VERSA-1, Compound20, SS Forskolin-95 (8 weeks)

Yea well you got it way worse than me man hang in there

Thanks bud. Sitting in my car so I can use my phone for entertainment is keeping me sane for now. I'll be thrilled if I can get to the gym later.

Day 42

Things are looking up. I got a hot tip on where to find gas lol, got a ride, and filled up a couple cans with 5 gallons worth. I even saw a few trucks from an out of state utility company not far from home.

I'm gonna hit the gym shortly and pray that they're actually working on the power situation while I'm gone. I might hold off on legs for today because I'm not sure if I'm mentally prepared for it with everything else going on. I'll see what happens when I get there.

Hope all goes well man! At least the gym will help u stay sane for a bit. I'm in PA and we got so lucky we only ended up with a few inches. Loosing power sucks. When hurricane sandy came through we lost power for a week and that sucked big time!! Glass half full man!! Have a great work out. Also, thanks for tossing up some of those exercise videos. I added some new exercises to my routine. Good looking out!!!

Thanks man. I can't wait to get in the gym. It's only been a few days without it, but it feels like weeks. I can only imagine how awful that must've been. I really hope it doesn't get to that point around here, but stuff happens. No problem brother. I'm loving the exercises as well.

Breezy if ur interested I'm running a log with Versa in my PCT as well.

I can't post links yet but here is it broken up so u can find it if ur interested.

Also, I noticed that I am constantly looking forward to the gym more so now that I've been on Versa then before I started Versa. I saw that u posted that its only been a few days but couldn't wait to get into the gym. I'm wondering do u feel that extra drive on Versa?

I feel that Versa may being giving me an edge by increasing my motivation...

Where do you live Breezy?

Hey classic. I'm immediately south of Boston currently, but will be moving back to the city soon.

Thanks man. I'll definitely check out the log...might not be until I get power back though.

I actually do have some extra drive with V-1. I think the increased focus/mind-muscle connection leads to solid workouts, which helps achieve solid results, which is always highly motivational. It really makes my gym experience a lot of fun and I'm always looking forward to it.

Day 42 continued

I got in a decent shoulder workout. I didn't record my numbers because I was in a rush and my phone would've died anyway (that's how I track workouts normally). My focus wasn't as great as it usually is because I was thinking about getting home and starting a fire before it got dark...I didn't make it in time lol. Either way it felt good to get out and do something normal.

I'm way behind on calories for the day. I've only had a shake early this morning and another after my workout. I'm going to see what I can come up with shortly and probably have another shake before I call it a night.

Way to deal with your tough situation and put in a workout. Hope things get better for you as you guys dig out of this snow storm,

Glad you were able to get the training in.

What do you use to track your workouts. I carry around a notebook. Do you have an "App for that" or do u just toss it in a notes section of you phone?

Thanks Fumoney. I got work off tomorrow and will hopefully get to the gym in the morning. From what I've heard power should be back sometime Tuesday.

Glad you were able to get the training in.

Thanks man. It felt great.

I actually do use an app. It's a pretty popular one called Jefit. There's a free version and I recommend checking it out. It has an extensive exercise list and you can add custom ones as well. I have my whole current program laid out on there along with past ones I've done. It's a great way to track any progress.

Day 43

I woke up and got out of the house fast. I dropped my friend off at work and am about to give some fasted training a try. I'm not sure if I've ever done this before (besides cardio) and I'm hoping I have decent energy/strength. I had 2 scoops each of Micro/Protocol V2 with a cap of Versa-1, Forskolin-95, and 2g ALCAR on the ride to the gym. I'll be sipping on 3 scoops of Modern BCAA intra workout...and there's snow/sleet coming down lol.

Good log so far buddy. I'm curious on your Alcar dosing. Do you always take all 2g pre workout? Have u tried spreading it out?

Thanks man. I usually use the 2g pre workout, mainly for a little added focus. I've tried different dosing options, but that's how I prefer to use it the majority of the time. Another time I've used it in the past is first thing in the morning (1g) with Agmatine and Na-R-ALA and again in the afternoon. Both times being before a high carb meal.

