Back in the gym today after a brief time away due to work and a few family type obligations. My wife and I will be going to the gym tonight for some upper body stuff and I completed some quad training with a co-worker this morning. Nice routine he picked up from a local bodybuilder he knows. It was all about volume today.

That workout today sucked! All those damn reps burned like crazy and I was stretching constantly in between sets. My arms and shoulders were getting tired holding the bar in place for song long while having to complete all those squats. When I got home I put some ice on my left knee that likes to have an attitude from time to time just as a precaution. Looking forward to the upper body stuff tonight with my woman. Should be good times!
 
My wife and I need to shred off some fat we have put on these past couple months from various celebrations and having our fare share of treats. We have done some training in the past but with our work schedules it had become difficult. Now my work schedule is better and we have more time to do things together so its about time we trim off some fat and get lean again.

The lady doesn't want to put on any more muscle during these next 3-4 months. She is all about cutting her body fat %. I'd like to add another 5lbs of muscle by the end of the year if possible and kill some body fat myself. We both train to be healthy and go more for endurance and strength. More of an athletic build and not to bulky is our comfortable body types and its very important to us that we have a good energy level throughout our work day.

All the measurements were taken cold and we got our body fat using our digital scale. I know its not accurate but as long as it reads a number that is consistent for us then we'll know if there is progress. I'm a little concerned we didn't do our measurements correctly so in the next week or so I will have it checked by someone else.

It was terrible. First it feels easy because the weight is so light then all the burning starts and there is plenty more reps to go. The training felt like punishment.
Those last reps are when gains are made! keep up the good work.

This is going to be a wack post. I went to the gym with my co-worker again this morning to do back and I should have posted about it earlier because now I cannot remember hardly anything detailed about it. There was some pull downs going on, rows, to many damn pull ups (I remember that garbage), one arm pull downs... yaddah yaddah. The training was quality though so I can't complain that work wasn't done.

Then tonight my wife and I went to the gym later this time to attempt getting in after the just got off work crowd. The traffic in there was better but still not good enough. We began on an adjustable bench doing curls, shoulder press and incline chest press circuits but we had to move. To many doodz walking in front of us grabbing dumbbells and I was just getting irritated. We moved over to cables and got more bicep work in with good ol fashion pushups. After that was done we moved to another set of cables for cable crossovers. I love those! Finished up the evening doing shoulder press and chest press using machines and various cables. All the muscle groups we wanted to target got done even though it was an all over the place training night.

Update on the supps I'm using. Switched over to FinaFlex's new Multi and I ditched taking iForce's Fish Oil. Nothing wrong with it, just don't feel like taking more pills and spending any more money on it. I'm going to take a few weeks off PX Black and T-2 for now also. Today is my second day/night using PCT Revolution and I'll use it for the next 4 weeks. Hopefully I get some gains from it. G8 and BCAA/SAA before bed on days I feel like I need it still prove to be effective. I'm only using that on those hard training days when I have time to get a full 8 hrs. Iso-Ology is my stomach's protein of choice. Drop half a frozen banana in there and tastiness happens.

Cycling off of the thyroid boosting type supps is a good practice just like testosterone boosters. The body will eventually get used to other then natural stimulation of the gland and could stay working at a reduced level. Good choice.

The Rev PCT should be a perfect fit here during this time. Stacking with Pure Test would be ideal but alone it will still produce a change in body comp from lowering estrogen and simultaneously raising testosterone.

I already have a tub of DAA that I could use I suppose. Have it left from around Christmas time last year.

That would work. Take the Rev PCT before bed on an empty stomach. I take daa upon waking but if you experience stomach problems like some do with bulk daa then split the dose half in the morning half in the afternoon.
 
That did look good though... I am having Sole and egg whites tonight but then I have my carb meal oats with banana and almond butter with a yam an some broccoli.

Yeah some people have no creative side. With a little bit of thought there are tons of healthy options, but, in our society today as a whole the easiest road is the one most traveled even with people such as ourselfs in the fitness world.

Very nice chest work today and some personal best marks made the day very satisfying. I could have gone heavier on some of those but form is always important and staying safe for injuries always keeps me from getting carried away. Over the past few years of living a healthier lifestyle and lifting I have been told many times not to get crazy with how much weight I'm pulling or pushing. Never felt like I have anything to prove in the gym, probably never will either.

