With so many different ways to utilize BCAA's, I'm seeking out opinions from people who have actually done some research on the best time to utilize large amounts of BCAAs.

One hour after I eat breakfast in the morning, I put a scoop on nutraplants BCAAs in my pre-workout drink. After my workout, I use 30g maltodextrin + 30g dextrose + 5g creatine and then 15-20 min later I use platnium hydrobuilder. I'm curious if there is anything I could do differently to get the most use out of the BCAAs.
 
As long as you aren't taking them food, you should be optimizing their absorbtion.

That's fine. Most folks ingest BCAAs about 15 minutes before working out. They're most effective when you're in a fasted state, since amino levels will increase after protein consumption.

Much more than that, the differences are very small and not worth sweating.
 
I agree with everyone too I normally take mine post workout streight after I get home from the gym the body will utilize the bcaas alot then my post workout shake 15 after
 
best to take intra workout or before cardio although i feel like like bcaa, glutamine and arginine are the most overrated bodybuilding supps as long as you have a good protein powder you'll get plenty of bcaa's. To each his own though.
 
I drink BCAAs all day long. Gallon jug with some BCAAs in it, drink thoughout the day.

Yup me too...gets me through to my fast breaker (I follow Lean Gains) and right through my workout.

well, if you look at layne norton's research, a single dose of at least 5g of leucine (so around 10g of a 2:1:1 BCAA, 7 for a 4:1:1) taken rapidly gives the maximum protein synthesis boost.

really depends on whether you are taking it to avoid catabolism like during a cut phase, or whether you are actively trying to gain more muscle

Yup me too...gets me through to my fast breaker (I follow Lean Gains) and right through my workout.

Given the questionable return using that approach (sipping all day), I ceased (didnt want to waste my BCAA's = $$$).
 
I only use about 4 scoops per gallon, so the amount of BCAAs is small, but I feel it makes a difference. I've gone using the gallon jug to not having BCAAs all day, and I can tell a difference, so to each their own, but the amount of BCAAs used in the gallon jug is small, just to keep me in a positive state for protein synthesis all day.
 
i consume aminos intra/post and add bulk to my shakes during the day.
