Oh **** me. I'm getting a front squat harness and putting on my full gear, now. I weigh 230. I need 575. You better hurry the **** up and hit yours while you're skinny, or you're in deep ****. I'm guessing you won't get back below 205 after making weight, so I'm thinking you'll need to hit a 525.

Can't be disappointed. We got outpitched all series, and pitching is our strong suit. We need a little more in the bat department and we'll be right there.

Been like that since Day 1. Might need to reinforce it a little, though.
 
Basing percentages off of a 5lb PR leads to some scary ass stuff like 385x8-12x3 for next weeks' squats and a week 4 deadlift day that goes 455x2x3, 495x2x2, and 425x5x2. Those numbers don't look like much relative to my absolute max, but after you do it once, you know what to be afraid of.

I can believe that as it edges up your capacity to hit volume (20 reps +) up over 80%/85% of maxes.

Right. In the past, I would work up to one all-out top set. Now doing multiple top sets will build up the volume and work capacity. And work capacity is the foundation for huge skyscraper numbers. I'm starting to care less about how many times I can hit a weight in a single set and worry about how many times I can hit a weight in a single session AND over time.

Brad Gillingham has deadlifted 800+lbs 99 times in competition. I have hit 500+ five times in my life. Puts it into perspective.

Hit what I wanted to hit, good sesh. Basically my Body day is going to be the opposite of my Bench day. When I Rep Bench and the Rx'd reps are high, I do Press for lower reps, but not quite "heavy". When I rep bench and the Rx'd reps are low, I'll go higher reps on Press and CGBP. When I do speed bench, I'll press and CGBP for a triple. When I bench heavy, I'll do those for speed. Get it? Good.

Dimel deadlifts are brutal. Exhausting and blasts the glutes and hams.

Think of it as similar to an explosive romanian. I pushed my hips through hard and fast at lockout. Not overpulling and unlocking my knees, but just pushing them through. The bar was traveling away from my hips a good 6", and then I dropped right into the next rep.
 
Serious weight handled on the OHP and close grip, man. Impressed. I think that bench of yours is definitely in you right now, today; you just have to coerce it out.

It's close, but I don't think it's there yet. I need some lats to control and reverse the weight. And I skipped out on front delt raises LIKE A DUMMY for the past eight months. I'm attacking everything. Lats, off the chest, lockout, arm and shoulder health, gaining weight. I'm leaving my body with no choice but to move more weight.

These were done at many different tempos. Interspersed were romanian deadlifts, barbell rows, and at the end we did a crunch circuit. surprisingly, the ab circuit was the only thing that didn't suck. Loaded carries FTW. Hopefully I'm not sore for heavy pulls tomorrow.

Oh yeah, rep rep rep rep day. The instructors are dancing with the little sand barbell on their back, I'm sprawled across the little stepping platform trying not to shytpuke. I think I kinda scared the little ladies in the back, but the instructors loved telling me how they were kicking my butt and how they were using the same weights as me.

First thing, she tells me I'm going too deep. Here we go . . . She wanted me to keep my butt above my knees to hit quads and glutes. Lady, you got some nice glutes, but they ain't got shyt on mine.
 
Lol, people crack me up with their crazy/uneducated ideologies. How would squatting to depth somehow bypass your quads and glutes? Kudos for biting your tongue lol.

455x3x2 these were insanely tough. We had to set them up on bumper plates and it just would not seem to work. Finally I remembered to just push my hips in and it worked. I've got a lot of room to improve here.

TOUGH day. Had some good and bad reps at 425, but no grinds. Going to start heading to the gym more often. Some members had a meet yesterday and we had a 500lb single ply bencher (for the third time in 2013) and a girl who did her first meet and set 4 American records in her fed (she's such a badass). We're going to be squatting on Sundays at the very least and I'd like to get out there more often.
 
Nice sesh. Could definitely be cool to get out there with like minded lifters. Even if just on the main lift.

Well this gym has a SSB and a GHR and conditioning equipment. So I need to go here every once in awhile to fill in the gaps. And I'd like to have eyes on me to give me feedback, set an atmosphere, and spot some ambitious sets.

Definitely.

And I'm falling in love with the SSB myself. I wish I could try a GHR or Reverse Hyper.