Came home after seeing a movie with my wife to grill up some steaks and noticed the damn package was open! Could not brave to cook it and wake up tomorrow headed off to the emergency room so that was money tossed right into the garbage. Nothing worse than having your mind made up for some grilled steak and having to settle on a sandwich! Boooooooooo

Woke up late this morning due to the clouds fooling me into thinking I woke up earlier than I normally do. Without light creeping into my room I figured it was still around 5am. Looked over at the clock and it was 9am! Those clouds and that G8 had me sleeping for about 9 hrs last night. Can't say I didn't get enough rest. I'm not eating open steak folks! I don't plan to be on CNN.com dead from some kinda back woods beef contamination. Training was on the lighter side today. I stayed home and get some stuff done in the garage gym.

Only Supps today came from BCAA\SAA, sipping along the way.

Waking up feeling rested and never having that beat up feeling. Probably won't have time to train tomorrow with a log work day coming up so Thursday would be back day if all goes well.

I'll get her back on here. Every since we got this new puppy in the house that is all she does with her free time. This little guy follows her all over the house, into the restroom, into the closet, he took my spot in the bed and he'll probably be eating my dinner soon. Thanks for reading our log. Our legs felt like wet noodles while we worked on chest and it was plenty of laughs tonight. There was some wobbles and lots of stretching going on. I'm going to go in the kitchen right after I click the submit button to shake up some G8 and BCAA/SAA to ensure I get a decent night sleep to recover. There was no time to cook a cool dinner tonight so I ended up eating some turkey deli meat and little slices of 2% cheddar rolled up in between slices. Not so sure on the health benefits of a grape but I ate a handful just cause they tasted good. Off to bed folks!
 
Quick update for this log. On Monday I forgot to post my training. It was another day of legs with my co-worker, nothing special so whatever.

I decided to take a few days off this week for a couple reasons. Every couple months I prefer to get a stim break and the plan was to get back on PX Black next week so I decided to cut out all Pre Workout supps as well. My wife and I planned a few dates nights for us earlier in the week because we have both been so busy lately and now it has turned into date week. It's either a date at home over a good dinner or finding a healthy place outside of the house. So far all week it has been wake up, go to work, go on a date and repeat! Good ol fashion hand holding and acting like a married couple. The training will pick back up either Saturday night or Sunday morning. We'll be well rested and ready to get back into again feeling strong and mentally refreshed.

Back in the gym today after a 5 day rest period. My left knee felt much better tonight and I also felt good about taking that stim break. I started back up on the PX Black today and will continue to use that for about 4 weeks then I'll leave those alone for a month or two. My wife and I had few cheat items last week. Decided to jump onto some desserts so she would not kill me in my sleep but I would be lying if I didn't say I enjoyed a few of them also. Now its back to the grind of no desserts and just the healthy eating and quality training I really do enjoy.

We got this week started of with legs tonight. Sunday night in the gym is wonderful. NO CROWDS!

Same here. Ray Donovan is one of our favorite new shows. We don't watch to much TV since there is so much trash (reality) TV on now. Ray needs to keep his ass home though, his kids are going to become a mess.

For some reason I never posted my training from yesterday. The entire day felt like a rush from one thing to the next and I just never stopped to rest and just recap my day. On a good note, the work inside the gym went excellent. My co-worker and I did back and biceps. We completed various movements and kept the rep range about 8-12 depending on failure. After weights we jumped on the row machine and put in 10 minutes there. Crazy forearm pump leaving the gym making it hard to drive home.

Today I had to train alone. My wife has been working these crazy long shifts! Poor lady came home and after we ate dinner she fell asleep on the couch. She is still in there passed out. For anyone who is married probably understand this. DON'T TRY AND WAKE HER UP! She'll rise at some point and stagger into the bedroom.

Another good day of training today. I can't wait for it to cool off so I can go run outside again. It's suppose to cool off next week, we shall see. Tonight's dinner was also excellent. I cooked up some Mahi Mahi, Sea Bass, Potatoes and Broccoli. Completely forgot to take a pic and post it. Maybe its because I was to focused on putting it on a plate to devour it. My left knee started to hurt again today so maybe it's time to look for some new running shoes.

The guilt of not taking my dogs on a run for over a week came over me this morining so we all hit the road. We are still teaching this puppy how to run/walk on a leash so we need to be more consistent about taking them both of several times per week. Depending on how the energy level is tonight after work I may get in there for a late niter.

My wife and I have some days off coming up next week and I cannot wait. We'll be able to get in the gym all week together and our training log will have more of both of us in it.
