Getting Cheeky and Testy with intraTest Xtreme

Ya I must have. Plus I had a massage on Sunday so I really did a number on them and it feels good.
I love getting my muscles stripped out by a good massage therapist. It hurts while it's being done but it feels so much better afterwards and it loosens them up nice too.
 
Did work today!
I did Calves, Abs, and Delts.


Started with 20 minutes of LISS on the treadmill.


-HS Calf Press, loaded up 12 plates on this sucker
compound setted with:
-HS Seated Calf Raises


Then changed it up a bit and did


-FreeMotion Single leg calf press
compound setted with:
-HS Seated Calf Raises


Then did a ab/low back circuit


-Standing Ab crunch


-Back Extension Machine #1


-Ab machine #2


-Back Extension #2


-Ab machine #3


repeated 3 times




-Paramount Shoulder press-sucked


-Nautilous shoulder press-good


-Nautilous side lateral raises


-Shoulder Press


-DB lateral raises


Ended up being there for about 2 and a half hours today. Took my intratest just now and will dose it pre tomorrow.
 
Today was legs which sucked because I did basketball last night for an hour and a half. They felt fine at first but then the squats told my knees that they were going to be punished.

I did---

-Squats

-Leg Press

-Leg Extensions

-Laying Hamstring Curls

The end.

hour and a half of b-ball day before legs...one or the other would be bad enough for my poor old knees!!!

Oh man, it killed my knees so bad! I couldn't go very heavy on quad stuff. I gotta plan this stuff better!

Then did a giant set like so


-Preacher Curls

-Single Arm Bicep Curls on nautilus
-Machine preacher curls
-Underhand cable tricep extensions
-Tricep rope pushdowns


no rest in between and 4 sets of it. Holy crap my arms got extremely pumped and kinda ache now


-Dips

-Single arm bicep curls


We did a total of 34 sets for arms today.

For my preworkout, I took my intratest with Opus. This combo didn't really mix too well but seemed to work well.
 
i found this old[circa 70's] wieder 'arm blaster' at a yard sale for $5...it fits around the neck and has a chest piece that kinda locks arms in place for curls, i love it.


google arm blaster and check it out...
 
Today I inflicted much pain. Back and abs were the target.

-FreeMotion Lat Pulldowns

-DB Rows
did some nice heavy sets here and used my verssa gripps to get a couple sets in with 130 pounders.

-Lat Pulldowns with a weird "U" shaped handle

-Lat Pulldowns with a parallel grip handle

-Lat Pulldowns with a wide grip

uhg I'm so tired of lat pull downs right now. I think I'm feeling it in my wrists too. We did at least 16 sets just from pulldowns

-HS Pullovers, up to 6 plates, these felt good.

-We did one other thing but I can't remember what it was right now. Too tired.

Then my did abs.

-Started on a ab crunch machine and it felt good so I decided to push it just a little to 30, then I was in a nice rhythm and decided to do 40, then I decided that 50 would be much more impressive, next thing I knew I did 70 reps.

-Did some other funky ab machine but only did ten cause I didn't really like it.

-Did a standing grab the cable handles and bend forward ab thing and pushed it again and again did 70 reps.

-Then I finished up with weighted torso twists and did 40.
I ended up doing 230 reps on my abs today. I think they might hurt tomorrow.

Funny thing is, at this point our workout was done. My training partner went home but I felt great, like really good and wanted to push it so I decided that since I'm taking Sunday off, I might as well make it worth it and do some chest too. When I went over to the chest area for cable stuff, I decided I like the handles on the shoulder press better so I went over there to take those, but then I realized my shoulders didn't hurt so I needed to remedy that. I decided to do a quick set there on the FreeMotion Overhead Cable Press. I remember that I used to use this cable machine years ago and could only do 120. I decided that I'm stronger now and that I was going to do the whole stack of 150. So I did and got it 4 times. Then I did a full set incorporating rest/pause.

-Now back to chest! I just jumped on the FreeMotion Cable Chest Press and did rest/pause sets.

-Pec Deck, rest/pause

Well now that I did my upper body pretty good, I decided that I should just finish myself off so I jumped on some legs.

-Laying Hamstring Curls, rest/pause

-Abductors

-Adductors

Whew! Now I'm spent! I figured it was good time to stretch so I went in the cold steam room. What? Yes cold. Guess the thing recently broke since the condensation on the walls were cold too. Well I just move my little rump on over next door to the dry sauna and stretched in there and that completed my extra long workout session today. I already ache and can't wait for tomorrow's pain of blissful success!

Yeah it was pretty intense. My arms, back, abs, and my serratus are ALL killing me today. Good stuff!
 
Yesterday was the chestiness.

-Bench Press
I decided to see if I could get 315, like I used to before my last cut/contest prep where I lost a bit too much mass in the process. I got it up by myself for my second rep and then Andy helped me with some forced reps. It's getting there.

-Incline Bench Press

-Cable Flyes

-HS Chest Press

lots of sets yesterday so it looks like less but chest is sore so I'm happy. Afterwards I went hiking in the mountains with my wife and we did some random pictures and videos just goofing around and having fun.

