ArA help (X Gels)

- I just read few a few logs and I have the old bottles of X Gels (The new version arrives tomorrow). It has 250mg/cap but Dewey (old AppNut Rep on here) stated that it only has 100mg of ArA (for the old version). I have 3 bottles of the old version and 1 of the new. I took 4 caps of the old version today. Did i under dose? Should I be afraid of high levels of Zinc if the 100mg/cap is true and i increase the dosage?
 
Really don't wanna have to go out and buy freakin calcium. Ugh. I'm all out of orange triad so no multi right now.

In all seriousness, would drinking alot of milk throughout the day cover? I'm waiting for a laugh, lol

Carry a spare boob for the milk. More cost effective.
 
This is what I found on WebMD:

Taking more than 100 mg of supplemental zinc daily or taking supplemental zinc for 10 or more years doubles the risk of developing prostate cancer. There is also concern that taking large amounts of a multivitamin plus a separate zinc supplement increases the chance of dying from prostate cancer.

Taking 450 mg or more of zinc daily can cause problems with blood iron. Single doses of 10-30 grams of zinc can be fatal.

so if the old version of X Gels has 5mg/gel and i take 10 gels, thats 50mg...yayy i can do math hahah
 
I eat generic tums like they are going out of style so im good if i use that brand lol.

This was only the 1st run of X-Gels, not any of the current batches.

Yeah I was just being idiotic......but I do indeed eat tums like potato chips, I get lots of stomach acid I guess. Makes for one more supplement I don't need to buy I suppose!
 
OP, you will be fine, 50 mg of zinc won't harm you. Do as the others advised you, and avoid other zinc supplements.

Tums can be a life saver for sure, acid reflux can become an all to real problem for me when bulking. Never needed more than 1 or 2 a day though luckily.
 
How do I know if I have the old or new version of X-gels?
I have some of the bottle I was using before I got injured last month and 2 new bottles I received from black friday shopping got a pretty good deal on the 2..

The bottles look different. Go to nutra and check out what it looks like.

Look on the bottle to say Core Series.

If you bought it recently, it is very unlikely that it is an old bottle. You should post a picture though if you're concerned, and we can tell you.
 
Also the new bottles have the shrink wrap labels, which at least for me, when opening them/tearing off the seal, it rips some of the label off as well, exposing the white bottle...

yep. when i first opened mine i was like ah crap i broke the label but didnt realize thats how its made lol
 
They say core series and the label has the 625mg standardized at 40% to make 250mg
I also thought I ripped my label when I opened them so should be good
 
also, the older batches have very small gels. almost look like pellets. The new ones (current ones) are twice (or more) than the OG size.