Got it. This is my first time using Alcar and I'm trying to find out what best worked for people. The way u running it seems to be the most logical way if focus is something you really want while working out and who doesn't right? Lol. I appreciate it big man.

Day 43 continued

Fasted training went very well. Strength and endurance were both great. I did feel a tiny bit of nausea towards the end of my workout, but I think that was more related to the intensity of my routine.

I didn't record my numbers again, but I did the following exercises for a total of 20 sets.

Meadows Rows
Smith rest-pause Rows
Stretchers
Neutral Grip Pulldowns
DB Shrugs
Horizontal Shrugs
Good Mornings

-I added in neutral grip pulldowns, which felt great following the stretchers. Huge pump.

-Hyperextensions would've been a decent wait, so I threw in good mornings. I hadn't done them in a long time and I'm glad I did. They finished off the workout nicely.

-I got some additional lower back work in the parking lot pushing some guys Mazda Miata that he decided to park in 6 inches of snow :)

I'm going to take advantage of the daylight and try to cook up some meat on the stove top. The liquid diet is getting old and calories have been down.

Sorry to anyone who has a log going that I'm following. I haven't ventured out of my own lately due to having no power and limited battery on my phone.

Back workout fasted !!!!
Meadow style to say the least !!!!

Breezy has officially gone nutso due to lack of heat and food.

Gotta hand it to you. You don't let anything affect your training. That's why it's fun to follow along.

Great job !

I haven't completely lost my mind yet, but I see it as a possibility lol.

Thanks as always Fumoney! If I didn't have the gym as an option right now things would be a lot worse. It's a nice break from everything else going on.

I just had a big meal consisting of pancakes, waffles, a bagel, eggs, chicken sausage, and ground beef (all gluten free). Solid food FTW! I used 2 caps of AP about 30mins before the carb assault.

damn breezy. damn.

Haha damn . There's currently a utility crew putting up a new pole at the end of my street. I'm not going to get too excited yet though.

...and then there was light! I was just sitting in the dark wondering how much longer I should wait before trying to go to bed and...boom! I've got tha power!

I'm so ridiculously happy right now.

Good to hear!

Not yet. Given the weather situation, I decided to hold tight here in the south for a few more days until all that nasty weather is long gone.

Yeah, I love electricity.

Sounds like a smart move. How's the adventure been so far?

Morning fasted workout. YIKES!!! I'm not into morning workouts to begin with but damn you plowed through it fasted. Bonus to u man.

And damn nice eats there. I noticed while on Versa when I have a cheat day and eat crazy like that all my muscle full up solid and I get pumped up doing nothing and feel like a beast. Also I noticed the scale goes up 5 pounds in 2 days lol.

Hope that poll get you the electric you need.

Also, wanted to let you know that I posted my latest experiences in my log today. Today is day 12 for me an the magic has started for me. Today I felt great all day, alpha feeling, focus at gym, excellent pumps, and weights increased. So 12 days was my magic number and I'm looking forward to continued success. I posted up my workout and diet summary for today.

Good luck with everything man!

Thanks man. I probably won't be doing it again anytime soon, but it went very well.

The meal was amazing, especially since I'd basically been living off protein shakes for the last couple days. I've been seeing improved muscle fullness as well, which I believe is coming from a combination of supps that I'm currently using. Ever since I got over an infection a couple weeks ago, there's been a big improvement with it and my weight has gone up as well (unless I lost some the last couple days).

Power is back! Thanks.

I actually just read through and subbed to your log. It's good to see that you're off to a great start. Around 2 weeks in is when I started noticing some of what you mentioned as well. It looks like you're set up for a solid run.

Thanks again.

Great news breezy... back to modern day life for you!

Great news indeed. It's a wonderful feeling. I guess some people in the area are still looking at a few more days in the dark.

Yeah, I love electricity.

I hear you there! Haha. That's great you're back and running. Not for training or anything but just life in general.

It's been solid, logged about 2,800mi to this point. Had some fun, no doubt. Didn't get to do everything I wanted to but pretty damn close!

