Halodrol for Bulking - Diet?

Hi! I will start mi first PH cycle with Halodrol for mass gains. My problem is with diet. I have no idea how focus this, specially the amount of kcals. My maintenance is around 2200 - 2300 kcals /day and I always go up to 2600 for bulking. No more, it is enough for me.

But during the cycle, must I increase kcals more? I have planned some like that:

I'm currently: 67 kg / 170 cms / 13% BF

- WorkDays: ~ 2800 : 225g P / 310g C / 75g F
- RestDays: ~ 2300 : 225 P / 150 C / 90 F

What do yo think?

Just eat over your TDEE everyday, why are you eating lower calories on off days if you're bulking?

What are your stats?

I want to limit fat gains during the cycle.

Currently: 67 kg / 170 cms / 13% BF / 4 years training / 20 years old
Weights: Squats: 100kgx5 ; BP: 90kgx5 ; DL: 125x5

You're not going to gain fat while on cycle. You won't gain anything if you don't eat enough. Therefore , eat over your tdee everyday.

Eh I want to say your to young and wait till your 21 but I ran a cycle at 20 so I can't be a hypocrite, however I'd wait till I got my numbers up on the big 3 before I cycled

Thanx for the advice man!

I will eat over TDEE every day but I'm worried about macros. Is it enough with 3.5g/kg bw for proteins? What about carbs:fats ratio?

TDEE = ~2400 kcal.
- WorkDays: ~ 2900 : 250g P / 300g C / 80g F
- RestDays: ~ 2500 : 250 P / 150 C / 100 F

That looks good. I'd bump up the rest days to 2600-2700kCals and get to it .

I would aim for 3k cals
Under 100g Fats
150g Protein
400g Carbs

Carbs are WAYYYYY more anabolic than protein is, if you are eating enough protein focus a majority of your attention to carbs if you really want to grow. Halodrol is going to allow the muscles to store more glycogen and this drastic uptake will be complimented with a higher carb intake you should still drop fat. Keep your fats controlled, 3k cals should be really easy for you to hit! Don't be afraid to eat man this stuff works wonders for nutrient partitioning!!

You could gain up to 20lbs on your first cycle granted your training/diet are up to par. :) Really wish i would of been eating this way earlier..

Ah true. I should have mentioned my body doesn't respond well to carbs so I added protein. But yes protein is not really anabolic, thought it can be. Carbs are a mor ready energy source

EatMoar & thetinyguy thanx!

I thought that while prohormones I only have to increase protein intake but nothing about a better insuline sensitivity.

I would up carbs and for the 2nd week.

Dude i love your username i didn't even realize it haha, yeah you will have to tweak it to your individual needs thats for sure. I somehow eat 500-700 carbs and don't really gain any size but my strength goes up.

You will love halodrol man, the way your body will handle carbs/protein is different. Why do you think you see pro bodybuilders stuffing their faces with whatever they can get their hands on? The body just soaks it all up! Just experiment with it you won't gain any fat unless you are grossly over eating :)

That's crazy, I'm in a slump (if you can call it that) where I'm eating about 500-600kcals over my maintenance and I dropped weight and somehow look leaner. I'm not on anything either lol

I, and many of my friends have experienced that. I believe if you diet hard the metabolism becomes slightly suppressed so once you add in more metabolic rate cranks up, more energy more fat burning and even more muscle building opportunity, it's happened so many times i am convinced that 99% of people are undereating when cutting. I would even go as far to say eating maintenance would be best for cutting fat fast while maintaining even building strength! When i was on cycle i found that no matter how much i ate it was extremely hard to gain fat as long as dietary parameters were good like keeping dietary fats in check. All really depends though!

Indeed! I was cutting at my maintenance and lost a huge amount of fat. I was also doing HIIT 4x a week along with it so I was in a deficit for sure. Eating under maintenance and then lifting + cardio puts you in a really deep deficit which doesn't make sense to me because I want to preserve my mass. Eating to little is also no fun lol

Hi again! After my first week with Halodrol, it was time to weigh myself and I have only put 0,5 kg (~ 1lb). My question is? If my goal is to put a decent amount of muscle, have I increase kcals?

Despite is the first week and I have been with low dosis (I increase this week for all the cycle), Does my body need more food in order to build more muscle?

IT's up to you to be honest, keep adding in cals and if you don't gain any fat your on the right track for lean gains on cycle add in 500 more
