Sodium Nitrate vs Creatine Nitrates

I feel like I am about to get hazed off the board for askign this but oh well.....

If sodium Nitrates are cacinogenic, why are creatine Nitrates being pimped w/o the same disclaimer?

Sodium nitrate interacts with other substances in your stomach to form nitrosamines. The Linus Pauling Institute's website indicates that nitrosamines are chemical compounds that may have carcinogenic properties. Most nitrosamines are mutagens, which are substances that can change genetic material, including DNA. Nitrosamines are common partly because chemical procurers to these compounds are also common, and chemical reactions that form nitrosamines are easy to replicate.

Re-read the study. The bottom line applies to essentially every supplement:

"While the acute toxicity of nitrate is very low or absent, any confusion leading to a large unintentional intake of nitrite or organic nitrates and nitrites is potentially life threatening."

Nitrates can be quite favorable for cardiovascular health if used responsibly.
