Sean's Powerlifting Journey

Ya I prefer 75-100mg of forskolin. Also, it is better for extended use (8-12 weeks).

That food pic up there is glorious. I went out to a new rotisserie chicken place last night and had an epic meal. :D

Hm I'll hang out at 75mg and get another bottle or 2 then and run it longer like you both say.

I ****ing love rotisserie chicken. Dark and white meat, tons of protein, lots of tasty fat, finger food, no cooking involved.

Interesting. Is this for weightless or other effects?

Ya I was beyond tired of cooking all my food and I hadn't gone out to eat in forever. They had these epic beans with some beef in it too....I almost passed out 5 minutes after I ate it all.

The higher dose increases the testosterone benefits IME. 50mg is plenty for ample fat loss benefits though.

Off day diet:

M1-
8oz steak tips
1 chicken sausage
Fiber bar

M2-
8oz breaded chicken...my kid had it for lunch
Some olive oil & cracked pepper triscuits

M3-
Qdoba salad, no shell, black beans and corn, x2 chicken, x2 steak "really meaty" as they called it

M4-
Chicken lettuce wraps and Mongolian beef (not PF changs, some Chinese place that uses fresh everything)

Probablt something else

That's about the lowest I've ever had carbs I think

Pinched nerve in hip. Possible?

Yup. Where in hip? Nerve damage sucks so I am hoping for you it's not. More like impingement than a true "pinch" get some ice. Don't over stretch or really at all, just general movement. Goal is to reduce inflammation causing the pressure on the nerve if that's it.

What actually happened?
Feel something Pop or flip or is it just general tightness??

I'd recommend seeing a Chiro who does active release therapy.
It helped immensely when I tore mine.

Not a nerve. You would know. Probably something like a micro tear from last session that left you tight.

Nothing happend. Just been tight. Slught pinch on the side where the meat for my butt starts. Ive lacked the extra mobility work, regardless of how much I said I need it, work and life has gotten in the way. I'll go see a Chiro wed if it isn't better.

Cube Method - Speed Pulls

Sumo Deadlift
365x10x1 30' between pulls

Straight Bar Good mornings
225x10x2
275x8x2

Walking DB Lunges
50x8x4

Whole mess load if hanging leg raises.

I already mentioned my hips. It didnt effect my work out but it's just a dull pinch type feeling. I'll see how it does over the next couple days. My workout was left to be done in under an hour so I breezed through it. Floor pressing tomorrow. Diet & hydration has been kind of off today from work. Oh well.

I tried to sumo my block pulls today and it felt awful. Guess I'm officially converted.

My left hip was feeling tight today too....and I am probably dehydrated from how hot it was in the gym. Blahhhh

Hope your hip isn't anything serious.

Comes out tomorrow

I was battling some gnarly hip impingement a few weeks back. I focused on psoas release, rolled my thighs and groin constantly, used a baseball to loosen up the glutes, and made sure to constantly stretch my glutes, hip flexors, and quads. I did some transverse core work as well, but not sure how much that helped.

Thanks for that man. The more and more I move around, I think it's a mobility issue, considering the random switch to sumo. Was too busy at home with mini-me and doing stuff for work, it let me neglect doing the mobility work I had wanted to.

Glad you mentioned psoas release. I found this gem or an article just now Invalid Link Removed

It didn't effect my pulls at least. I focused on driving my hips into the bar more and it helped my torso remain more upright and had more of a pop off the floor.

Biggest thing that helped with my hip impingement was barbell mashing my entire leg/groin.

So, it's definetly the psoas. Lower back-ish, I feel it when I walk. Did some foam rolling but that of course didnt work. I'm on duty and don't have access to anything else. May go off base this evening to a store and grab a ball to try to self release it by laying on it and some stretches for it. If that doesn't work, I've contacted 2 sport massage therapy places to go into tomorrow when I'm off.

That's a bitch of a muscle. Just do your release, some guy smash technique if you have a medicine ball or something, some door or couch stretches and the Defranco thing. I taped a lacross ball to curtain rod to mimic the theracane lol.

Hide the pain face if you get it done professionally man.

Jackpot. Big boy squatter at my gym is a sports therapist. Told me to swing by his place whenever and he'll take care of it.

If I worked in a therapy/chiro/massage place, I'd be limber like Gumby every freakin day.

Scribd friends, do you guys subscribe to this service/pay the price? For some reason I thought it was free.\EDIT: nevermind, I see it.

When I hang from my inversion table, I can reach in and play with my psoas. It's not fun.

lol Jesus....

Thank you for your insight Nomz. I'll hang from the inversion table tonight. Right now I feel like I can just fix it with a buncha stretching. We'll see. Appointment tomorrow with sports masseuse lady for 50 bucks.

My chiro where we just moved from had an AMAZING lady that did that. She was a "muscle therapist" (hated the terms massage or masseuse), and she loosened up tightness I didn't even know I had.

Psoas, IT, QL and piriformis were the major offenders for me.

Nice. She's specialized in athletes or whatever...been emailing her today. She thinks it could possibly be gl minimus or medius instead of the psoas, but that could be the culprit as well.

I'm hanging upside down this second. Feels pretty good actually. My feet are stuck though

Edit: Just got my left hip fixed. Working on the right. Just tightness now.

New 5/3/1 is pretty awesome. I might actually switch back to it after my week off. Napalm, it's worth it for ya because it his on the PLing side of it a lot more.

Edit-My only issue is that I don't have raw numbers now (still contemplating continuing with gear)
