Airborne goes Anabolic - Cycle Not For The Weak!

I like to do medium rep sets (8-12 reps) and high rep sets (18-25 or so) for when cutting (maybe 2 exercises at 3-4 sets each twice a week). I don't lift heavy on a cut, medium is my heavy. so 25 rep sets on the leg press or whatever suck. big time. I'd rather deadlift or bench press for 4-8 reps and I'm done with that set. takes forever to rep out 25 :D

Just go heavy. I'm cutting right now and I still put up the same weight as when I'm bulking. No reason to change anything up.

I want the cardio effect from the high rep sets....if you don't get your heart rate up from 4 sets of 25 reps you are doing it wrong. I do high rep sets in place of cardio, and like I said medium rep sets are fine for me when on such low calories. weren't you the guy arguing with big tex about high reps vrs cardio the other day? you change your mind? :D

I agree with this, it's kinda counter intuitive to do hypertrophy work, when you aren't eating at a caloric surplus. It's for mass but you aren't eating enough to put any mass on. Strength however, you can maintain and even improve, on a cut. A lot of people preach, including me, that you should cut the fat with the same training style you used to put on the muscle.

this is my point, seems dumb to me....you are taking in shyt for calories really, "ain't no muscle gonna get built"....but I suppose if you are anal about your strength? go for it. I am not, I don't care about how much I can bench press. I just lift the heaviest I can, and on a cut I don't lift heavy at all. just me, makes sense to me at least.

there is going to be a disconnect here no matter what, you are concerned about keeping your strength while cutting...and I am not. I am only concerned with burning fat and preserving muscle on a cut....and want to avoid cardio and use my diet and weight training to burn the fat (yes high rep sets raise your heart rate and DO burn calories just like cardio whether anybody agrees or not)...has nothing to do with years of experience, has to do with what your goals are on a cut and what methods you employ to achieve those goals. different goals = different methods. simple as that.

I think you misinterpreted my suggestions and the reason I gave them. That being said, do whatever the f** you want. It's just advice. :) I mean that politely. "Do whatever the f*** you wanna do." is just one of my favorite fitness quotes.

haha, its such horseshyt though.....2.5G or 5G or 7.5G or 10G equates to 25mg-100mg, with a 10% absorption rate....which equals 2.5mg-10mg per day of actual test (maybe you can double it or more if you apply with a carrier) its so watered down....but I guess 60-70mg per week with minimum absorption rate on the 7.5-10G is pretty decent, nice test base esp if you stack it with topical DHEA and take some DAA to see if that jacks up your natural test (exogenous androgel test might make that endogenous increase moot, not sure). but the 2.5G/mg first month is stupid.....

sounds almost like 24 hour fitness, except the DB. They also ban chalk. Another reason home gyms are nice.

I guess it makes it easier for them to clean up? I dunno, I think it's silly though. I bought three cases of my own chalk and some industrial gym floor mats for home. I can drop any weights, scream as loud as I want, and chalk up everything in the room and it's all good! When I do go to the gym when I want to use some other equipment, then I bring out a Onion Powder spice bottle with me that I filled with my chalk, lol!

Now we're lifting heavy in PCT too? do you guys EVER not lift heavy? have you all every been higher than say a 15 rep set in your lifetimes? Jesus mary and joseph :D

Judge Dredd was one of the coolest comics ever....used to read it when I was younger, harder to find since it was from the UK...but the comic store I went to had everything.
