looks good

thx, he took 1st in super heavyweight and overall. I think he has the drive and genetics to go pro, just wanted to see others opinions.

What was his competition weight?

At competition he was 5'11'' 227lb. He's shooting for 270ish by april and hopefully grabbing his procard and a sponsor this coming summer.

You're saying he is going to hit 270 and then compete a couple months later? If he competed at 227, then that is going to be a tremendous jump for him. Am I understanding you right?

Edit: Nevermind. He was 227 in 2010. He looks good, man.

Overall solid.. after all he won the Colorado state overall.

Needs to fill out his frame more though. His arms are lagging, chest is lagging, lats need to widen, traps are flat, quads could use more sweep, back could use some thickness, hmm... shoulders are nice and big, and overall leg development is pretty good. Conditioning is good as well.

If he wants to be a pro he'll have very tough competition. Check out the guys on pro muscle. Some of those guys look pro and are having troubles getting their cards.

Sorry I've been away from this post for a bit, but I did pass the advice along. Seems there are some politics involved in getting to the pro level via the Colorado circuit. While they can't influence the judges, they can influence who competes at what event. So that said when the powers that be notify my guy then he can move into competition for a pro card, more than likely not this year, but the following. Right now he's following recommendations on show to compete in.
