I'm new to the experience so I can't quite say "I'm a fan" of fat bars, but I just used some fatgripz for DB presses and man was it great! Felt so much easier than using those puny, straw-thick handles the DBs normally have (big palms, small/normal fingers btw).

There's a slight change with diet today bc of fasted training. I had 50gr Vitargo with 50gr whey isolate pre/intra. Chicken meal will be subb'd with beef today so two beef meals. Workout was crappy, I was super stiff and couldn't get lose in the time I had.

I used to love the original Vitargo.

I ordered some of Gaspari's new carb(cyclic dextrins) Glycofuse. Going to try that for a while in place of Karbolyn.
 
Question for all you big vets , are Hack Squats the ones that are like a Deadlift but behind you?
 
Those are BB hack squats.. 98% of the time someone refers to them though they are talking about a hack machine.

Ooooooooh I have seen a multitude of people do those like at 25% ROM or Knee Unlocking motions in the Smith Machine here at UT! It is so funny seeing them load 225+ and thinking they are actually getting it , or getting anything out of it!

Full ROM looks a bit odd though, I guess the machine makes it better.
 
These are actually a really killer variation done correctly. Great at the end of a wo to just hammer your quads.

Hacks are my favorite finisher for leg workouts. Hard to find a machine with a platform big enough so I can get proper foot placement the one at my gym my feet are like half off. Hmmm this convo sounds familiar

Ah yes, the Scott Squats. Those were pretty nice. I did them last year, but since then either no smith machine or ceilings are too low to the ground to elevate myself high enough for these.

Machine hack squats are awesome. They're my favorite quad exercise by far, though I haven't done any since maybe April. Most of the ones I have seen either don't have a back pad that long or it's short enough where your butt can actually pop behind you a bit, allowing you to descend more fluidly. I managed to work up to somewhere around 380-400lbs on those for a set of 6. Never made it to 300 for a set of 20 I don't think, even though I squatted 315 for 20.

I think I have done 5-6 plates per side for 10 a while back. Now I do them towards the end of my WO, with a pause at the bottom, so typically 3 plates a side for 10 and I am spent. heh

I feel like crap, means it was a good leg workout! Did post workout cardio and now I'm laying on my couch feeling like death. I got some BCAA post workout but no way I'm gonna eat.

Other than that diet was good today, same old same old. I see an early bed time in my future....

Holy crap the gym was busy tonight, must have caught wind I was training shoulders :bb3: lol.

I had to modify my workout bc the gym was so busy but it proved well. I got to test some strength on prior lifts.

I decided to not do rear delts and save them for back day. Today was one of those workouts where everything was clicking, perfect mind muscle contraction and a HUGE pump! I went back to ole WMS+Whey. Idk how vascarity was bc I've been training in 3/4 or long sleeve shirts.

Got cardio in post workout. All meals were the same as normal. BigT, if I dose PA at 60min and Micro at 30. I have zero problem and awesome workouts ^^^^^

I'll try and train the rest of the week in a Tank, see vascularity and how it's doing. Days are winding down on PA, I'm looking forward to not being hungry 24/7 though :lol:

Arms baby! I've got my pre-workout perfected, had really good pumps and strength today.

Gym is so crowded though, it makes me have to slightly alter something from week to week but the base stays the same.

What I did today thats been different

-1hr Pre-workout: PA + 25gr Whey+25gr WMS in 20oz water
-30min Pre-workout:2 scoops Micro in 6oz water (all the more I had left, i was in the car)
-Intra: 25gr Whey+50gr WMS+2 scoops ModernBCAA in about 50oz water
 
A lot of dudes were looking at me funny doing the Hammer Curls with 65's. I presume its because I workout in a 3XL 3/4 sleeve shirt and gangster shorts (kind of like capree's I guess.) So I just look like this stumpy guy that all you can make out is my traps outline and skinny wrist's :lol:

I'm also rocking out to Biggie, lip syncing most everything haha.

I don't know how you can rock a 3XL bro. I am comfortable in a 2XL but could never even think of going 3XL unless I knew it was going to shrink dramatically.

I don't mind baggy stuff, most of them are shirts from college. There was always a standard 3XL from when I was manager of the basketball team because the guys were so tall. They'd pick and choose when they wanted smaller sizes so there was always some extra.

It's either 2X or 3X, only thing I roll in anymore now that its not 110 everyday. If it cool's down enough, i'll switch to the XL 3/4 sleeve, v-neck custom sweatshirts which is reallllly old school.

True, you are getting hyoooooge. You're still lean tho bro.

Been going since 88' I think? Lol. Well my contest date has changed since I'm moving. It would have been like 15 weeks other wise. Guess this has transformed to an "off-season" log
