Country Gets HUGE with 5-3-1, Erase and DAA.

Thanks guys. I guess I should have added I'm trying to avoid a pill because he has digestive problems and any kind of pill bothers him and he will end up not taking it after a while. I was actually just trying to sell him on some joint for sean, and see if I could convince him to take achilles and hopefully stomach it.

Then get joint force. But be careful, it could also be used as pepper spray srs

If he lifts, high volume and exaggerated negatives (like 4+ real seconds) also help.

Thanks guys. No lifting for him. He hunts fishes gardens works outside and bowls in a league. So active. But no lifting or other sports.

What does he grow?

Almost everything. Corn beans peas potatoes tomatoes cabbage lettuce peppers fruits berries onions squash cucumber flowers... I could go on lol. Huge garden for veges plus some trees flower gardens and berry plants for blackberry and raspberry and lots of strawberries.

That's awesome. My favorite thing to grow was potatoes. Haven't gardened in a while... One day I'll do it again

Haha I help him out a good bit when I am home and in the summer, it's nice having good fresh food.

Just talked to the insurance guy about my jeep, looks good.... but it looks like I will be getting a brand new axle in the rear so they have to get the axle housing, build it back to my custom specs etc.

I will be buying back my other one from the shop and fixing/upgrading it and probably reinstalling it. The only thing wrong is a broken shaft and bent housing end. They make a kit that bolts to the end of the housing, using a big bearing kit like they use in 9" custom axles, and uses hardened chromoly axle shafts to really increase strength. So I can replace both broken parts and have a stronger axle. I was going to do this anyways. So I can build that one and swap it back in later, and I guess sell the other.

Screw deloads. It's go time. All that rest from being sick and missing my second bench day has me primed to kill it.

D1W1C13. Bench. BW 196

Bench - barx20, 135x7,10, 215x5, 245x5, 280x4(-1, but still a PR I think?!), 3, 225x8, 135x10

DB bench - 60x7, floor- 60x7, shoulder press/arnold- 60x7 (they all made my left shoulder that I once hurt feel funky. This is why I hate DBs)

DB row - 80x7, 100x7, 120x7,7,12 right/20 reps left, +10 right, 80x20. I messed up my grip on the right side and then used straps, got comfy w/ them for the 20 on the left so I went back to even it up for my right side. 120x20 is stupid high reps but that's all the higher our DBs go.

Cable fly double - 4x10,10, single x10,10

Hanging leg raises - 12,10, I don't like the setup for these at my gym, moving on.

Pin Press Bench - 135x5, 225x3,1, 275x3,2,3

DB skull crusher - 40x10, 7, 30x7

I had a lot of energy, stress etc pent up from the events over the last week or so, so I did a little extra today, to get back in the swing of things and relax. My body quit before my mind today. I'm bummed I missed my reps today but also since that's a PR and I hit PRs and a new max last week, and I just came back from being sick, I'll take it. I am gona get it on thurs.

Trying to decide if I am deadlifting tomorrow or taking my deload... I feel really good, but I need to make sure my back issue is healing up.

Good to hear about your Jeep!

I'm working on getting my sh!t back in it - it's so cold right now around here that getting out of bed to lift in the AM is pretty much not gonna happen...

Jeep it totalled, the quote sounds way high, they are trying to rip me one with the Totaled value and the buy back. Stupid. And with all the custom work I have in it, it makes no sense to try to get a new jeep and swap my stuff over to it. I'm probably gona buy it back and do all the work myself and cut some corners to get it back on the road safely. I'd considered making it a trail rig only. I will probably buy a car to drive until summer and then finish getting my jeep back how I want then.

Pretty pissed. Good thing today is deadlifts.

D@mn.... disregard my previous post...

Haha no joke. Well I have to do a lot of work now myself, but if things work out I will end up with about 3 grand in upgrade parts... lol. Just no jeep for a few months and have do all the work and get it reinspected.

D2W1C13 Deads BW - 195.4

Dead - 135x7, 225x7,7, 315x3,1, 370x5, 425x5, 485x5, 525x1, 545x1, 315x7,
Double pause dead - 315x1, 1
Triple pause dead - 315x1,
Double pause dead - 225x2,
Front squat - 135x7,7, 185x7
Back extension - 150x12, 5 sets
decline sit up 25x25,25
db curl - 45x7,7

The double and triple pause are a pause 1" off the ground for 3-5 sec, at the knees, and lockout. triple are above and below knees, double are just above or below whatever your sticking point it. Body felt fantastic, form felt great. I let my lumbar break over a little on 485 and didn't realize it til I saw film. Not bad but not a habit I want to make. I focused on being flatter on the 2 jokers. Hamstrings were sore today, not sure why, and they are what failed me during the deads.

