Jack3d Advance Formula first impressions:
breezy11, AZMIDLYF, bean5er

(maybe that'll bring them in here lol)

Very similar to the effects of enhanced at 1.5 scoops of each. My body temperature rose after dosing, and I was sweating more than usual. My endurance was up, had exceptional focus today (although, enhanced does edge it out here), and a very noticeable boost of energy. I think that most people who use it will be pleased with it. I of course used it with Max Pump as well so the pump was absolutely retarded. It was painful.

All in all this is definitely a product that I will use again, and very likely buy more of. For me, it just comes down to whether or not I can get it at or around the same price as enhanced because they are both very effective preworkouts.

Jack3d AF is definitely Jim Approved [SUp]TM[/SUp]

My wife used a scoop today, and she wants to get more (as she is in need of a preworkout) and she said the effects were very similar to the enhanced I let her use last week. She said the pump was better with Jack3d AF than she noticed with enhanced, but the focus, energy, muscular endurance, and strength were all similar.

Haha I'm glad you and your wife liked it Jim. I've been looking forward to hearing what you thought.

I'm not big on product comparisons, but agree that the effects are closer to those of Enhanced, more than other pre-workouts that I've tried. The thermo effect has me sweating more than most fat burners as well. If you ever want to take the focus up another level, try adding a cap of VERSA-1 (I believe you won both). I'd imagine that adding the nitrates from Max Pump would be "painful", as the Arginine Nitrate/Pinus Pinaster Bark Extract combo could provide some serious pumps on it's own. What did you think of the taste (if you didn't scoop it directly into your mouth)?

You can find some great deals being offered on Jack3d Advanced if you search around. I picked up my tub of watermelon for $24 shipped and believe NP currently has a deal on 2+tubs.

Thanks for the feedback and "Jim seal of approval". Solid sessions as well man...I'm still following along

The first day I put it under my tongue and it burned like fire.

Yesterday I mixed it with ~7 oz water and it tasted very good (fruit punch), smelled like Hawaiian Punch. It had a sweeter taste to it, I will be buying Watermelon (soon, hopefully) and assume it'll taste like MBCAA+ (which is phenomenal)

Yeah man, I think it's delicious. After having both Watermelon Jack3d AF and Modern BCAA+ the last 3 days, I think that I might actually like the taste of Jack3d more (and I love MBCAA+). Pretty crazy, considering that it's a pre-workout product. It has more of a "candy" taste compared to MBCAA+, which reminds me somewhat of jolly ranchers.

ME Lower:

Aug 26

pre: 3 Uncut, 4 Max Pump, 1 Green Magnitude
intra: BCAA/SAA

Box Squat: 185 (+40 Chain) x 4, 225 (+40 Chain) x 4

Video to be added later.

Leg Press: 490 x 6, 540 x 6

a1. GHR: BW x 10 x 2
a2. DB lunge: 80 x 8, 100 x 8 (per leg)

1 Arm Cable Row: 60 x 15 (per arm)

AND, my sexy new shirt courtesy of Grambo. Fits great, for anyone wanting to get one, I have another that I also wear regularly and am looking to get the black one next.

Unrelated note: My wife has a hip impingement, and very likely a torn rotator cuff (for most of the year), that we are trying to rehab her through. Any of you guys got any tips and tricks that I could have her try to help out, she does some distractions and a decent amount of external rotation (on top of the regular prehab and warmup) and it helps her to feel better, but I know some of you guys (looking at you Sean) have a good amount of knowledge for things like this.

Feeling good, may have strained my brachialis a week or so ago. I've been icing and icy hotting it and it feels alright, just a little bit of soreness when I forget to do that. I may have to take some NSAIDS to help with the healing process, but it isn't really an issue and is very mild.

Also, important note, I am heading out of state tomorrow (I've been contemplating it for a while) but made the decision today that I'm gonna do it. Heading up to MI to visit my Uncle, have him meet my wife, and spend some time together (he isn't doing well). So I will very possibly do some sort of conditioning while I'm there (and will update to the best of my ability) but I'm basically gonna use this week as a deload since I don't expect to be able to train while I'm there.

Just a thought! Pretty sure he lives where Emenimem does.

Yes I think I remember him saying he is in the D. Holland is on the opposite side of the mitten.

Edit: confirmed in previous post. :D

Enjoying my time off, but I'm getting fat lol. I get antsy when I don't train for a while.....

Heading out of here in a day or so, don't think I'm swinging through to Ohio. The drive up here was miserable and I don't want to add another 6 hours to it lol.

Just placed a labor day order for some Enhanced, Trutein (found a good price, so I'm trying it instead of my usual OxyElite), Cissus, and the New Island Punch Condense (with CC D Pol).