Sure is. I got to sleep without 2 pairs of pants and a hoodie on last night.

That's awesome man. I'd like to drive across the country someday. The biggest road trip I've been on was down to Florida back when I was in high school. I went with 2 of my buddies in a Mustang with basically no back seat. It wasn't the most comfortable ride lol.

Day 44

I'm going to be doing some fasted training once again. I don't really have much food in the house, so I figured I'd give it another shot. Maybe I'll just start IF haha (kinda serious). The way my schedule is now, it's really the first time I might be able to pull it off. I'll see if I can make it a day or two first.

I'll be taking the following pre workout (I don't normally have a problem with any of these on an empty stomach):

1 cap Versa-1
1 cap AP
1 cap Forskolin-95
2 caps C20
2g ALCAR
2 scoops Micro/2 scoops Core ABC

2 scoops Modern BCAA will be used intra workout

1 cap each of Forskolin-95 and Agmatine 500 will be used towards the very end of my workout. I'll have a whey/GlcoMyx shake not long after the gym and a big meal about an hour later with AP prior.

I quickly came up with all of this a minute ago lol. I'll reassess everything later today.

Glad things are returning to "normal". You are probably the only person who would continue a log in the middle of that chaos.

Thanks bolt. It actually made things a little easier for me. It was one of the few "normal" things I was able to do (except I had to go out to my car most of the time haha).

I don't remember if you've ever tried IF. How'd that go if you have?

Ended with my profile pic.

Was actually all hardcore against it, but I force myself to try things in the sake of improvement and it went great. I routinely skip breakfast when I have very early morning clients but don't really limit myself to a set feeding window. Actually am doing very similar to the Lean Gains approach (16/8) right now in attempt to shed a little fat and will probably go all out with it again before summer for my next cut. It just works with my schedule. ;)

Cool. Thanks for sharing :). I've never considered it before either, but am curious to see what I notice, and my schedule could make it possible (I think). 16/8 is what I'm going to shoot for as well, but I'm not going to stress over it. I'm planning my first real cut in the next couple months and will stick with it depending on this little trial run. I've got a bunch of Alphamine and some ABE that I plan on using. I'll probably include TPwder, EPro, C20, and V-1 along the way as well...I'm just thinking out loud haha.

My run with IF sucked but there wasn't fasted training bc of my schedule. People have had awesome results with the FTP protocol (same principles) but looking like that make have to work when I finally settle in with a 1-9 work schedule.

Very interested breezy, Bolt you give me hope bc I'm in the exact same camp as you brother!

I'll just say I am only using Protocol, V-1 and Alphamine right now and its been a great 2 weeks so far. :D

I'm going to look more into the FTP protocol later today. I'll definitely keep you updated. I'll probably just start a training log when I wrap this up.

Good to hear. I was planning on asking you how that was going soon. I don't really have anything set up for my cut yet, but I think it'll be 2+ months.

Hey Breezy, quick question (hopefully not a stupid one).. what does the AP do for you preworkout on and empty stomach. I have two bottles that I am about to crack open, but was under the impression AP is best used 30 minutes prior to meals?

Good question wasme ;). I'll still use it before meals daily, but it has other benefits as well. Here's some good info:

I'm off to the gym.

I love FTP with AP... I do it year round almost except for my current log, I wanted to use up my ssv1 I had lying around. AP is my favorite hands down. Using for fasted training it really helps burn fat for fuel when in a depleted glycogen state / deplete any excess glycogen much faster during the workout allowing you to enter a lypolitic state much quicker... I usually will lift , then similar to how breezy is doing the agmatine and forsklin intra workout, I'll do that with AP- about 15-20 minutes prior to my end of workout cardio- so roughy 40 minutes prior to end of workout- then post workout I take my recoverpro andan hour later have a huge post workout meal with AP prior to that as well!

AP is far superior IMO . In fact I attribute my recent mild fat gain to dropping AP and using ssv1 over the last 4 weeks. I start AP again Friday . No dietary changes were made btw
