No no no I'm not dismissing the root of the cause, there is still other issues at play like mental illness which need to be worked on. But as I've said a million times, when these people with problems or who are drunk or whatever have easy access to guns that are designed to kill people, then people get killed.
And well actually in Australia if you get caught drink driving you do lose your license.
You keep bringing up all these useless statistics about accidental deaths which have nothing to do with guns that are designed to kill on purpose. There is no comparison.
You sound like those ignorant people like Larry Pratt, Jesse Ventura, and the extremely ignorant Alex Jones.
Why arent you calling out for the ban of alcohol then? Whats your problem? You love your alcohol so you dodge any though of its ban, you are being completely irresponsible to your society.
They take your licesnse away? What a joke, Your country is full of 10's of thousands of irresponsible drunks.
Obviously, although in Australia your license get taken away, you guys still drinking and killing people.
The solution would be only to take away the car.
Take away the car and take away the murder....let people continue to drink, this is in line with your philosophy.

Drink Driving Campaign
Drink & Drive and You Deserve It!
Drink driving contributes to over 30% of fatal road crashes.
In 2010, 29% of all fatalities had a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of over 0.05g/mL. This also included 21% of fatalities with a BAC 3 times over the legal limit (greater than 0.15g/100mL).
In Western Australia in 2010/11, 17,103 drivers were tested by police and found to exceed the alcohol limit. Previous research has shown of these, approximately 60% were under 30 years of age.
Statistics also show that intoxicated drivers who are involved in fatal crashes are 3 times more likely to have been speeding or not wearing a seatbelt than sober drivers.
