhaps it was just having a bad day.

Everything that's happened recently has all occurred almost instantaneously which to me, seems odd.
 
On another note, I ordered another 2 bottles of 1-Alpha last week so I can increase the dosage or cycle length. After waiting 7 days for my express FedEx package to arrive however, I received a phone call from FedEx saying that Australian customs has requested that they detain the package so that they can send an official customs agent to the FedEx depot to examine the goods personally..

This strikes me as bizarre, as I got 4 bottles in with FedEx previously without any issues. The store also assured me that this product is not on the banned products list and I was unable to find the compound name on the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) website. I can only deduce however that perhaps it was prohibited all along and the first order got through by chance.

I did a more thorough search and discovered that the compound in 1-Alpha is also known as 1-androsterone or 1-DHEA. DHEA is a banned substance here, however I'm not sure whether the compound in 1-Alpha is also banned as it is not directly DHEA and must go through a process before it is converted. Realistically though, at least to me, it is one and the same and perhaps customs shares the same perspective.

The whole thing seems a bit sus to me. I hope that I'm not going to get into any sort of trouble over this as I have never and would never knowingly do anything illegal.

If there are any fellow Aussies following this log and thinking about ordering some 1-Alpha, I would advise you to wait and see what happens when customs make their final judgment. I will be sure to update.
 
You will not get in trouble..they will most likely send you a cease n desist order. Basically you can either accept that the package will be properly destroyed or go to court and fight it. And they will warn you against doing it again as you will be red flagged for all incoming packages thru customs at this point. I know this because I was caught twice with customs one for importing cigs from Russia and another time (stupid I know) importing Xanax from the UK. I was too cheap to go to a doctor and get it properly. Anyways, on both of those they offered to destroy and not get any fines. I would not worry about that. It just sucks that you lost out of the package. You can try and get a refund from the shipper as they did assure you this would not happen and you will be able to provide documentation it did. Be careful as to what you have shipped to yourself at this point as you prob. are redflagged assuming they do determine this is a banned substance..which they will. There not dumb. Good luck man