Today I was kinda dragging so I took my intraTest Xtreme preworkout with Superpump Max, sour apple. The flavor combination was actually really good.

Legs today was simple. We did high sets again and only a few exercises.

-Leg Press on both Nautilus and Precor.
Went up to 810 pounds (18 plates)

-Hamstring Curls

-Calf Press

Tonight I have basketball again and will finish off my legs there.
 
Great update James. I hope to hit 315 by the end of my current run, high hopes! 18 plates on leg press is beast as well. It's a workout just loading and unloading all that weight!
 
Today for my pre-workout concoction I had intraTest (3 scoops) with 5g creatine mono, with 2g agmatine, and 2 servings of Opus. Flavor and mixing aside, the performance today was amazing! I did delts and then arms and my arms felt like they were going to burst.

-Overhead Press
6 sets

-Side Lateral Raises
4 or 5 sets

-Front Raises
5 sets

-Rear Delt
4 sets


on to arms

-Tricep rope pressdowns
supersetted with:
-Bicep Cable Drag Curls
did full stack on FreeMotion functional trainer for both
5 sets

-Nautilus Plate Loaded Bicep Curl
I really liked this one as it gave me a great ROM and was taxing. I was able to pyramid up to 80 lbs per arm for 3 reps on my last set. These were single arm only.
supersetted with:
-Nautilus Plate Loaded Tricep Extensions
This was pretty good too, but a little difficult to start because my arms were getting pretty swollen and I lacked the flexibility to get my arm back far enough for the start position, until I did some body shimmying to get into place but they worked it good to. Went up to 75 pounds per arm here but still finished with 9 reps so next time I'll increase it.

It sure is. With all the PR's you've been hitting and the great progress you've been making, I think you just might get there!

Glad somebody like them! Just took another serving of intraTest Xtreme. I wish you guys offered more flavors of it, I'm digging the stuff so far. And Happy Thanksgiving to everybody.
 
Just got back from our local Turkey Bowl. First time I've played football in years. Like many years. I found that I'm more suited as a tight end because I did well with blocking and short passes. The longer passes...well, I know I can get them sometimes but not today! I traded my speed for mass it seems. It was fun though. Plus our team won and I got two touchdowns.
 
Today I started as a back day and then ended up turning it into a pleasure pack of everything.

-HS horizontal grip rows

-Underhand rows
this one felt nice today

-DB rows
did the heaviest this gym had, 120's. Took a vid of it. Take a look. Or else.




-Cable low rows
Went to the Y today and took my family, decent equipment, not great but enough to get things done. Unfortunately I maxed out several of the machines and cables there like this one.


Moving on to other things now.

Delts sounded good next.

-Barbell Overhead Press
one plate felt light today so I worked up to 185 lbs. I was able to get it for 6 reps for a lovely PR. Hey---I never said I was strong!

-Single arm lateral raises

-Rear Delt using cables


Good nuff. Moving on to chest.

-Incline Barbell Bench Press
135 felt ridiculously light today. This is unique because usually the barbell inclines usually don't feel very good on my shoulder, which I don't really have a problem with yet.
225 felt good. Better then expected.
245x4, but only 2 without any assistance at all. PR, yup, sad I know but I'm happy for it! My previous best is 240 but with DB's (120's).

since I was feeling stronger on those I decided to play with flat bench.

Then tried 315 again since I wanted to see if I could truly get it again without any help at all. Well, I got it 3 times, but alas, none by myself. Spotter said he barely helped on the first two but that still counts as assisted in my book so not quite back to where I used to be, but closing in on it.

Well I did all that so might as well do a little bit of legs as well.

-Single leg press

-HS Hamstring Curls with some forced reps at the end of each set.

-Leg Press

-Calf Press

-Abductors and adductors

ok, that's enough, I'm pooped now. Felt like I got a good workout in.

Took a preworkout with some agmatine and my intraTest Xtreme today and it seemed to work quite well for me.

on the smith with a higher then usual angle to change things up a bit

-Flat Bench Press
tried 315 again. that was my third attempt since last Monday. I couldn't tell exactly how close I was this time because even after telling my spotter to give me the weight between reps while trying not to kill myself, he still held onto the bar. I guess I didn't show enough confidence to let feel it would be safe for me or wise for him, lol! Maybe I should try it first thing in my workout next time.

-Cable Flyes
lots of them and in various positions

-Nautious Chest Press with parallel grip

did about 20 sets today and got a nice chest pump. later on today I met up with a friend from school who said I was looking huge. Gotta love those comments!

It actually has been very mild this year. Only snowed a couple times and nothing serious. Good luck on your upcoming interviews sweetie! I hope and wish nothing but the very best for you with all my heart!
 
I was standing at the register as school today to buy some food and a guy came up to me and asked me how much protein I was taking in a day. Then then goes on about how much and about carbs and if I eat 6 meals a day and all that. The creepy part is that I have no clue who this guy is but he then goes on to say that he's seen me eating my chicken and meals before.
