So much dedication to the Iron game that you even go when you're sick. Get better soon brother

Still putting up a solid workout when not feeling 100%, I'm not overly surprised. You're a machine! King of keeping your head jn the game

Thanks brother. I'd probably feel worse missing a workout.

Get better Breezy :D

Thanks man. I'm feeling decent now.

I noticed that when I didn’t take the time to set up my stance properly, there were some issues. I’ll keep it narrow next week if I do these again.

I cut the video time down a little, but it’s still pretty long.

Your leg days amaze me dude lol

Haha thanks brother. A tough leg workout has always been my favorite.

...so you were wheeled out of the gym? Damn that is an insane leg workout...

Thanks wasme. Lol I walked, but not very well. I wasn't sure I'd make it when I realized there was plenty left to do after squats.

Go B's!!!

Thanks fumoney. I'm feeling better, but not 100%. I'll take some PowerFULL shortly and hopefully sleep this off.

You guys better beat the pens. The one team I can't stand even more than the rangers. Good luck!

Awesome to hear that you recovered. Nice workout as always

After hearing from DW about his carb up earlier today, I've been craving some ice cream. The real stuff will have to wait until Wednesday, but I just made my biggest batch to date.

Invalid Link Removed

1.5 scoops PB Marshmallow protein
1.5 scoops PB Chocolate protein
3 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk

I left out the Greek yogurt to keep the carb content down. It wasn't as creamy as it would've been, but was still delicious. I tried something new while making it as well. I took the ice cream bag out of the ice filled bag as it started to freeze and "massaged" it before it was completely frozen. Then I put the ice cream bag back in the ice filled bag and shook for another minute. This made the consistency the same throughout and prevented "extra frozen" corners and ice crystals.

That's a good looking snack !
I would definitely think about venturing out with the food ideas. You have so many.

Thanks fumoney! I love to cook whenever possible. This low/no carb diet has limited my options, but got me thinking of new ideas. I can't wait for my Vanilla Ice Cream OxyElite Protein to arrive, as I have a few things I'd like to make with it. I'll either post the recipes in here or make a separate thread for what I come up with.

I am glad to hear leaving out the greek yogurt was fine. I am going to attempt it with 2 scoops of protein and 1.5 c of fat free milk and see how that works out. I think the last time I made it I had a bit of cross contamination as my ice cream was salty lol

Yeah, I don't think most people add the Greek yogurt; that was something I had tried and thought it really improved the consistency. The milk should help with the creaminess. Haha make sure you rinse the bag off, especially where it seals, before taking the ice cream out.

5/27/13

Not having to wake up early the last couple of days has really helped me get back to normal. I had another great night of uninterrupted sleep and woke up feeling good. I’m currently between cookouts and have just enough time for an update.

Today’s back session was tough. However, my energy, focus, and endurance were all great, which helped me power through a solid workout. My back is currently toast and it feels great.

One-Arm BB Row
2 warm-up x8
100x8
100x8
100x8
100x8

-25lb plates used for increased stretch/ROM

-I really focused on the stretch with these. I try to keep my hip on the side closest to the bar raised a few inches higher than my other hip. This angle can help “pre-stretch” your lower lat and allow you hit the entire lat with the movement.

Here’s my final set. My form started to fade a little, but it’s an ok example. I recorded an earlier set from a different angle, but there was a bar blocking the view.

Explosive Deadlift
135x3
225x3
315x3

315x10
335x8
365x5

Challenge Set
385x5, 315x8, 225x12

-I took a different approach with these today. I had planned on sets of 10, but decided to add a little more weight while maintaining good explosiveness on all reps. The challenge set was torture and it took me a few minutes before I could move on.

DB Pullover (lying on bench)
55x12
55x12
55x12

Stretchers
120x8
120x8
130x8
130x8

-The stretch felt amazing after all of the previous work.

Banded Hyperextensions
20
15

-increased resistance on second set

That ice cream looks and sounds amazing!!

Thanks brother! It was great. I'll be making more tonight after passing on all the desserts available today.

I've still yet to make any of your Ice cream recipes. I've planned on it just keep forgetting!

I'd give it a shot soon man. It's a solid option when I'm craving sweets and staying low carb. Should be great with the new protein you just picked up. ;)

I tried and ended up with sour tasting ice pops. (Too much liquid and yogurt I presume). No one ever....ever confused me with a cook.

lmao... first time I made it it turned out great, the second time I did not enjoy a bowl of salty ice cream lol

At least you call yours ice cream. Haha. Mine was like Popsicles.

...I am going to have to try these Deadlift Challenge sets... looks crazy..

It's awful lol. Feels great once you recover from it though.

Too much plain Greek yogurt could make it a little sour. If you aren't afraid of some sugar, vanilla Greek yogurt makes the taste and consistency awesome.

Breezy you should probably make a video about this protein ice cream

Maybe someday. I think I learned how to make it from a YouTube video. I'm not sure if you've seen it, but I already have a thread that goes through the process and has pictures of each step.

And sell it to the food network!

That'd be nice.

Tonight's batch came out perfect, using the same method as yesterday. I only had a 1/4 scoop of PB Chocolate protein left, so it was pretty much just PB Marshmallow (basically tastes like pb).

What brand are those protein? I have some dymatize elite gourmet pb chocolate on the way

Also I can't seem to find your thread can you post the link

Sick back workout breezy, and your ice cream is bomb looking :D. Still have to master getting mine to look like yours though.

PB Chocolate is Giant Sports and PB Marshmallow is Cellucor.

No problem.

Thanks kbayne. You can do it man. All you have to do is shake the bag until it gets to that consistency .

I was going to give this a try with fat free strawberry Greek yogurt, and strawberry powder. And you are totally right, plain greek yogurt does add a flavor (and too much is overpowering)

Would this work ok with one of those ice cream makers? Do you ever re-use the bag of salt/ice or start fresh each time?

Should be tasty. I've done a lot of different combos in the past. Strawberry banana chobani with choc banana protein and vanilla and/or honey chobani with cinnabun protein are 2 that I remember liking a lot.

I don't know if you could use Greek yogurt, but you can make it with almond milk in an ice cream maker. From what I've seen, it gives you soft serve and a big mess to clean up. I think The Solution has a video on here making some. I start fresh. A lot of the ice melts by the time it's done.

Like the idea of soft serve, but not the mess. That is one thing about this recipe that is great.. all mess is contained - very easy clean up.

Have a good day man.
