Protein shake (1/2 actually. drank the other half afterwards) :30 before, 1 tbsp PB :05 before, then a Hershey Kiss :15/:30/:45m in. Trying to get my fats in closer to my workout.
Maybe carbs before training would help? Always seems to make my training go better.
I'm usually at 25-40g PWO with my almond milk and such. Do you think I should take in more, or solid carbs instead?
I like to go with complex carbs 1 hour or so before training, ie oatmeal works great. I guess I'm no expert but that's what works for me.
Give it a shot and see what you think.
You can blend the oats into your shake, or even just mix em in & choke em down if you're a trooper (I'm a sissy & blend that shiz).
Reverse-grip bench is always awkward. Once it gets heavy it's like mandatory to get a liftoff too.
Every two to three years one of my wisdom teeth decides to be a 'pain'. It looks like this is the year.
One of these days I'm going to have it removed...

I went for a little higher cals tonight but still in my cut-zone, just short of my personally set max.
LOL I woke up half way through my procedure... was interesting.

Cookies and Creme. It's good, but not my fav. I like the peanut butter (or cup) ones or plain French vanilla.

Speaking of wife, she says I’ve been spending too much time on my phone. She has a point. Especially since I’ve been gone the last few weekends. So, I’ll be spending a little less time here on evenings and weekends. I can always update meals at 0330 and workouts at work. Can’t neglect the wife, ya’ know.

Question: have you ever tried throwing a scoop of choc protein powder in a black coffee?
I've tried up to 1/4 scoop of vanilla in black coffee. It doesn't mix that great with a spoon, but tastes good anyway. I've been using my Finaflex shaker to mix the protein and almond milk, then mixing it with the coffee. Using a shaker with the coffee would probably work well...
They are great shakers aren't they. I like the sizing.
I was thinking of making coffee and putting in fridge, and then adding a scoop of protein (in shaker) and seeing if it comes out like a Starbucks Mochaccino... lol

Thanks Kenpo, and yes, I like the focus a lot. I can only imagine what it would be like if I were at a calorie surplus.
How much time left ?? Why don't you try going surplus but really clean and see what you get from it?