Kill it !!!!! while your doing that im going to kill a pizza

Sounds good to me brother.

I would call that killed lol nice work

Thanks man. I ran out of energy though, I didn't eat enough today and from being sick still I think. Had a good session though.

Very very solid pulling my brother

Thanks man. I tried to get some good heavy volume in and those pause deads are supposed to be real good. They sucked. Like I was gona try reps at 315... no way. One rep takes about 15 seconds and you don't want no more after that.

I have 2ct pause deadlifts this week....kill me now. I don't even want to think about how you were man enough to do double and triple pauses.

Awesome man. I'd seriously give the double pause a try. As much as they suck I like them in a way. Supposed to teach good form and stability at the sticking points. Not to mention obviously a good workout.

Pause deads sound fun haha. Think I might plug em in next cycle I've been thinking about em for a while.

Good work country!

Thanks Capo. Go for them man, they are a good time. Looking forward to seeing how they treat me over the next few weeks.

Nice chunk of heavy work there for sure.

Yeah, I follow a guys program that does these (well he pauses for 1 or 2 seconds mid shin) then hammers up the finish.
Still battling back and forth whether or not I want to do them on a steady basis. I "seem" get some good kick and certainly some deep low back and hip fatigue from the pin pulls moreso than block pulls and starting at some crappy lever points like 13" 15" off floor for me.

Thanks man. I don't have a good setup for pin pulls at either gym so I don't do them. I will probably start working the double pauses into my light warmups to help with the form and not use them often with heavier weights.

Gona try and get that 280x5 today on bench.

Crap session. Pec felt horrible as soon as I warmed up throughout. Basically just did my work and got out. Pain is 3-4 out of 10 just some tightness and minor strain. Ill update w numbers in a bit. Skin looks like this over pained area.

I would start icing it ASAP. Bruising (hard to tell from my phone) can be a sign of a pec strain. Keep an eye on it here and see what it does.

I was just curious . If I'm not mistaken, a tear Eould have bruising near the bicep.

left front front delt, near where pec attaches. I gave it some light heat to keep it warm and stretched gently, gona ice now. It's not hurt/strained bad at all, but needs a little attention. In fact pain is almost 0 right now.

Edit: pic got turned sideways, top is on the left.

Thanks man. I iced it a while 10 on 10 off. Just got stiffer but feels better now that I'm back to normal temp. Just gona take it easy and if it's still tight Monday do my Deload workout and pick it up Thursday.

Even when your broken you still bench big lol take care of it man

Thanks man. Only pain was on the way back going towards the chest. I was gona do singles with 315 today but decided not to push it. Ill definitely keep an eye on it.

Had to lift at 1:30 today so my meal schedule was weird. I also woke up early to eat my first meal. Well I was not feeling energetic and back and knee were bothering me. No big PRs but an okay workout. I might take my Deload next week. My mental side says lift I feel great when I wana skip a Deload. But then my body catches up and gets beat up. Oh well.

D4w1c13. Squat. Bw-194.5

Squat-barx7,7. 135x7,7. 225x5, 260x5, 300x5, 350x5,3, 300x5, 260x10

Leg curl - 110x10-5sets

Leg press ATG 300x10,10

Sit ups - 25. 2 sets.

Hanging leg raise was aborted because it was irritating my strained pec. Nothing else bothered it though and it felt good this morning.

A nice deload will do you well man.. I always have a rough workout or two after a deload though. It makes me hate em.

I'm the same way. I'd rather have a bad workout because I feel off than because my body is beat down and injured though. Usually I take every other. I mean I hit all my numbers but bench this week but to be fair my training maxes need reset a little after 13 months. Progress on the program has just been a tiny bit faster than my actual. So I am gona reset bench 2 cycles next time. I think dead is okay where it is, and squat is right on.

well I did 13 forward lol. I say don't stop progression while it's there, and go by feel not some set numbers. Once the weight gets to heavy for a training max, it's simply too heavy. Right now my bench is exactly my max, my dead is 15 pounds shy of my current max, and my squat is a little short of my max, but I haven't tested it... calculated it's 20 pounds away. So dead and squat are good for 2-3 more cycles at least I think. Bench has gota go back a little.

Yeah, no doubt. I think I am getting there. I will probably just slow down the program progression myself at that point.

Nice squats. 350 for 5 is big.

Thanks man. I think I should have been able to hit more. I felt terrible just overall, the first rep was just as hard as the last. I had zero explosive power and pop out of the whole, I was fighting the whole rep, not my normal at all. Between being sick and worn from other workouts I guess it was just an off day. That said it wasn't bad and I hit my numbers so.
