Off beat muscle foods

**** yeah. Plus the protein in each stick is like 10 grams. String cheese is amazing

Not mine. Only 5g over here...

Truth. I never know what to eat it with. I've tried everything from sweets like brown sugar to garlic quinoa. That light semi nutty flavor kinda goes with anything

Now I use cooked quinoa and apple sauce as a light breakfast pre workout. Also use it as protein in shakes. I buy no more protein powder whole food only.

Hmmm mines 9 grams , just under ten, maybe brand wise? Although I guess these are decently sized cheese sticks..

What brand?

So much bro-science in this thread...aside from Coop and Frank Reynolds that is :/...I eat sugars, muffins , fruits, juice, heck even chocolate...I got rid of the "eat clean" mentality ¬¬' no difference, still have gains...less steess and far tastier. Just keep your macro's in track, and kCalories in the range you want them and voila ¬¬' no matter where the macros come from as long as you don't go over the kCalories and Macronutrient numbers for your goals...

In that note...just have a good amount of fruits and veggies for micros...and chocolate...loads of chocolate and coffee...Reason? Yum....!!!

Wheres the broscience? all I see is people posting up what they like to eat.

If I were loaded, my diet would consist of lobster/crab/shrimp + exotic fatty fishes (swordfish rocks) served with exotic sauteed veggies. It is not only absolutely delicious but the macros (very high protein), fat sources (epa/dha), and micronutrients (veggies) are to die for. The downside? Cost. But I can imagine bodybuilding would be very easy for the rich man.

Baked Beans (sauce washed off) :)
Adds a nice protien boost to meals and good quality carbs.
I wouldn't eat them on their own for the protien...but when combined with good quality meat or whey...its all good.

I also liked chicken tenders, dipped in egg white, then wholemeal bread crumb mix (onion powder, pepper, garlic powder and cajun seasoning) for healthy crumbed chicken.

Broscience is his favorite word.

Black beans, great northern and red kidney all are great, 8g fiber good source of vitamins and slight protein! Ive cooked 3 seperate batches of chili in the last two weeks.. bulk mode :D

I would think sweet potatos have more nutrients than a standard white potato...
But I'll have to double check....

What I've been doing lately is having my frequent feedings a day...works for me as I don't like that stuffed bloat feeling. More power to the I.F.'ers.

I usually have a lean protein source veggies w/a shake... About 50g of protein per meal... The rest I feel in with snacks & that makes up a lot of my carbs, that and break and carbs around my work outs.

Heart, kidneys and liver. Especially the liver has been known to be a strength building food ever since hunting was invented :).

Yeah man I take beef liver tablets. Great source of b12 and aminos!

I've been trying to find them here, but without results. I just eat it every once in a while.

Just get them offline pretty sure I got mine for no more than 10 bucks for a big ol bottle. Each serving has 3 grams of protein and enough b12 for a horse.

Sure we all know chicken, sweet potato brown rice etc but I thought what about a thread with a bunch of foods people might not know about to help add variety to the mundane muscle diet.
Found some 'no yolk' egg noodles made with wheat and egg whites with 8 grams of protein per serving. Can't be beat!

Maybe liver??? good source of vitamin A too apparently :)

Is this the same thing as uniliver by universal?

I really have to say Uniliver is my favorite supplement when it comes to amino complex blends. Not only does it come from a pure and noteable source of grassfed cows its amino profile tops the charts because of the specific organ the supplement is derived from.

Cruciferous vegetables like: broccoli, kale, bok choy, cabbage, brussels sprouts, and cauliflower.

These should not be considered "off the beaten path" but definitely a viable source of vitamins and minerals and food complex low glycemic carbs that would favor a low carb diet. I think these veggies are neglected too frequently as many people grab for green beans to complete their diet plans
