Your new favorite band!

Mine isn't new but I kinda "rediscovered" how awesome Ben Folds is. Had always heard the singles on the radio back in the day, but picked up the 3 CD Best Imitation of Myself and am smitten!

yelawolf isn't a band, he's a solo rapper......no offense guys but nothing like a rap concert...been to many rock concerts and they just don't hold up

I just don't like the sound of rap live, the experience is always fun. The headlining rapper raps and then on the last line of the bar the entourage (or whoevers with him) says the last word. I dunno, maybe I just haven't seen the right person yet. My favorite thing about live rock is sometimes the sound is completely different or a lot of stuff has added. Just isn't the case for that in the rap concerts I've been at!

not all rappers do that....i know 50 cent does it and he's not really good in concert...but ppl like busta rhymes, ludacris, and jayz is nothing like i've ever seen...the energy is incredible....rock concerts just give me headaches...then again i don't really like rock music in general

I have seen both luda and jay z and they both do that. The Roots are great live.

Favorite newish bands are Matisyahu and Hollywood Undead-Swan Songs.

Lol, but you titled it Your new favorite band! Someone mentioned rap as a new favorite band and the conversation merged. If you wanted just Austrian Death Machine talk you shouldn't have asked for other people's new favorite bands....you should have just said check out Austrian Death Machine they rock :)
 
since i don't listen to "bands", my new favorite group is slaughterhouse....they rn't really that new anymore, but still new to most people
