Need Help Please!!!

OK so I live with 4 other guys. One of my room mates has some protein that tastes extremely salty, like down right nasty. He is convinced that some one messed with his protein and is throwing a hissy fit. I think he just got a bad batch be he has his heart set on foul play. Has anyone had anything similar happen to them with a protein or is my room mate right in his assumption?
