Alcohol is deadlier than guns. Here in America we lost 10,000 lives on drunk driving incidents alone in 2012...and all the domestic violence, liver disease, etc....

Unlike guns which dont kill people, alcohol does kill people.

McCrew, I actually don't want to keep debating to tell you the truth. I just wanted to post those funny videos from a comedy show from your country. It's nothing to do with attention and I have a beautiful wife I wake up to every morning who gives me all the attention I need. Wow I didn't realise 9am was so early.

I spend plenty of time during the week in the gym I don't dedicate my weekends there as well. You've really got no idea whatsoever about anything do you.

Once again, you resort to name calling. I have been nothing but civil to you.

A gun is designed to do a job. Some to kill as for military, hunting or self defense. Some are made for sport as in target shooting competitions. Perhaps you have seen some of these that are designed for target shooting in the Olympics. There are many different types of competitions for shooting and each uses a variety of different guns that are usually customized for that event. Saying that all guns are made to kill is completely absurd. What about a bow and arrow? A person can lose several arrows fairly fast and not make very much noise at all. Maybe it's just the fact that their a little bit hard to conceal that nobody has an issue with them. Or how about blow-guns? Easy to conceal, easy to use and easy to make your own gun and ammo. Why, it's even easy to get something poisonous to dip the tip of the darts in. You can even reuse the darts!

10,000 from drunk driving alone....add in all the other alcohol related deaths. Regardless if guns may be slightly higher, your promoting a dangerous substance as if its all cool and nothing wrong with it.

Well, you can rip the beer can open and use it to slit someones throat and kill them.

It causes people to be irresponsible murderers by getting behind the wheel of a 2,000+ pound projectile and smashing it into innocent victims including children. We lost about as many people with drunk driving in my country as we did gun related deaths.

It also causes people be fueled to engage in domestic violence, this is a really serious issue in our country. People drink, get mad violent and kill people, their chain of thought is warped under the influence.

Ive seen heavy acts of violence myself including gang murder at a club all fueled by alcohol.

You live such a double standard, your really contradicting yourself.

MOST of the murders mentioned above would have been done with a gun, you take away guns you reduce the murder rate. Yes people can murder by other means, but a gun is the easiest and quickest way. You can't unrun a bullet

Ok, so you blame the weapon and not the alcohol as the root of the cause.

Ill get on the same page as you then, lets ban cars. You let people drink whatever, but everyone should loose the right to drive because you dont know who drinks or not. And besides all in all we lose 30,000-40,000 deaths every year in overall traffic accidents.

Also, they are used as murder tools...a lady in a local city here in new york committed suicide by driving her car into the hudson river with her 3 kids making cars officially a murder tool!

No no no I'm not dismissing the root of the cause, there is still other issues at play like mental illness which need to be worked on. But as I've said a million times, when these people with problems or who are drunk or whatever have easy access to guns that are designed to kill people, then people get killed.

And well actually in Australia if you get caught drink driving you do lose your license.

Why arent you calling out for the ban of alcohol then? Whats your problem? You love your alcohol so you dodge any though of its ban, you are being completely irresponsible to your society.

Drink driving contributes to over 30% of fatal road crashes.