And, I think that I've decided to compete at 181 until I can't anymore.

I have another 2 years to compete as a Junior, so I'm going to begin recomping/lean(really lean) bulking until I'm unable to cut water for weigh ins at 181. So I expect to lean up initially and stay around 181 (possibly to compete in Oct, but I'm still undecided on whether my wife and I are doing that one) but I will definitely be doing the SE TX Challenge in December. So, I'll just continue on at this weight and improve my body composition (because I still have a specific way I want to look physique wise, along with being as strong as possible) while getting as strong as I can for as long as I can.

Time off is good. Just means it will feel even greater to get back into it.

I'm jealous of your civilian status sometimes.

Sounds like a plan

If you haven't tried it, XF Ultra Peptide 2.0 is an amazing protein as well. The lemon cream pie tastes phenomenal even in water.

Hopefully lol.

It might feel even worse getting back to it.....

Being a civilian is fun, but sometimes I miss the guys I spent the last 2 years of my life (for at least 12hrs a day).

But not enough to re-enlist. (Or try to rather, because I'd need a waiver now)

Sounds like a plan

I haven't tried very many proteins actually.

I always used Gold Standard until the OEProtein came out. Ordered cinnabun trutein for a decent price, but next time I'll look around for that.

So, here's what's happening with my training. (which I haven't elaborated on in quite some time).

Upper Rotation: Bench Press (close, comp, wide, chain), Floor Press (band assist, band resist, straight, chain), Board Press (1 board, 2 board, 3 board, chain)

When I do RE days (which is the majority of my Upper work) I use this day as a day in my rotation.

Example: ME I will Bench Press, then RE will be Floor Press, next ME will be Board Press and so on.

When I do DE work, it will not follow this rotation (which is only for ME and RE work) and will just alternate my grips for full Bench Press.

For Lower Rotation: Back Squat (close oly shoe, wide barefoot, chain, band), Deadlift (chain, sumo, conventional), Box Squat (chain, straight, band)

I do the same for this lower as I do for the upper as far as ME/RE, but I expect to start doing more DE work for my lower (although still not much for Upper). For DE I will rotate Squatting/Pulling but there will be times that I do weighted/unweighted box jumps as my main movement on a DE day.

Also, once a week (at least), I will use strongman work as a conditioning/weak point day (probably Friday) and will be implementing certain cleans and OH Squats and things of that nature along with the tire flips/sled/stones/sprints that I do now.

I don't currently rotate specialty bars, because I don't know the combo for those bars at my gym. But I plan to start buying some slowly (starting with a Swiss bar to rotate in for OH and Bench work) and those will just add different variations to the main movements that I currently rotate. Every time I do the movement again (say I bench press on ME this week, and then bench press on RE next week) I will vary something about it (chain, band, hand grip, foot position) to alter the stimulus slightly. This will also help me with my foot/hand position for the competition lifts.

I alternate everything else that I do (assistance wise), but not with as rigid a schedule as I do with the main movements.

For upper the staples are Dips/DB Benches/OHP.

Volume also varies weekly, for the ME days I go 4/3/2 (I only go to singles when I get closer to a competition) for Upper and Lower. DE days are 6-10 sets of 1-3 @50-60% 1RM (less volume at higher percentage, only going as high as I can keep my speed). RE days are 3-5 sets of 6-12 (varying weekly).

So that's what I'm doing now, and that is why. Since I hadn't elaborated on it in so long.

The rotation is a good thing for building strength, no doubt about it. Just don't let the variety come at the expense of technical proficiency on the competition lifts. You'll continue to get stronger, but if you drift away from the competition style squat, bench, and deadlift for too long, you'll only be able to display some, but not all, of your newly gained strength on the platform. That said, if your next competition isn't until December, now is the time to switch things up.

Well, its also worth mentioning, that at my level the technical proficiency won't make as much of a difference as just getting stronger.

But, I agree.

The variety will however, help me with finding the strongest grips/foot placements for my competition lifts.

I agree, you're at a point in your lifting career where you can make leaps and bounds in strength (and therefore your numbers) without improving technique. You bring up a good point about using variety to find where you're strongest, as well. Just give a little extra attention to the comp variations, because as much as getting stronger can make your lifts jump, better technique can make them jump more. I PR'ed 35lbs on deadlift all at once earlier this year when it all clicked, and the same number happened to me on squats after BASL. 70lbs stronger can be a long hard road, but 70lbs in better technique can be quick and easy.

But putting those two together is when you start to hurt some feelings...

Definitely.

I was just telling my wife that we need to get BASL.

