Cool. I just looked up who had the most passing yards by a wide receiver, but I couldn't find it, because NOBODY CARES.

Just no. He never lived up to his potential, never played in a super bowl, never was the best quarterback in the league, never was in the top 3, AND he spent time in jail.

It's the Hall of Fame. Not the Auditorium of Really Good Players.
 
Lol this escalated quickly again. Herd I'm right there with you. I think if they taught him to see the field a little more and be a little smarter with where and how he throws the ball, he could make some major improvements with substantial carryover to the teams success. But it's those few bad choices in the game that condemn him.

We compare Ruth's stats with today's stats all the time. He played a long time ago. So did many of the greats today's players stats and season records are compared to

That's one person from the era and the GOAT in baseball not the entire league in the era and he's barely part of the era as a hitter. How about this: ERA's from then and now? Career starts and wins? The HoF is about being dominate in your generation and not your stats compared to decades prior to when you played. In the 80's 50 goal scorers where ubiquitous in hockey. Now, it's a huge deal if one player gets there.

Rushing QBs are popular. Yes. They are. Doesn't matter. What's the QB's #1 job? Winning. #2 job? Passing. #3 Job? Managing the game. #4 job is running the ball. Numbers two and three could be switched, but that's it. Do you disagree with my premises on the QB's responsibilities?

It's like saying Hines Ward should be in the Hall because he's the best blocking wide receiver of his era.

When he played doesn't matter? Frank "Home Run" Baker never hit more than twelve home runs in a season, and his nickname was HOME RUN. He got in the Hall for being a power hitter. A power hitter with 96 career home runs. Fast forward to live ball. George Foster hit 50 in 1977 alone. Not in the Hall. How does when a player played not matter?

What Bc of that superbowl win? His numbers aren't that good at all.

2-time MVP, icon of the game, first person to pass for 4,000 yards, changed the game. Again, it's ALL circumstantial when it comes to numbers. The games constantly evolve.

Qbs job is to win. How does he do that? By scoring... How does he do that? By driving the ball down field.

It doesn't matter how does it? Does it take away from a win if Wilson runs for a 30 yard Td or passes for one?

I'd have to check foster stats . Just cause you hit a lot in one year, doesn't justify it,

Namath is in because he guaranteed a win over the superior NFL and delivered, because he fücked models and partied with legendary celebrities, and because he signed for $100,000 in the 70s. How do you not get that the Hall is a popularity contest? And dog killers aren't popular.

Tell you what. I'll bet you ten thousand dollars that Mike Vick doesn't get in the Hall of Fame before 2040, or whenever the first one of us dies. I'll put you in my will.

You're right, it doesn't matter how you win, because the QBs only job is winning. Matt Hasselbeck has 93 wins to Vick's 60. So if Vick is HOF, then Hasselbeck is first ballot.

How have you guys not figured out there is no getting through to smoker?

All he cares about are some arbitrary numbers that mean nothing in the sport. Hell, he even thought Tebow was a better QB than Peyton Manning.

Namath's HoF resume was already done by the time Stabler came to prominence. However, that entire point is moot as neither of them played even remotely in the same era as Vick. Vick was never considered one of top-5 in the league and, sans a 10 game stretch, was a mediocre QB in arguably the Golden Age of QB's.

He had great teams. Granted not the best receivers, except to, but still he never could seal the deal. Plus his attitude.. I hated it .

Mcnabb is best remembered for throwing up on the sideline.

Throwing a pick in the. 4 th . Getting it back after a penalty, then doing it again
