So idk if any of you have heard about scoobysworkshop, besides being ridiculously biased I honestly have to believe this guy is on something. He touts the natural lifestyle but I really wonder if someone that age can hold those gains naturally? Any thoughts?

No it's scoobysworkshop.com

Just listen to some of the **** he spouts its crazy. But I want everyone's opinion on him being 'natural' cause I honestly think its hogwash.

says creatine isn't essential -.- I'm like wtf seriously have you ever heard of ATP..

I was on that dudes site before. no ****ing way he's all natural. he says he's a vegan!!!! and that creatine ****ed his liver up beyond all belief.

find the video of him doing his "posing workout" for when you're out of town and need to get swole still

the dude is nuts

and I'm jealous because I'm not jacked like him

Yeah dude. What's worse is he's not like the other bodybuilders out there who are like I'm natural and shrug it off.

He's like I'm natural and I hate you and you're dumb if you use ROIDS! Seriously negs on everyone in the fitness industry(from a to zyzz). I wish there was a way to knock him off his high horse and expose him for what he is. Feeds so much bs to the masses

i saw this dude on youtube actually and i totally agree with u! there is no way in hell he is natural, at all!! plus he comes across as a real douche bag

Completly douchey! He comes across as super self righteous toting 'natural bodybuilding'. Dude is full of **** there's no way at that age he could hold those gains without some Kind of supplementation. Worst part is he's brain washing a lot of people who are trying to get into bodybuilding.

On one hand he is encouraging people to workout, and that is never a bad thing.
Is he giving out the best advice? No.
Is he giving out dangerous or bad advice? Not really.
That being said, anytime some one says that their method or program is the "best" or the "right" one, they are probably full of crap.
It's a workout not a religion.
There is no "best" or "right" program that works for everyone. A lot of different programs work for a lot of different people.
Yes there are some fundamental truths, eat more move less equals weight gain.
Move more eat less equals weight loss.
Beyond that there are many different diets and workouts that work well.
May I add that the term bro-science has jumped the shark! Just because something hasn't been proven in a lab, doesn't make it ineffective.
A lot of science begins anecdotally.
Peace

Well said

Definitely agree! This dude is a special one though, he claims he uses no supplements in one video and then in another vid he claimed that bodybuilding.com put steroids in there supplements. Thats a pretty serious allegation if u ask me and he had no solid evidence to prove his findings.

Yeah he operates on bro science and yet harps on others when they do the same. I guess mostly I have a problem with fakes cause no way he's natural..

I dont understand why people have such a hard time saying they use. People know u do wether u tell them or not. Its frustrating that someone in the public eye wont even own up, i mean, dudes in his 50s. What does he have to loose?

I'm going to check his site out a bit later.

he has some pretty ****in funny videos. he definetly gives some good tips on how to stay in shape at home if you're not looking to do anything serious hut he definetly throws out a false sense of hope by flexing his shirtless geared up body with his bucket cap

Not supporting the site but why do you think he is on gear? You don't think anyone can keep a body like that in old age?

not by what he preaches. I'm sure you can be natural like that, but seeing him like that and then give the information he gives to look like that-just doesn't make sense that's all.

I just hate his voice, dumb videos, and bucket cap. I'm sure he could be natural though

Yeah I thought you would be able to look like that with hard work and a good diet, I don't really watch his videos

Im not arguing the age thing, I'm arguing at some point the dude has been on gear, in his bio you can see a huge size change in his physique over a few years as well as hair loss, plus the dude is tall hes 6 foot something and weighs some ungodly amount. even if he is working out crazy hard muscle is lost at a rate of 5% every ten years after 25 and scooby is close to his 60s i believe. even if hes on trt or something i just feel its dishonest to tote natural bodybuilding and be all high horsed about it when you're obviously hiding something.

and again he is close to 60..

Right , that makes sense. So another question.. you're saying that after 25 it doesn't matter how you diet because you're still going to lose muscle at the rate you said unless you gain on gear? Just wondering!

Naw man plenty of people I know over 25 make great natty gains! But it is scientifically shown that natural testosterone starts to go down past 25 years old and if you've already been training gains are much harder to come by and hold on to. But look at natural masters competitions in bodybuilding. Many of those men have been training their whole life natty an they pale in comparison to scooby who is up there in age. Just makes me wonder

Ahhhhhhhhh I get where you're coming from now! I do like one thing about his site though and that's his wall of shame with the advertisements and ****

That's a baseline, if you workout and eat right you can offset that.
I am 46, and most of my best gains have happened after 25.

Now I am not defending Scooby, he seems like a tool, and I question anyone who is dogmatic in their approach.
However, even if he is on anabolics,
Is it any different than pro body builders who push supplements while on enough gear to choke a horse.
A hypocrite is hypocrite.
Peace

Completely true. But you also don't see them blatantly blasting users and harping on anyone who does. It's a big reason why I like people like Gregg Valentino, sure he's quirky but if you listen to his interviews he's one of the most honest people about the sport out there.

Jay cutler ( sort of) admits to steroids in an old interview stating that its a must in his line of work, but its true in that respect I like scooby for shooting down the supplement biz which is just crazy pants for sure.

guys a joke can't say weather or not he's natural but i will call him out on being a douchebag
