Rob112^3...That means cubed guys. See what I did?

Both teams defenses have consistently allowed opposing teams to put up 20 points or more against them. <-----not impressed. When foles puts up six touchdowns against the 49ers, Seahawks, Chiefs, etc. you can make an argument that he performed well against a good defense.

They're about to see a good defense Sunday. Our secondary is inconsistent, but our d line and linebackers are firing on all cylinders now.

We have 10 sacks out of our rookie d linemen so far. De'andre Levy has the most interceptions in the league as a linebacker.

We put so much pressure on the quarterback we can get away w inconsistent corners.

Bring it...

He get a ring with the steelers?

Yup, he's a great dude. He's got this foundation that raises millions of dollars for inner city kids. It's his full time job now - other than the announcing he's doing.

We love him here in Detroit...

Edit: and as a backup he delivered in some big games...

Chuck Batch, beloved everywhere he goes. Stand up guy, damn good quarterback. Napalm, he put up some numbers in Detroit a few times, did he not? Regardless, you don't stay in the leage for over a dozen years if you can't play. He done made his money.

We drafted him out of eastern Michigan, which is about 30 miles from here.

And I'm pretty sure he has two rings, I might be wrong.

And his foundation is like a real foundation. Not one some athletes will set up for pr purposes, his really helps people.

I know I mentioned in herderdude's log but I just gotta say the supernova ball is awesome. I laid on my lacrosse ball last night not finding anything in my rear and side hip. Today, this thing destroyed me and brought back smother motion. To top it off its larger size makes it great for hamstrings, obliques, and the front of the hip that is hard to hit with a lacross ball considering it gets lost in our bloat :)

That is the last I will. Just figured if anyone was thinking about it I would help them. It is a little pricey, and mine was a birthday gift so I didn't pay, but having tried it now I would pay for it if I had money to spend on it.

That is all.

Aware me on the supernova?

Worked up to last warm up on all exercises
Squat-305
Bench-205
Dead-350

Gonna pack some Advil in case squat flares up the shoulder/elbow. Learned what needs a little more warm up and what doesn't. Deadlift was surprisingly easy. Maybe I PR in all 3 this meet after all!

All I know is I am ready! Last workout until meet.

I can't thank you for your post, for some strange reason, which happens from time to time. Anyhow, it sounds like you are just where you wanna be, physically, mentally and psychologically. Good work, Rob.

Thanks guys. I feel like I learned some things from the first meet. I hope to learn just as much from this one. Thanks again fellas!

Learn stuff like ...

HOW TO LIFT HEAVY-ASS WEIGHT!

Your humility will assist you greatly in your journey. Stay hungry and humble, young man. :)

To the lions? Lol come on man , lettuce be cereal. Shady is gonna run right into monday, and nick foles is gonna do his usual work ( I'm starting to give in to him). Defense is gonna get 3-4 turnovers and birds win by 2 scores

I'm good

But just look at foles projection. Do you know what kind of numbers he'd put up in a full season? Lol I agree napalm. It's way to early to make any conclusions about him, yet in Philly he is anointed as the second coming of Christ. But I'll say this, birds win Sunday. 38-17

38-17... Close enough

Did a ridiculous amount of internal rotation work on my left shoulder today, as that is the culprit of the left forearm and wrist issues. I am doing my best to restore full motion, or as close as I can.

If any of you guys had good results with any movements specific to IT let me know in case I am missing anything.

What'd ya do for internal rotation?

Mashed the whole area. Then voodoo flossed the shoulder, laid on the floor, had my wife apply pressure with her foot, and then I internally rotated the shoulder(this one seems kind of sketchy and the whole arm gets tingles). Then I did some stretches with the band. Wrap around wrist and let arm get pulled behind you with the arm rotated to put all the pressure in the front of the shoulder, and then one where I pull the hand behind me(as if I was stretching the tricep).

This vid has the band stuff.

Looks good Rob.

I,T,Y,W circuits on a swiss ball may be helpful, provided they don't cause pain. I's are down at sides, vertically. T's are out to sides. Y's are forming a Y out front, with thumbs up. W's, start extended and then row back, retracting the scapulae. Start really light, such as 2-3 lbs.

Cuban presses can be helpful too -- I think Toro and Sean do these.

I also like to do internal/external rotation with a pulley or bands, including high, for external rotation, and low for internal rotation -- arms are at 90 degree angles for these, just as they are when you do them conventionally at the sides.

Anyhow, this is just stream of consciousness, some of the stuff I've been doing. I also generally advocate working on the mid and lower traps, and laying off stuff that engage the upper traps, when there are shoulder issues. But that's just a generalization. Listen to your body over all else.

Never did the I portion. I do T and Y here and there. I'll look up Cuban press. Thank you very much for the ideas. I'll throw some of this into my training.

Interesting idea on the traps...not sure if mine are tight or not. I rarely directly work them, but indirectly they get hit a lot.

You the man

What's wrong with direct trap work? I shrug many sets on deadlft day

Nothing wrong with direct trap work. It's just that so many guys over develop the upper traps, and once that occurs, it makes it nigh impossible to develop the mid and lower traps, which leads to shoulder dysfunction and injury for lack of good scap retraction. The upper traps will steal everything.

You'll hear me saying this a lot, because it's true. ;)

I can't really give you feedback as I don't know your routine well enough, though I think it's safe to say that there is no reason to be doing lots of sets of shrugs unless you have a significant deficit there. 3 sets of strict shrugs on DL today should be plenty ample. But YMMV, and this is just one guy's opinion -- a guy who has taken many logic courses, herderdude, lol.

I haven't done shrugs more than once every couple months since 2007. More like 5-10 sets a year. And I get comments on how I don't have a neck or "bro your traps are huge" all the time. Overhead pressing, olympic lifts, heavy rows, and deadlifts are all you need to build freakish trapezius development.

Same for most of my lifting career. And I used to have some pretty freaky traps myself, at least relatively freakish for a lil guy. I prefer an upright cable row, as we've discussed.

Same. I stick them in once a month or so like curls.
Heavy dead sets and the next day my neck is dom'ed out.

I like to superset all major upper body movements with shrugs, starting with the shrug, to preexaust. Doesn't everyone do this?

Have you read Paul Kelso's book?

I used to to do some lat shrugging, but I just got away from it. Don't seem to need it IMO.
Didn't Poliquin say, in order to curl a good bit of weight, it was good to shrug???
Hey, Atlas shrugged.

Hey, Atlas shrugged.

Lol re Atlas Shrugged. Truth be known, I am not a Rand fan. Not Paul, not Ayn.

And sometimes my sarcasm is indecipherable, lol. I am, however, a fan of the Kelso shrug, actually, as it hits the lower and mid traps much better than a traditional shrug, IMO.