I'm just too cheap to get around to buying it, soon though; hopefully.

So, since I'm planning on leaning up some (and ideally recomping) now is the perfect time (and by now I really mean when I complete my R+R log) to run the PES and USP stuff I've been sitting on.

Alphamine, Versa-1, C20, Anabeta (and Elite), F-95, Shift, etc.

So bdcc, its the moment you've been waiting for!

How should I do this?

I was thinking I want to use Prime/Anabeta for 8 weeks leading into a meet (for the strength benefits), probably the December one.

And maybe use my Alphamine (finally) to start leaning up now (with ABE?, or maybe just F-95).

Run it for 4 weeks alone and then add shift for 8 weeks (4 with Alphamine) so that I can get a feel for what they do.

Not sure how to go with C20 so maybe breezy11 can chime in, but the Versa I plan to run independently when I'm leaner (I saw Ace say that its effects are much more pronounced when you're leaner).

This has been a long time coming. :D

I'd probably use Compound 20 with either ABE or F-95 (whichever you don't use with Alphamine) to take advantage of the possible synergy between forskolin and B-agonists (Coop's corner). If you weren't running VERSA-1 solo, that'd be a good combo as well.

Should I wait until I'm a little leaner to run C20? Would it be more noticeable (and have better results) then?

Like after running alphamine and leaning up (hopefully considerably)?

Dude, if Hezbollah starts lobbing missiles at Israel, it could get really bad in a hurry. The Israelis are fcking nuts man...

The thing with Israel is this; they're the little, quiet dude in the bar. Then a couple big guys fawk with him and he turns into this Tasmanian ninja devil and goes scorched earth on the whole bar.

Looking at history, for the life of me I can't understand why people pick fights with Israel.

Syria; Obama needs to save face. He blurted out this BS about a red line, Assad gives 0.0 shyts about this red line, now Obama looks like a jackass as usual. Guess what? Don't say a damn thing other than a blanket condemnation of whatever it is (genocide, bio/chem weapons) you disagree with and leave it at that. That way you're not (by your own perception) on the hook to back your ill-advised words.

However, if we choose to engage, I really wish it'd be to legitimately deter future military action. Our responses are akin to yelling at your teenager from the kitchen, when the deterrent would be slapping the living shyt out of that kid.

I wouldn't say that your results would be better, but if you start leaner they might "look" more impressive. After Alphamine sounds like a solid plan.

Subbed for Jim losing his Alphamine virginity. :D

I think your plan is good in terms of AnaBeta first and then progressing onto Alphamine and Shift.

I have enough AB to run two separate 8 week cycles, and I can start that soon (and be running it into the Oct meet, if I do it) and start alphamine 4 weeks in to run it 4 past the AB.

Should I run shift with alphamine or separately?

As far as erase, I think I want to use that with AB (or ABE).

Not sure if I should use F-95 with AB or separately.....

And I'm back....

Had a good time while I was up there, I hadn't seen him since before I shipped off to BCT, so it was nice to see him again. Planning to go up there later this year and hopefully stay a little longer.

Got in yesterday morning, had my bowling league start last night and then got in the gym this afternoon.

DE Upper: Sept 7

Pre: 1.5 Scoop Jack3d Micro, 4 Caps Max Pump, 1 Scoop Green Magnitude
Intra: 1 Scoop BCAA/SAA

Warm-up: Simple 6, RC work (band and weight)

Banded Bench: 95 x 2 x 2, 115 x 2 x 2, 135 x 2 x 3, 155 x 2 (against 2 AVG Bands)
Invalid Link Removed
Dips: +45 x 8 x 2, +45 x 7

a1. Catback Lat Pull: AVG x 10 x 4
a2. SG High Pull: 135 x 6 x 4

Z Press: 95 x 5, 115 x 5, 135 x 2

Poundstone Curls: Bar x 50

Assistance: Invalid Link Removed
Notes: Wow, those curls were PAINFUL. Got video of everything but the superset today, really liked the Z press and SG HP that I did today. I'll be using those pretty frequently from this point forward. Pouring sweat today, my work capacity didn't seem to take much of a hit with the 2 weeks off. Won't find out til Monday about the strength, but overall I'm feeling good. I expect to be relatively sore tomorrow (especially in the Upper Back) but don't expect that to last long as I start putting down the BCAA/SAA again. Didn't take G8 last night, and won't tonight, because my schedule calls for Fri/Sat off of it. Overall it was a good session.

Pump was STUPID.

I'd run the F-95 when you run the Alphamine, otherwise I like your set up. You could even run the F-95 throughout that whole plan if you wanted.

Shift is the only product of ours I haven't run...so sorry no input on it from me. :o
